Police kidnapped me one day for having a laptop too early in my village. After the torture, I paid through my nose and relocated permanently to the city.

I just lost my dad. It was a Federal Medical Centre. I had paid for oxygen to he administered. Midway into the administration, the oxygen in the whole centre ran out!!! There was no reserve anywhere. He was left gasping for hours. By the time oxygen finally arrived, it was too late. He died. That's the kind of useless country we live in.

During Buhari Regime when our bank cards couldn't do dollar transactions. It made me miss my AWS exams

The week he had an appointment with his doctor the state government failed to pay retirees and as a retiree that had about 4 children in the university he had no money for the monthly checkup at the hospital and he couldn't meet up with the appointment.
To cut the long story short, he got paid the next week, went to the hospital to see his doc who wasn't on duty that day, met a nurse who told him she could help him do the doc's procedure on him which was done. That same night there was complications. He couldn't urinate and he died by midnight. This is one of the reasons I'm always annoyed when a Nigerian ask his fellow country man why he wants to travel out if he has upto 50 million naira in his account, knowing fully well that many people travel out for different reasons. I've lost many pple who could have easily survived outside Nigeria and yet the leaders who can't even treat common malaria in Nigeria would always tell us that all is well in the country and that we shouldn't complain.

Depends on the aspect you looking at?
Was struggling to raise school fee for my kids in university, UNILAG and able get it done before registration closes but the money was refunded via NELFUND + Monthly upkeep stipends compared to when my business practically became dormant as a result of forex instability of the past. In both cases Nigeria happened to me both positively and negatively!
The negatives becomes advtange because i was able to develop similar product that requires no forex to purchase!

Sorry for your experience...but note not everyone has negative tale about Nigeria.... Nigeria has been happening to a lot of people in a good way 😉

Represented Nigeria at a global event at age 26.

Both were my first ever international trips.

One day it'll also happen to you by then you'll know what it means to lose a loved one due to negligence and bad leadership. Lemme inform u that after the death of the man the wife who was also a primary school teacher passed on this year due to the fact that she was unable to move on. She'll be buried next week and the children are still in school. Will u come and pay their school fees?

...some come back to Nigeria to have their medical check up
