Pastor tobit runs a church but as well as a self development center where many of those people are rehabilitated and helped to be productive and financially free.

Problem with tithe is not the payment of tithes, but what the money is used for.

Yes, pastors have to earn decent salaries...but if the tithe is being used to upgrade pastor from toyota corolla to Mercedes Benz Gwagon, or ferrari , and to upgrade him from two bedroom house to 20 bedroom mansion and private helicopter...better think again

If it is being used for missions, helping the needy, needed repairs on the church, and paying church workers who work fulltime decent salaries...good.

Also, most of us pay tithes not to glorify God but because we expect God to bless us. In other words, we are treating God like an investment company. That is very very wrong.

Christianity is a dying or dead religion, as Jesus said the love of money is the root of all evil. Most pastors are " men of the flesh" talk less of men of God. If I was a pastor I would drive a clean 504 from 1986 and be called a Rich Pastor. Riches is not in owning a Bentley, riches is owning what people say is useless and making it beautiful. To be rich is not to follow what society says but to create your own standards.
