Ask the people fleeing Europe to US why they are despite your claim of insecurity

In US you are free, you pay less taxes, you live better, you have more disposable income, The worst US state Mississippi rivals the richest EU country in GDP

In the USA, you are free.....
to accumilate wealth mindlessly, bribe regulators, etc
you have more "disposable income" but you need guarded and militarised private estates to protect yourself
Public schools are crap
And the Mississipi argument you posted is not a smart argument

Equatorial Guinea has a way higher GDP per capita than Nigeria
But by every metric, that country is WORSE than Nigeria, and their people live in even more squalif conditions than Nigerians
Mississipi is a dump compared to Germany which is the fourth biggest economy known to mankind
Who makes these weak arguments sef?

Healthcare is better in US, the best healthcare professionals are in the US, the sickness they cannot treat all over the world they bring it to the US

Healthcare is better in the USA ?
Lmao
Please I no wan laugh
If that is the case, why does the united States have a way lower life expectancy than their peers in Europe and Japan ?
What are you saying sef?

All the top companies are in the US, the richest people live in the US
On the flipside

1. America has the highest inequality rate in the developed world
2. The only developed country WITHOUT universal healthcare
3. Gun violence off the charts
4. Legalised corruption (Citizens united)

Thanks for this.

People who care and work only for the rich and influential folks.

Health care can burn to ashes just to increase the wealth of the already wealthy.

Despite all these, More UK citizens still rather relocate to US even the millionaires who are doing well than the US millionaires relocating to UK

People want to accumulate wealth to whatever limit their abilities can take them, they have more disposable income which is why the US even has to subsidize EU and NATO
Ordinary to defend themselves from Russia, they are begging Big uncle US to help them out otherwise they might be speaking Russia in London soon, Actually it happened before in 1945 when US helped to stop Hitler and prevent UK from speaking German

The healthcare thing is sooo disingenuous. All European "free" healthcare is paid for by the USA. I've explained this in prior posts. The cut throat workaholic and highly productive culture of the USA provides the money for Europeans, Canadians, Australians and NZ to get "free" healthcare and long vacations and other welfare goodies.

You're correct, without USA military defense the Soviet Union or Russia would have taken the whole Continent decades ago, they wouldn't even have countries talk less of healthcare. The money they save on just defense pays for a lot of that welfare. Go read the news....the German government collapsed because President Trump asked them to increase their defense spending! They know. Trump has forced Germany into a printing and borrowing spree, let's see how long their welfare state lasts now they have to put up some money. Is anyone following what's happening in France? USA has closed their wallet, everyone is feeling the heat.

This is similar to Nigeria....where's petrol subsidy? Electricity subsidy is on the way out too. University fees are going up. There's no free money tree in ANYWHERE, someone is paying.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

At least i can walk past met police and not fear for my life because one racist cop is gonna have a problem with me

Food standards are higher here

UK is safer with less casualties per capita than USA

I wont get bankrupt because of medical bills

Laws are stronger here and there is little room for bigotry here
Be a bigot and watch ur life get torn to shreds, but in America its open season and a bigots paradise

My tax bill sometimes stings me
But if thats the price im willing to pay for Britain to NOT become the USA
Then so be it

This is a very silly post
USA defending Europe from a Russia /Soviet union that is bogged down in Ukraine ?
Britain and France alone have nuclear deterrents

And the Soviet Union/Russia do not even have the logistical capacities to run a sustained campaign in Europe, as evidenced by their misadventure in Ukraine

That's the lie that the USA have spread to justify their unjustifiable military budgets

All these are lies and misinformation
But make una continue

If I really say what I think about this your post, the bot will delete the post again

At the end of the day, anybody will believe what they want to believe

I just hope other people are not believing all these crap una dey push out

Trump is about to fire another prosecutor and throw ketchup on the wall.
See this is what happens when there is no case to prosecute. Prosecutors won't charge them as they don't like being embarrassed in court.
Unlike Trump's cases where they went to trial or would have gone to trial and he would have been convicted outside meddling by Judges he appointed.

The argument that the savings from defense spending is what funds the welfare of Europe is very ludicrous, misinformation and more lies to justify American dysfunction.

The difference between America and Europe is PRIORITIES

America has prioritised corporate greed
Europe prioritised welfare of their people

Someone is even saying that German economy is "collapsing" because Trump is "forcing their hand" to increase defence spending

Liberal led media houses are just propaganda lying networks . If there were true journalists , many things would be different. Russia would not have invaded Ukraine, Hamas would never have invaded Israel.

Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by basilico:
For my record. I asked Grok to explain how Bari Weiss memo addresses how media has fallen to the dogs.

The 10 Bullet Points from the Memo
Here are the 10 core journalistic values outlined in Bari Weiss's letter, extracted verbatim for clarity:
1.Journalism that reports on the world as it actually is.
2 Journalism that is fair, fearless, and factual.
3.Journalism that respects our audience enough to tell the truth plainly—wherever it leads.
4.Journalism that makes sense of a noisy, confusing world.
5.Journalism that explains things clearly, without pretension or jargon.
6.Journalism that holds both American political parties to equal scrutiny.
7.Journalism that embraces a wide spectrum of views and voices so that the audience can contend with the best arguments on all sides of a debate.
8.Journalism that rushes toward the most interesting and important stories, regardless of their unpopularity.
9.Journalism that uses all of the tools of the digital era.
10 Journalism that understands that the best way to serve America is to endeavor to present the public with the facts, first and foremost.

Why This Memo Is a Relief to Journalism Ravaged by Partisan Media Hacks
Journalism, once a pillar of democratic society epitomized by CBS icons like Walter Cronkite—who delivered unvarnished truths during the Vietnam War era—has been systematically hollowed out over the past two decades by what can only be described as partisan media hacks. These are the ideologues masquerading as reporters, who prioritize tribal loyalty, clickbait outrage, and ideological echo chambers over facts. Outlets on both the left (e.g., MSNBC's relentless anti-Trump hysteria or CNN's performative moralism) and right (e.g., Fox News's grievance-fueled propaganda or Newsmax's conspiracy mills) have turned newsrooms into propaganda bunkers, where stories are selected, framed, and spun to flatter subscribers rather than inform citizens. The result? A profession "driven to the dogs": trust in media has cratered to historic lows (Gallup polls show only 31% of Americans trust news organizations as of 2024), polarization has deepened societal rifts, and real scandals—like government overreach or corporate corruption—get buried under partisan noise. We've seen whistleblowers silenced, dissenting voices canceled, and "objectivity" reduced to a punchline, all while algorithms reward sensationalism over substance.Enter Bari Weiss's memo, dated October 6, 2025, announcing her appointment as CBS News editor-in-chief amid Paramount's acquisition of her independent outlet, The Free Press.

This isn't just a corporate reshuffle; it's a lifeline—a defiant reclamation of journalism's soul at one of America's oldest broadcast networks. Weiss, who famously resigned from The New York Times in 2020 citing a toxic culture of ideological conformity, embodies the anti-hack ethos: principled, fearless, and allergic to the performative wokeness or blind conservatism that plagues legacy media.

Her letter radiates humility (rooted in her Pittsburgh family traditions) and urgency, framing her role not as a power grab but as a "privilege" to renew CBS's legacy in an "era that desperately needs it." It's a relief because it explicitly rejects the hacks' playbook:
Restoring Balance and Scrutiny:
Point 6's call for "equal scrutiny" of both parties is a direct rebuke to the asymmetry that's defined cable news—endless left-leaning sanctimony on one side, right-wing victimhood on the other. In a post-2024 election landscape where media bias accusations fly from all angles (including FCC probes into "news distortion" at CBS), this promises accountability without favoritism.

Prioritizing Truth Over Agendas:
Points 1, 2, and 3 demand reporting "as it actually is," "fearless" facts, and plain truth "wherever it leads." This counters the hacks' habit of burying inconvenient stories (e.g., ignoring Biden-era scandals if they hurt the "narrative" or downplaying Trump wins if they don't fit the script). Weiss's track record at The Free Press—delivering skeptical, diverse takes on culture wars and global events—signals a CBS that chases reality, not ratings-driven rage.
Embracing Diversity of Thought:
Point 7's embrace of a "wide spectrum of views" is a gut punch to the monocultures that have driven out centrist or contrarian voices, turning newsrooms into ideological fortresses. It's a nod to the "silent majority" Ellison cited in the acquisition, aiming to serve "the varied ideological perspectives of American viewers" rather than preaching to the choir.
No more "woke" litmus tests or hackish loyalty oaths; instead, robust debate to let audiences decide.
Courage in the Face of Unpopularity
: Points 8 and 10 urge rushing toward "important stories, regardless of their unpopularity" and facts "first and foremost." This is cathartic for a field scarred by self-censorship—think legacy outlets soft-pedaling COVID lab-leak theories or January 6 nuances to avoid backlash. Weiss's memo vows to lead with an "open mind" and "urgent deadline," echoing the reporter's notebook over the activist's manifesto.
Clarity and Innovation for All: The remaining points (4, 5, 9) tackle the hacks' other sins: obfuscation via jargon-filled virtue-signaling, algorithmic sensationalism, and a refusal to adapt digitally. By committing to clear explanations and digital tools, Weiss positions CBS as a beacon in a "noisy, confusing world," accessible to everyday Americans tired of elite gaslighting.

In sum, this memo is a relief because it arrives at a nadir: amid Trump-era pressures on media (e.g., settlement threats and FCC scrutiny), CBS could have doubled down on hackery to appease one side.

Instead, Weiss's vision—backed by The Free Press's 1.5 million subscribers and $15M+ revenue—infuses CBS with outsider energy, promising to drag journalism back from the brink.

It's not perfect (critics already decry her as "anti-woke" or pro-Israel), but it's a bold pivot toward trust-building in a fractured America.

For those who've mourned the profession's decline, this feels like the tick-tick-tick of a reset button: journalism, rearmed and renewed.

I'd rather the far right then the evil left. The right operates on a moral compass , the left revels in degeneracy.
As an immigrant I perfectly understand why you hate the far right.
From my birds eye view the radical left is composed of power hungry, fascist , brainwashed lunatics. The far right resents changes being inposed on their society , which I find perfectly understable. How the far right react is subject to debate..
The far right is extremely more tolerant than the left .

Liberals hold themselves as elites. During my university days the loudest guys calling themselves the cream of the society were the Faculty of Arts students. Never mind STEM programmes require higher grades than the Arts .

Not a lot of the honesty nor intelligence amongst the "Conservative" posters.

Haha this site just deleted my post because I included a pic of Emmitt Till while asking Ono is it better for a black person today than the 1950's where you could be lynched for talking to a white woman.
Ono would probably say he deserved it.

Aside: Seun the AI moderator here is terrible.
Where a CHILD could be lynched

He was 14 years old.

There is another kid George stinney who was accused arrested jailed and executed.

My son was the same age when I first read of this

This is actually the goal when conservatives defund education, go to war with Wikipedia and loot museums. Erase history and pretend it never happened

People like Charlie Kirk would have you believe Civil rights were a 1 and 0. Suddenly appeared out of nowhere, rather than the results of a decades long struggle

Passing, in the context of race, occurs when one conceals their socially applied racial identity or ethnicity in order to be perceived as another race for acceptance and/or other benefits.[1] Historically, the term has been used primarily in the United States to describe a Black person of mixed race who has assimilated into the white majority to escape the legal and social consequences of racial segregation and discrimination. In the Antebellum South, passing as White was sometimes a temporary disguise used as a means of escaping slavery, which had become a racial caste.
This is all you need to know about the so called benefits of being black before civil rights. People would literally separate from their entire families so they could have done form of peace in a racist society.

Explain that to a layman.
Or you could spend a fraction of the time you spent posting here, learning about US law, so you won't always sound so vapid.

A grand jury has the lowest burden of proof to get an indictment.
It is also a one sided process where only the Prosecution presents their side of the case.
So, the Grand Jury only votes on what the Prosecution said.
It is also not unanimous; just half of the jurors have to vote Yes.
Thus, it is said a grand jury would indict a ham sandwich.

A grand jury can vote to indict, and the case will still woefully fail at court because unlike a Grand Jury, the Trial Jury has to have a unanimous verdict and the standard of proof is "beyond a reasonable doubt".
And Federal Prosecutors ethically aren't supposed to bring cases they don't believe they can win.
They can't win this case.

You spend so much time peddling legal fiction yet haven't taken much time to learn about the US legal system.
Maybe research is hard with ur 2g phone.
