Uproar as female teacher brutalizes Enugu pupil

Outrage is trailing a video circulating on social media, which showed bruises allegedly inflicted on a pupil by her teacher at a private school in Abakpa Nike, Enugu State.

The incident which reportedly occurred on Monday has drawn widespread condemnation from Nigerians who demanded justice for the child.

In the viral clip, the mother of the pupil was seen crying and calling for the teacher to be produced, while bystanders urged her to remain calm and repeatedly demanded that the teacher be brought out.

The mother claimed she was alerted by a phone call to come to the school after her child was allegedly flogged to the point of being unable to walk.

“I want to show you people my baby’s wound. Are you seeing what a teacher did to my child?” She said amid tears.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from the school or the Enugu State Ministry of Education.

The Teacher should be taken for psychiatric evaluation. Not everyone outside is normal.

The teacher may be going through alot and decided to transfer his/her aggressions on the poor child.

The mother took should not hesitate to transfer her own aggression on the teacher too.

That teacher should be jailed.

This is bad...the teacher did not remember the course they taught him/her about child development in the university. They should suspend the teacher, pay compensation, and send the teacher back to school.

Try this on my daughter, the school not just the teacher will weep and sorrow.

Teachers are not meant to flog kids. You don't know the health status of the child. Leave corporal discipline to the parents.

Those are the kind of teachers that are childless, so they are angry of not having children likes others.

As Nigerians were brought up, so we do the same

Most Nigerians flog their kids, even those as young as 3 years old. Because of the firm belief that 'it engenders discipline'. Many Nigerians carry that attitude abroad, where they get into trobule

And then there are those who come here to justify a man beating up his wife. Yeah, and people beating up NEPA workers, and soldiers beating up people we have issues with and so forth.
