Innocent and patriotic Nigerians suffer harassment in airports, visa denials, and constant suspicion simply because of the actions of a few.

Exactly! Innocent folks like myself have been embarrassed at foreign airports just cos of my green passport.. Such a shame!

It will not apply to Ekweremadu so they are likely to see the Law through.

Until criminal elements within our government cofers are made to face stringent punishment, for this one, it's like pouring water into a basket. Corrupt officials too should also be banned from getting a passport and placed under house arrest till every looted dime is recovered.

Do the same for those that commit crime within Nigeria too. I applaud this bill, bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.

This is what make me like this 10yrs.

Apparently one big shot somewhere has gone abroad to suffer humiliation at the airport because of his green passport. Personal experience is the only thing that stirs Nigerian senators to any kind of action.

Yes one region will cry because their brother the president left over a thousands of dollars in Chicago because of drug issues.

But they can't raise a bill for visa ban for any politician convicted of corruption

Every region in nigeria is culpable the regions where their citizens don't travel out their leaders who have lead this country more than others have committed more crimes put together than the citizens of the regions that do always travel abroad to commit various crimes, the public funds the leaders of these regions have looted would have been used to develop nigeria and
create opportunities for nigerian youths that are travelling out to commit crimes.

This is an audacious move, and I commend it. 10 years' ban is too small. If should a life ban.
However, I don't know why we don't convict and kill politicians found to be corrupt - something that China still does today.

That means Nigeria encourages corruption. That's why the world doesn't believe that Nigeria is fighting corruption. Nigerians who complain about corruption do so because they lack the opportunity to steal.

We really hope the ban will also include politicians caught abroad laundering nigerian looted public funds?

The bill doesn't make any sense at all. Its a product of lazy and redundant minds looking for activity to call legislation. How do your base your law on another state jurisprudence. What happens in the case of conflict? I'll understand if you say no political participation for the optics and image but this? NO!
