The well being of Americans is great, Its the greatest country in the world and we have found a system where people can live to their limits and enjoy freedom without shackles, make as much as they want and keep the fruit of their sweat. That is why America is the envy of the whole world including Europeans who will want to migrate here

Funny enough, Raumdeuter may be an intellectual in the MAGA movement. Just shows how weak most of the things they say are.
I try to go to "intellectual" Conservative sites like National Review to get an understanding of what underpins their arguments.
Assuming if there was one, I'd find it there.
And there is nothing there, just intellectual dishonesty.

This whole states' rights thing is case in point.

In a war, you will always have one or two soldiers who will do something like this. It is not new. It's not part of their doctrine. Civilians in Port Harcourt do it, soldiers in Nigeria do it, American, Russian, and British soldiers have all done something like that. And most times they are punished.

Your dad or your mum (or other old folks) in then days did benefit from scholarships in nigeria, thats if they weren't born in the US or if they were born into wealthy homes in nigeria. Peoples taxes took care of that.

Everyone contributing ensures those who are far less privileged can stand a chance to be supported to have access to affordable health care..because all lives matter.. its the same framework that ensures people pay their fair share of taxes to ensure all basic amenities are working effortlessly to the benefit of all..

Its like saying why dont we all build our individual roads, provide potable water for ourselves, provide our own security etc.. why pay taxes in the first place that ensures all of these amenities work for the benefit of all.

I am shocked in what you believe in as regards affordable health care for all.

At the end of the day, someone has to pay for these services, Potable water is not free, you pay water bill otherwise the water will stop running, The roads have tolls on them that is how they are paid for and maintained otherwise they stop working

There is a concept of Money which has to pay for stuff, If you want free healthcare, will doctors, nurses, pharmacies, electricity company who supply hospitals work for free?

That is why personal responsibility is important, you give birth to the number of children yu can care for, not hoping your neighbor is taxed to care for the children you chose to have

My parents told me stories of the endemic corruption in those Nigerian Scholarship Boards.

In the book "No Longer At Ease" by Achebe, the protagonist Obi Okonkwo was on a Scholarship Board and took a bribe to give an award.

Subsidies ARE corruption and ultimately infringe on human freedom and destroy economic productivity. The USA is the best country on earth precisely because it's based on LIMITED GOVERNMENT.

Government should be restricted to ACTIVITIES THAT ARE CLEARLY impossible for individuals to undertake. The Igbo of Nigeria generally didn't have free education yet attained some of the highest literacy and educational qualifications in Nigeria.

Government is always a PROBLEM, not a solution to anything.

The defence budget is what keeps ALL OF US safe. If we don't have security and safety we wont even be able to go to work or care about healthcare. Ask Ukrainians how their healthcare or economy is since the war started.

Part of our responsibility which previous leaders agreed to is defending EU through NATO which Trump is now adjusting by insisting that every NATO country start paying their portion
