There is an island I want them to colonize.

The time of the past brought us where we are today. We should not take what we see as the norm and judge it by today's standards. After all, those white people still fought and died to abolish slavery.

Everyone was colonizing, more advance group use ld their advancement as an advantage, the ones who were on the receiving end had no choice but to up their game. That's what Britons went through and then they mastered it.

We were savages back then. The way we fought wars have even changed.

So I am for a modern country to colonize that island, teach them what a bikini is, what sneakers are, what a television is, how to use a paddle, etc. They can learn all that and share their resources too till they learn to mine it themselves.

It is the Brits who FINALLY abolished slavery - in the modern world. They deserve some credit for that.

On our telly currently is a program about British development of nuclear bombs in colonised Australia, and the colonised aborigines don't seem to have found anything good in it.

They took our lands and divided them into portions for their rich families to rename, amalgamate and rule over as they saw fit.

We didn’t need them to farm sustainably. And we never needed them for the weather. As a matter of fact, modern agricultural practices and weather technologies have tons of inventions from black people. A lot of British sojourn was in search of crops and spices that they didn’t have in their land or couldn’t grow themselves. So who actually needed who? What they’re best at is rewriting history to erase the contributions of black people.

I find it very disappointing that we as black women want to hold black men in higher esteem and everyday you guys come on the internet to convince us that you think white men are better.

It is unfortunate as well that we still have black leaders who are consumed with self enrichment (much like the pro extreme-capitalist ones on this thread) that would probably act the same way our current leaders are acting. Never thinking of the common good but all focused on personal gain.

What would you have our forefathers do? You said it yourself up there - they had brute force, better technology, firepower - etc etc. In war, it is the winners who live to write the story of how they won!

Now, these guys spared our forebears lives. They could have done to us what they did to the sioux and other Red Indian tribes in North America. Would you be here today if they had done that? There are some things we should be thankful to God (not them) for. We live to fight another day in a different way.
