It is easier to finish first in our group than to qualify by being amongs the best four 2nd placed teams in the qualifiers and eventual playoffs.
finishing first depends on SA losing to Zim or losing to Rwanda…or them drawing both matches…
but entering the play off depends on super eagles winining both matches very very well

Iwobi looses the ball a lot under pressure in midfield, he cant beat a press, not a midfielder with composure, yes he as eye for final pass but can’t control a midfield, Ndidi is a box to box midfielder that is aging.

Where is the midfield control?

This is the reason we are hardly composed and loose games or draw games, we don’t control the game, we let opponents grow into the game, and like that iwobi or ndidi looses a ball in bad places, quick run to the right, they square the ball, ekong does his ekong thing, chakam we are down 1-0…

Let’s get at least one decent ball holding midfielder, I miss Mikel o, even etebo was decent.

Have you looked at the standings for all second placed teams? The team placed fourth already has 18 points. Add the 6 points we hope to get from our remaining matches, you will have 17 points. There is no road to the WC by finishing second in our group. First or we go no where.

I don't blame them, because who'll want to play with good mind for these criminals in the NFF?
As a footballer playing the world cup should be your personal goal and height of playing achievements Irrespective of how your Nation's Football Body is.
Like you said Nff has always had loopholes so why not play for personal achievements instead.

But they just play without zeal , on and off team

The probability of a professional to play at the World Cup could be less than 0.1% of footballers globally

The reason is that Iwobi isn't a cm or dm. Ndidi is as you said box to box. That combination can never work in controlling a midfield. What amazes me is we have tried this over 5 years and under different coaches and no one in the technical committee has ever thought to themselves that this doesn't work. I wonder that the technical committee members do sef

When will we realize this 4-4-2 does not work for us. We are far too imbalanced in the midfield. We don’t get the best out of our players. Ndidi and Iwobi will be overrun.

Moreover, Iwobi is not a CM in a flat midfield 4. He should be playing the 10 if he’s in our XI.

The personnel selection is very poor

His using ekong in a 4 man defence is baffling and horrible. He used him against South africa and he conceded a goal. Now he is making the same mistake. Why awaziem was not invited is a mystery. Chelle should be sacked immediately after this match even if we win. I don't care anymore. We have horrible catches

The coach ain’t gonna properly use Uche or Chukwueze
Smh
So what’s the point of inviting them
Chukwueze is our best dribbler
Especially against teams that will sit back
