I don't know where the foolish pride is coming from. The best performance I've seen from him is still that semi final match against SA. Every game since then, he has just been there for me.

Not exactly.

A 1-0 win puts us at same point with same goal difference as Benin (including same GF and GA). I think head to head then applies here and Benin wins by head to head I think

A 2-0 win puts us same point and +1 ahead of Benin and should be enough to qualify us

Of course all this is consequent on another South Africa draw or loss.
