Anybody thinks this team can beat Benin by 3-0 or something like that 😂.
2 -0 should be fine

They beat us in first leg by 1-0, so H2H is inconsequential here. Just win and you match their H2H.
They have a 2 point goal difference lead on us.

A one goal win means we still are down one point.

A two goal win will tie that GD and give us a better head to head result, as well as bettering their goals scored record.

Unless I'm very mistaken, we need to win by two clear goals.

It's 1 goal
Diavolo:
You're right. It's 2. Only if we didn't concede that goal would have been one and easy but 2 is a lot for our team that hardly score goals

Does H2H count before GD? What's the tiebreaker order?
The H2H will be identical cause we lost by just one goal.

So if we beat them 1-0. Away goals applies.
But if we beat them 2+ H2H applies.

Both breakers favour us So either way, a win is all that's needed. No matter the margin.

Yes , head to head will come into play since we will both have same goals difference.....
If we beat Benin by one goal only they will have a better goal difference than we do.

Unfortunate result. Feels like a loss.

We need to win by 3 goals on Tuesday. and hope SA plays a draw or loses.

No be na wa, na real wa undecided
Not only do we need 3 goals to topple Benin, but how many goals will we need to beat Burkina Faso to reach the playoffs? I believe the World Cup dream is over.

Is as if nobody is seeing Rwanda has nothing to play for anymore. Why would they go and die for Nigeria in South Africa, when we actually crucified ourself.
Rwanda and SA are real enemies due to the problem in DRC. Rwanda doesn't want anything good for SA.

Does H2H count BEFORE goal difference? That's the question.

As I said sometime ago, people have selective amnesia when it comes to Rorh. NGR vs Sierra leone.. 4-4 at home O! The coach that made losing to minnows a norm in Nigeria is Gernot Rohr. Till now we never recover. Our own na to qualify and not ask how we dey play. Na so so 1 game to spare we go dey hear
I tire for this rohr issue but that doesn’t take the fact that there was no calculator or tension during qualifiers then and now that same man is about to take Benin republic to World Cup we still day find beautiful sexy football lol

No any win against Benin Republic we will top them
Nope, any win gets us to equal points 17pts . We need more goals. If we can run them riot, then its a chance. but SA still stands a chance of topping. All they need is a win however slim. If however the Eritrea Clause is implemented, we may find out that the 1-1 draw against Zim is what gets us a second place.... Lets keep watching

If we beat them 1-0. That's 12:8

Where are those people who said that Benin would never beat Rwanda?

It's like you people don't know this man:

Some call him Papa Rohr, others call him Daddy Gernot Rohr, while I call him Odogwu Gernot Rohr. This man knows how to make his haters swallow their words. Under him we never had to do Permutations and Combinations to qualify. I remember when some said that the only reason he kept on qualifying us for tournaments with ease was because of our so called "Superstars" 🤣.

They chased him away and now he's about to take a team of relatively unknown players from Benin to the World Cup, while our so called Superstars are suffering and busy praying for others to lose their matches. Una no dey shame!!! 🤣

I think fifa and caf use gd before head to head.
They are +5 now, we are +3 so if we win for example 1-0. They will be +4 and we will also be +4. The goal scored and goal against will be the same. Then Disciplinary measures will be checked. From my count Benin has received 14 yellow cards we have reviewed 12.

Imagine

After every match,we keep blaming different players. If it's not Iwobi it's Ekong or someone else. The tactics is terrible. This was very evident in the last 10 mins in which even when it was obvious ndidi and Iwobi were tired,he left them and brought in defenders and we started falling back to pack the bus. Lesotho had two glorious chances. Instead of fortifying the midfield. He go dey do rubbish. That's the effect of tactics. If this man is not putting players out of position he's making wrong substitutions. Same thing against Zimbabwe shore up the midfield he brought in Boniface, then we conceded last minute. Same thing should have happened today but somehow we escaped. I hope he or someone close to him sees this pattern and he learns from it. The midfield is the engine of the team, you can't outstrikers or out defenders a terrible midfield

The question now becomes, does H2H count before GD?
Because we'd have both scored 1 goal at home, and we'd be tied on goal difference, goals scored, goals scored away from home etc

You're right. Knowing South Africa, they're not afraid to use any means possible to tilt that game in their favour. They'll likely play in that potato farm they used against us.
I won't even trust our team to get any kind of result if we were in Rwanda's shoes
Playing in Potatoes field will simply mean playing into Rwanda hands because majority of Rwanda players play in leagues with Potatoes pitches.

Yeah I've gotten this part.

And we will also be tied on goals scored.

We will be tied on head to head.

So what becomes the tie-breaker?

Modified: I've seen it. We scored more goals away from home. I was thinking we lost 1-0 when we lost 2-1

Not exactly.

A 1-0 win puts us at same point with same goal difference as Benin (including same GF and GA). I think head to head then applies here and Benin wins by head to head I think

A 2-0 win puts us same point and +1 ahead of Benin and should be enough to qualify us

Of course all this is consequent on another South Africa draw or loss.
goal difference is the first requirement, then goals scored, then lastly head to head

Nah only you check table well, even 1-0 Nigeria will qualify cos we would be on same goals scored and conceded as long as SA didn't win.
