Tables have changed. Even South Africa need us just to qualify |

Unlimited22:We scored 5 goals away from home, they scored 4. If we beat them 3-2, they jump to 6. If we beat them 2-1, we mustn't collect one more yellow card than them or we're f**ked |

AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, ONLY A 4-0 MARGIN WIN AGAINST BENIN REPUBLIC WILL PLACATE NIGERIANS, AND ALSO ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE OUR QUALIFICATION AS ZIMBABWE MANAGED TO HOLD SOUTH AFRICA TO A DRAW. |

yinkeys:If we score 2 goals, our goal difference will increase to +5, while 2 will be deducted from their +5, reducing it to +3. |

If Nigeria win 1-0 ... Goal scored will be tied on +12 ...Goal difference will also be tied on +4 ...goal conceded will be tied on 8... yinkeys: |

Regardless of all these permutations, South Africa is the team to watch, not Benin. |

Unlimited22:Actually they won't. Goal difference now: Benin: +5 Nigeria: +3 If we win 1-0.... Benin: -1 Nigeria: +1 Which means Benin: 5-1: 4 Nigeria: 3+1: 4 And like LoneCitizen said, we'll actually be ahead based on away goals, provided: WE DON'T CONCEDE. But given the defensive maestros we have in Ekong and Nwabali... |

Diavolo:It's common sense that you defend from the middle rather than bring in more defenders and attract more attacks. |

semid4lyfe:Apologies, just checked the table and crunched the numbers. A one goal win will make us top Benin Republic BUT we still need SA to lose or draw their match against Rwanda. It'd surely be a nerve racking ending to this qualifiers. |

Pidginwhisper:Have hope small. E don reach 50/50 chance now. Anything can happen at the last stretch. For nall you know we may still top the group. Anybody ask why the Nwabali last minute error didnt find its way into the net? Pay attention people. E be like say God wants us to go this world cup, even though we dont deserve it |

Pls can we surprise Gernot Rohr Nigeria will struggle if we don’t use 3-4-3 Please can they tell Chelle This 4-4-2 is a fragile formation our players are not dominant Could be a draw against benin |

TheLoneCitizen:You are correct ooo, If we beat them just 1-0. Its enough oo. Kai can we keep a clean sheet? If we beat them no matter the scoreline |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Cocony(m): 7:36pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
Goke7:Rewind back to 25years ago Sydney Olympics last game we needed a 4-0 win for clear qualification against Zimbabwe and we got 5-0. It is best we aim for 4:0 and land at 3:0 than do otherwise and the Super Eagles should play as if anything short of a 4:0 trouncing of Benin will not suffice. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mujtahida: 7:36pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
My head wants to explode. Ohh some will say it's just a win we need, some say it's h2h, some say it's Eritrea, some say we need to win 3-0, some say 2-0. Wetin, wetin ooo. Just a painful welter of confusion. |

Isahalbash:If we beat them 1-0 we top them, if its 3-2 they top us. So we need to beat them by more than 1 goal margin or just keep clean sheet |

We don't have the profile to play a flat 2 man midfield, how hard is it for our coaches to understand this... I'm glad we won, but I still have my doubts on eric chelle... hopefully when afcon comes, everything should be clearer |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Dannyxy(m): 7:37pm On Oct 10, 2025 |
Can our coach go watch some our previous games , we can’t keep giving the midfield to every team, our midfield had a tired iwobi and ndidi, none of them can beat a press, none of them can hold the ball and move, none of them can beat spaces. We can’t keep playing like this, that’s why we concede late that’s why we struggle, we need to get the midfield right, football has changed, you can keep tossing balls forward or playing to wings and keep loosing the ball. We need to start controlling the pace of games, Omoh… |

Many people are blaming d players-I did too-but what we don't know is dat 99% of d blame should go to Dat USELESS BOARD RUNNING OUR FOOTBALL-NFF. They employed a secondary school coach Chelle to coach a star studded team like Eagles whose ego has beclouded their reasoning, that theirs is to play and what is d result? A nerve recking match. Employ coach in d pedigree and category of Ancelloti, Maurinho, Van-gaal and many others and see these lily-liver eagles becoming world beaters but what do we have, a moribund people parading as administrators SE has never been so bad |

CapitalCee:Any win with clean sheet, we top them If SA also drop points, it means the god of football is from Uromi, Aviele, Auchi or Ekpoma. |
