How can we have a team with the hottest strikers in Africa yet we can't score goals.

Make Chelle go siddon jare. His tactics are poor!

We scored 5 goals away from home, they scored 4.

If we beat them 3-2, they jump to 6. If we beat them 2-1, we mustn't collect one more yellow card than them or we're f**ked
Lookman silly yellow card will hunt us .. Nwabili also collected against Rwanda . Two silly cards

Famocious:
If we score 2 goals, our goal difference will increase to +5, while 2 will be deducted from their +5, reducing it to +3.
Simple.

2:0 or any 2 goal margin against Benin will take us over them but we will need Rwanda to draw SA

Cocony:
Rewind back to 25years ago Sydney Olympics last game we needed a 4-0 win for clear qualification against Zimbabwe and we got 5-0.

It is best we aim for 4:0 and land at 3:0 than do otherwise and the Super Eagles should play as if anything short of a 4:0 trouncing of Benin will not suffice.
Not this team pls stop this joke

Your points still stands oo but its “Away Goals Scored: The team that has scored more away goals in matches between the tied teams is ranked higher”. So its away goals between us. We scored 1 away goals against them, so if we keep clean sheet against them and win we go above them. If they score 2 they go above us. Its very very tight

Nwabali this time?

At least his body will get warm now

What did Ekong do wrong in this match? We just like to pile on soft targets. Was he responsible for the goal that was scored?
Apart from the fact that he played rubbish in this match and was probably our worst defender in a defence that had a literal kid in it, if we end up not qualifying, it's his fault for conceding that equalizer to Zimbabwe.

I get that the team is bad in general but it's his job as a captain to be one of the better players, not the one sabotaging the team. Let's not talk about his careless own goal vs South Africa.

Any win with clean sheet, we top them

If SA also drop points, it means the god of football is from Uromi, Aviele, Auchi or Ekpoma.
And Rwanda is not playing for anything, they can just decide to play defensive game through out and hold them like the way Zimbabwe did

In his head, he thinks playing with two strikers means double the goal return.

He doesn't see that what we need is width.

Draw defenders out wide in a 4-3-3 or at worst? 3-4-3

Throwing away a hot Moses Simon, who could have played on the right to accomodate a two-man forward line.

Even Osimhen has always struggled whenever he pairs upfront with Icardi, and Galatasaray are a chance-creation machine.
Not to talk of Nigeria.

That Zimbabwe match sef is the killer, Imagine we won that match.

Even in this Match, he was very suspect and poor. A better team woould have punished us. Him and Nwabali are just trojan horses

I'm always shaking when he's with the ball. One time his confidence was inspiring but it made him lax and now he's a disaster happening incrementally.

This ain't a joke. History might repeat itself as per statistics.
Similar scenario played itself out on the last 2 qualifiers enroute KOREA/JAPAN 2002.

DEEP DOWN INSIDE OF ME SOMETHING TELLS ME RWANDA WILL BEAT SOUTH AFRICA OR EVEN HOLD THEM TO A DRAW AS THEY ARE A BETTER UNIT THAN ZIMBABWE.
OF A TRUTH OUR BEST OPTION FOR QUALIFYING (IF RWANDA DOES AS ZIMBABWE HAS DONE) WITHOUT MUCH PERMUTATIONS IS A 2:0 MARGIN BUT YOU CANNOT GUARANTEE OUR DEFENCE DOING THE NEEDFUL HENCE OUR NEED TO SCORE 4 AND MORESO AT LEAST 3 GOALS ON THE FIRST HALF. AGAINST BENIN REPUBLIC ON TUESDAY
.

We need to score more goals if we are to go through the playoff, not only about edging Benin..

Benin Republic just need a draw in Nigeria to qualify.

Our play doesn't give confidence. Shouldn't we just allow our brothers to qualify?
They dont need a draw, if they draw and South Africa wins, by 2 goals, they are out on head to head

This same Benin Republic was defeated by Eguoavoen, they have improved , however they are beatable . The only challenge is the coach does not know that our midfield is extremely lean to dominate and win matches . A good coach would have walloped Lesotho 4 goals. Rwanda is out of the equation, hence their last match against SA is formality . Ekong has done well for the super eagles he needs to retired now . Nwabali needs serious competition he appears extremely comfortable,he almost gave Lesotho 1 point

Bro, imagine someone that watched this match asking what Ekong did wrong. Someone that gave away a corner under minimal pressure just minutes after we conceded from a corner. He's just currently enjoying captain tax now, plus he's our best pk taker.
