Diavolo:
That's because we are playing him out of position. Lookman is not a winger or creator. He's a finisher. Plays best as supporting striker, striker or inside forward. Just like putting oshimen on the wings then complaining he's not effective or the way we have been complaining about Iwobi for years
Someone that get’s it.

Iwobi in a 4-4-2 cannot work.

Let’s do a 4-3-3 or 3-5-2

the club excuse is working for him but that was his worst game for SE since he came on. He looked lost and out of telepathy with his teammates.

I don't know but I feel is south Africa fails to qualify for the world cup

Zimbabwe citizens living in south Africa won't be safe
Those south Africans are that bitter towards other Africans countries maybe na because of how I see how bitter they're towards Nigeria

I expect a xenophobic fight between south Africans and Zimbabwe people living in southy

I think it’s a blessing in disguise that lookman is suspended for the next game. Honestly lookman too selfish and has been terrible for the national team in last couple of games . Nigeria can win without lookman
Maybe otondo Chelle will finally agree to play Iwobi as LM/LW while Moses takes RW and Chuks tuck behind CFs with Ndidi and Onyeka behind him

You're forgetting that Rohr knows this team inside out and he will want to prove a point to the NFF.
Knowledge that didn't avert 3-0 pipe

Or make Ajayi yo nod the ball as back pass to an onrushing keeper already....

If you watch, I suspected he shouted "Allow Allow" before the towering defender dodge the ball.

Shey you don see am.

I tell una say Rwanda go lose to Benin. Na RSA match shock me. How they manage to miss all their chances. Three targets on the bar!!

I expected RSA, Benin and Naija to win.
Honestly football is somehow. But that does not mean that Rwanda is bad oo, I think they went out to win the game, Benin hit them on a counter. Lets hope they (Rwanda) remedy that against RSA and play and win for pride

Regardless of all these permutations, South Africa is the team to watch, not Benin.
I keep making this point. The game SA vs Rwanda is the key match. Please Paul Kagame charge your boys to fight to the death for the pride of your great nation Rwanda, by beating SouthAfrica handsomely.

Benin will beat the S.E

with what the S.E played against Lesotho.. All Benin need is to do like Thomas Partey and shoot from outside the box and on target and they will score...

S.E needs penalty to beat Lesotho is very shameful..

Benin will not miss the chances Lesotho missed against the S.E.
you think we will play the same way with Benin in Uyo??

The Benin republics Thomas Partey(s) forgot where the post was when South Africa beat them at their own home... Lol..

It's funny that South Africa that previously would give anything for us to lose will now be praying for us to win grin

May the Spirit that fell on Zimbabwe today to frustrate SA to a draw, fall on the Rwandan NT and their entire backline especially led by Ntwari.

Come tuesday, Ntwari shall become Prime Unbeatable Buffon and SA will again drop points.

Nigeria vs Benin. Facing a man who qualified us to our last WC outing and with a chance to qualify little Benin, the squirrels to the WC like Keshi did with Togo, would be ALL OUT WORLD WAR.

Rohr will play to frustrate us but we must be ready for everything and hit them hard. The last time Rohr came here with Benin, they got bashed 3-0.

Bankygee Gbadura!!!!
What about the second spot position, if we finish second it's there any hope that we will qualify among the best second team

Odunayaw:
I don't think calling up a new face like Akor for a stacked role over Uche in a department in dire need of options is defensible. It is 6 points or nothing.

Meanwhile Seun and mods should put the notifications of numbers after the words as it was before.

I've never seen a generation of players that have given me more reasons to check my BP, heart rate and mental health than this set, even in the days of Osaze, Obagoal, Mikel Obi, Olofinjana etc when we had our several low moments; we were never this BAD. I can't for the life of me understand how Nigeria makes the easy job look so complicated, these clowns almost botched a 2 goal lead with less than 10 minutes to go against Lesotho that had nothing to play for...like how? na curse dem curse us?

Yes and No

No we are not toast YET until Tuesday, if we fail to beat Benin republic preferably by 3 goals for GD+ advantage and South Africa beat Rwanda, then its lights out for us.

Yes we're toast cause the pathway to making the playoffs which was our easier route to qualify based on the results from other groups is now closed

And tbh, it's good we invited this pressure on ourselves...the goal is simple- show that you really want to go to the world cup and write your legacies in gold by beating Benin republic and qualifying like a top team should, no ifs or buts.

And look at our games, Nigerians fullbacks especially from the left do not cut out crosses, we allow wingers have a field day, 9/10 opposing wingers drive into the box, cross or get corners successfully, especially from from the left part of the field.
