Listen to yourself or you love dishonesty more than truth.

You said something is not a miracle, I said it is. Yet, you couldn't bring multiple occurrences of it to prove it's not a miracle. The fact that you have only obe documented adult case of a nail turning in an adult, and not even doing 360 degrees like the one we have in this one year old baby is enough to expose your dishonesty.

If I'll prove to you that your case is not special, then, I'll give you multiple cases that are similar. Only a dishonest person would respond to such assertion with "special ko, medal ni.' It's the height of dishonesty to say the list. Whatever is not common is special. Prove that it's not special by showing us how common it is. Period!

Leave the talk talk. Show us how common it is!
Kindly quote where I claimed it is common.

You've grown really emotional. It's the sign of unease within your soul.

But how does your mockery count? Valueless.
The one who is emotional here is you. You are jumping from pillar to post losing your mind over this. LoLz.

Tell me the pillar and post I jumped to. Did the topic change? No. I have bright several points of arguments. You've got no answer for any. My last point was for you to tell us how the common event could only help you find only one slightly similar event. There should be multiple similar events if that event is common. Is that another pillar or another post?

What do you mean by 'it is not special'? I drew inferences from that your statement. An event that is not special is common. So, prove to us that it is not special by bringing us multiple such events to show commonality.

Also, note that the single event you presented is not similar scientifically speaking. You brought an event of an adult while we're examining a 1 year old. That's inscongruent. The nail orientation too was not the same. The threats were dissimilar both is nature and in severity. The only similar thing in the two events is that they both swallowed a nail. And I have not said that any mail swallowing event needs a miracle or surgery to be ejected.

LoLz. Guy I asked you to quote where I said it is common you cannot because I never did. Your attempt to put words in my mouth is beyond thoughtless.

The nail orientation in the case I cited changed visibly twice but you are losing your mind so incredibly that you are denying what you are seeing. Such a sodden pity. Bwahahahahahaha!

First you claimed I said it was simple meanwhile it was you who said it was simple. Next you jump to I said it was common yet you cannot quote where I said so. You are so discombobulated you are even denying the change in orientation of the nail in the case I cited. Man you need help to calm your nerves. LMAO.

Now, do you claim it is not simple?

This girl's nail swallowing case is not simple. Yes or no?

This girl's nail ejection case is not common. Yes or no?

Please answer in simple yes or no.

Please answer a simple yes or no to whether the nail swallowing case is simple or that the nail ejection case is common.

Mind you, Gabrielshow24 has challenged you that peristalsis does not make objects move 360°. Do you have any other natural explanation for the occurrence in the child's tummy?

You cannot say it's not a miracle by just saying it's not. You've got to prove it with natural explanations and multiple samples of similar occurrences. The multiplicity of similar cases will be enough proof to back up your dismissal of a miracle taking place.

Stop being emotional and face this issue headlong my friend.

Asked and answered.

I didn't mention peristalsis so that has nothing to do with me.

My first question to you was:

LordReed:
Do you think foreign objects in people's bodies only move or change orientation due to prayer?
Where in it do I mention miracle?

Here is my other question to you:

LordReed:
The question is how do you know it is a miracle?

Here is someone who ingested a nail and pooped it out: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8891944/

In this case the nail rotated at least twice. No prayers involved.
One which you have failed to answer.

Stop being emotional and face this issue headlong my friend.

I have answered all your questions. I never said foreign objects don't move in tummies. Read the OP. The claims was that this one only moved after prayers. This is premises on the fact that not all objects move. Many never moved. And it's significant that this one moved after prayer. Not only did it move. It made an unusual 360° rotation. Not just a movement.

I have asked you to bring a similar 360° rotation incident relating to a 1 year old or any age within such range. You didn't find one even for adults. The adult case you brogh was not a rotation. That nail had to do 360° rotation, otherwise the child would be in danger. It was that rotation alone that could resolve the issue, and it's not commonplace. This rotation happened only after prayers.

This is my position which you never addressed. Your questions were all of point because they didn't challenge my position in anyway. You're asking questions regarding assertions I never made.

Yes, it is not simple. Thanks for that confession.

Google has been your friend including AI. In this age, you can never claim you have no idea how common it is. Information is always at your fingertips. The only reason why you have no idea is because there is no replica of this child's nail rotation out there.

It is not common. That's a miracle.

No you did not even when I said say yes or no you still refused but you had the temerity to ask me to say yes or no to which I answered. See that is the difference between us, I don't have to lie or be evasive because I want to defend a fantasy. I can point to reality everytime and be certain of what I am saying unlike you who needs to twist it, lie and be evasive.

Your refusal to accept that the case cited is identical to your miracle claim is emblematic of your thoughtlessness. Keep denying reality, it's what you are good at.

How do you want me to answer a question that has no relationship with my assertion? That question is only necessary if I had said objects don't move in human bodies except through prayers. Objects movement is not what prompted me to create this thread. I have told you several times that my position is not object movement but 360° rotation. And for emphasis, a rotation that happened ONLY after prayers. For you to come and then ask me an unrelated question and me trying to explain my position to you more clearly, is standard. You can't argue with me on claims I did not make. I have answered you that objects do move. For more clarity, the basis of this thread goes like this:

1. Objects move in human bodies but no guarantee that the movements will eliminate the need for surgery.

2. Objects move but they don't rotate 360° in most cases. Your argument that the rotation happened twice is inconsequential. Whether it happened twice or a thousand times, the rotation puts the nail in a safe position in the child. This is the case. Let me make it even more clearer. The rotation putting the nail in a safe orientation in the child is NOT GUARANTEED. THE PROBABILITY OF THIS SAFE POSITION HAPPENING IS VERY SLIM. All these happened only after prayers. I am repeating myself because it seems you're not getting my points.

3. The child is a baby. One year old. The length of the nail in contrast to the size of the baby's stomach should make a rotation absolutely impossible. How did that rotation happen? The walls of that Baby's stomach are very tender. The risk of perforations is very high.

4. Is there any natural or biological process that can induce such a safe rotation? No!

5. Are there similar cases that tick all the boxes from 1 to 4 above? No!

Your refusal to accept that the case cited is identical to your miracle claim is emblematic of your thoughtlessness. Keep denying reality, it's what you are good at.
I will accept once you prove that your lone case ticks all the boxes from one to 4 above.

Do you think you can win an argument by falsely accusing your opponent of dishonesty? You've been singing this song as though it's the latest music in town.

What is dishonest in clarifying to you again and again that my position is not object movement but rotation. Please go through my initial first post on this thread. My emphasis is on rotation.

Let me ask you a question. If you claimed that a white bulb shines brighter even on low current. Is it right for anyone to come and ask you if colored bulbs shine on low current? That's an unrelated question because you never said coloured bulbs don't shine. You only said white bulbs shine brighter. This is the very case with your unrelated question.

Whether it is common or not has nothing to do with what I said you are just jumping to another thing I made no reference to.
My friend, we are considering a miracle and a miracle is a special case always. No Christian calls common occurrences miracles. If it happens commonly, then it's not a miracle. To disprove a miracle, you need to present common natural occurrences of the same case. This you obviously know. That's why you turned to the net to go.find cases to prove that such cases are common. But you were disappointed. You found one dissimilar case and brought it here as though we are arguing about mere nail ingestion. Don't you know that there are different types of nail injestions with different levels of severity? How can you compare a lame man with a man who has no legs? They have the same type of disability but obviously not the same condition of disability. Your counter-case must match 100%!

You are so discombobulated that a case where the nail rotated twice is what you say is not comparable. Dishonesty pro max.
Give us many other cases where the nail rotated once, twice or a thousand times!

How do you want me to answer a question that has no relationship with my assertion?
The same way I answered your question that had nothing to do with what I said.

Now are you you going to keep dodging or answer this question: was it you who said the case I cited was simple, yes or no.

It is very relevant to clarifying your claim.

For more clarity, the basis of this thread goes like this:

1. Objects move in human bodies but no guarantee that the movements will eliminate the need for surgery.
Nobody argued there was any guarantee. Not even you with your miracle claim can say that if you pray you can guarantee a positive result.

1st off in your miracle claim the nail did not turn 360. If it did it would return to its original position unless you don't know what turn 360 means. It turned a max of 180 which reorients it as seen by the changing position of the nail head. Even at that the case I cited makes this a moot point. Look at the xrays again. The nail head was down in the 1st set then it turns up in the 2nd set. Then down again. There is no magic you want to do to turn a nail head from a down facing position to an up facing position without making the nail go through a horizontal position. So therefore this nail 180 reorientation can happen naturally without any prayerrs.

3. The child is a baby. One year old. The length of the nail in contrast to the size of the baby's stomach should make a rotation absolutely impossible. How did that rotation happen? The walls of that Baby's stomach are very tender. The risk of perforations is very high.
This means nothing. The risk of perforations has no bearing on whether this can happen naturally or not.

4. Is there any natural or biological process that can induce such a safe rotation? No!
It can happen naturally and the case I cited shows it can.

5. Are there similar cases that tick all the boxes from 1 to 4 above? No!
The case I cited ticks every relevant box naturally without prayer.

I will accept once you prove that your lone case ticks all the boxes from one to 4 above.
I don't think you would because you want this to be a miracle by all means to the point you are denying reality.

This is a failure to understand simple English. That something can occur naturally does not equate to it being common. Have you never heard of rare diseases or illnesses? They occur naturally and are yet rare so understand simple English and stop twisting it to what I didn't say.

Yes, something can occur naturally and not be common. When that uncommon thing happens only after prayers, turn you cannot dismiss it. If a disease happens after prayers. You cannot dismiss it as mere natural occurrence. Moreso, solutions rarely happen haphazardly. They are always the result of a direct action to induce the solution. So a solution happening in rarity cannot be dismissed as a mere natural occurrence when prayers were said to make it happen.

Did you read me saying that 'solutions' are an exception? Something natural and uncommon is always hard to find. And when it's found, it's very valuable. Such as rare metals and minerals. Solutions that are not common are also not natural. I repeat AN UNCOMMON SOLUTION IS NOT A NATURAL SOLUTION. Go and find out. We are talking about a SOLUTION to a problem. A rare solution is never natural.

If THE SOLUTION is common, then, it is natural. If the solution is uncommon, it is always unnatural. There's no rare solution that is natural. Prove me wrong.. This particular solution further authenticated itself as a miracle after turning up only after prayer.

If you know that then why did you dodge my question? That's the dishonesty we are talking about.

This is the question I asked you:
Yes, foreign objects change orientation and move due to prayer. However, I don't infere that foreign objects ONLY move and change orientation due to prayer. The premise of the movement will determine why it moved.

Stop trying to twist things that are easily verifiable.
What exactly am I twisting?

Very simple question, tell us how to distinguish between a miracle and a natural occurrence that is not common.
A miracle has no natural or biological explanation. The events are not initiated by man. In most cases, they are naturally impossible situations turned possible. When they happen only after prayer, that provides an explanation.

This is just a very bad take. There are people who are naturally immune to HIV/AIDS but are very rare and had no prayers done for them, so you are so blatantly wrong.

Yes, foreign objects change orientation and move due to prayer. However, I don't infere that foreign objects ONLY move and change orientation due to prayer. The premise of the movement will determine why it moved.

You twisted my question into something else. Compare your statement:

No. This wasn't the question you asked me. You asked me if objects don't move naturally.

to my question:

Do you think foreign objects in people's bodies only move or change orientation due to prayer?

How can you claim I was wrong when you so blatantly changed my question? This is dishonesty in full display and instead of acknowledging that you got it wrong you're still trying to double down.

BTW I don't care what you inferred, I asked you a simple yes or no question so you can make it clear, but you chose to go on this dodging spree.

A miracle has no natural or biological explanation. The events are not initiated by man. In most cases, they are naturally impossible situations turned possible. When they happen only after prayer, that provides an explanation.
When we didn't know that the explanation for children dying early was sickle cell disease, were we correct in attributing it to Abiku spirits? No, we weren't, our ignorance then doesn't mean there wasn't a natural explanation. You are just being ignorant in saying when something has no natural or biological explanation then it is a miracle. That is pure ignorance.

LordReed:
This is just a very bad take. There are people who are naturally immune to HIV/AIDS but are very rare and had no prayers done for them, so you are so blatantly wrong.
My friend, those people are in a state. A natural occurrence. Their states is not a solution. I emphasized that SOLUTIONS that are rare are rarely natural. These HIV-immune people are not SOLUTIONS.

My answer applies to both scenarios. I.mighy have wrongly paraphrased your question but I stll answered it. Both questions are in the same category and you cannot expect me to remember it verbatim when I quoted it off hand.

The summarized answer to your question stop.remains that objects change move without prayers and could even change orientations but that does not mean prayers cannot cannot shift objects when they're not shifting naturally. That also does not mean that all movements and orientations are natural. God or doctors could move them in.the bodies.

If nature does not move them, and doctors also didn't, and you.cry to God and then they start movimg in ways they cannot be naturally explained, then who moved them? God of course.

My friend, the abiku issue was rampant. It was not a rare occurences.

You just love quoting me in part. That's not good. A miracle has a mark of rarity, unnatural explanation due to established notions of impossibility. It is humanly impossible to be solved or resolved. The sicke cell situation does not fall into this category. A miracle is a special act of God or of spiritual forces.

For example, a friend of mine visited Mount Tabera along Lagos Ibadan Express Way years ago. He told me that there's a bottle he saw on her place that had a large size orange inside it. The bottle has a narrow opening, so he could not imagine how the orange entered that bottle. I have not gone to verify this myself but that's a typical impossible situation that has no natural explanation of his testimony is true (and he's not someone who.lies, neither has he any reason to tell me this since we were not even discussing anything related to it at the time). He told me about this in 1999. Such is a rare occurence of found to be true. That is something with a spiritual edge. No.natural explanation. No room for the lack of knowledge escuses. There's no knowledge that can explain how I large orange can enter a glass bottle that has a narrow opening. The sickle cell scenario does not fall in this category.

Man, your ignorance is outstanding. You mean you cannot think of any way someone can get an orange inside a bottle without magic? Do you even know how bottles are made? Have you never seen the egg in the bottle science experiment? No wonder you think your personal incredulity is evidence that something is a miracle. OMFD!

Please go and read what I said. I emphasized SOLUTIONS. Solutions. There is no shift whatsoever I said solutions that are rare are never natural. My posts are still all here on Nairaland. Why are you doing like this?

When you can easily go back and check what I wrote? Just stop being dishonest, it's quite easy.
You're the one who is dishonest. I'll say something, you'll say something else, yet I never accuse you. I only clarify myself further. It has happened several times. What's so special about what you've said that I'll need to go check again? What happens to clarification if you think i.misedd something? Do I have that time?

You have misrepresented my words several times. That is the peak of dishonesty. Yet, no single accusation from me. That's because I don't have satan's seed in me. Satan is called the Accuser for a reason.

Which is why you need to tell us how to distinguish between the one that happened naturally and the one that you claim your god did.
I have told you about the Mark of impossibility and rarity. I have also told you about the premise for an occurrence. What else do you want to hear? If it's rare, has a mark of impossibility, has a premise of prayer, then who did it?

Hey, you're the ignorant who thinks others are. Please tell us how to get an orange into a narrow mouthed bottle naturally when you're not the producer of the bottle. And for your information, I need to repeat that the bottle is made of glass, not plastic. I already said that, I knew you would miss it.

Perhaps your natural means is to grow the orange into the bottle while it's young. You don't understand. This is a bottle that has been there for many years with the orange inside it according to information. You can still visit the place today to verify. I have not done that.

This is reaching. Foreign objects do not rotate by 180° due to peristalsis 🤔.
I asked a medical doctor, and he said your claim isn't accurate.

According to him, the GI tract is a soft mobile and constantly churning tube, and that there are documented cases of objects like nails or pins rotating or shifting from a dangerous transverse position to a safer longitudinal one to pass through without injury.

And I was able to confirm his explanation was accurate.

@DrAda, your attention is needed please.

Chai! May God give you understanding. I don't know why you like taking a part of what I say without looking at the whole discourse. How many times would I call your attention to these lapses?

So, the only thing you heard me say is that Solutions that are rare are miraculous but you did not remember again that I have defined a miracle for you as something that has no natural explanation, has a mark of rarity, and also has a mark of impossibility with no natural explanation. It is also determined by its premise.

Is this spontaneous remission a SOLUTION? No, it's not a solution but the result of a number of solutions such as Immune System Activation, Hormonal Changes, Reduction in Oxygen Levels, and Genetic Variability to name a few. These are the SOLUTIONS that result in the spontaneous remission of cancer. The real SOLUTIONS are not rare occurences. The spontaneous remission has natural explanations and has no mark of impossibility.

For instance, immune system activation through the body's response system or an internal stimulus such as fever can make the body fight the cancerous cells. This is very explainable biologically. So, what's miraculous about that? These solutions are not rare.

And, even if you think spontaneous remission of cancer is a solution itself which it is not, it has natural explanations. How can something rare but naturally explainable be a miracle?

If mere rarity of a solution alone defined a miracle, then you don't even need to go to science or biology for your objection. There are many rare solutions around us but they do not carry the mark of impossibility, and they do have natural explanations. Their premises are also natural. We are talking of events that have no natural premises. No natural explanation. They carry a mark of impossibility.

The x-rays of the sizable nail and its subsequent elimination in the belly of a 1 year old ticks all these boxes. Spontaneous remission of cancer does not.

MAO! Do you have time? You have time to be arguing inanities for many days but you don't have time to glance at a post in the same thread. Your dishonesty is getting beyond words.
Who on earth told you that everyone who has time set aside to respond to posts and mentions also has time to rummage through Nairaland to find something that was not lost? Only jobless people hang around on social media without time allotment.

Do I need to go any far? Even right now, you have done it again. You'll quote me in part and re-present my whole ideology on that one part. All in a bid to win an argument. I have already addressed you on this up there.

My respectful mention of your posts may not make it so glaring. If I too start using words such as 'you are confused', with a shout of LMAO and Bwahahahaha, maybe your lapses would have been more obvious to you. But, I'm above such levels.

What you told me is your personal incredulity is evidence of a miracle and I say that is not how reality works. Because you don't know how something works doesn't make it a doing of your god especially when said thing can occur naturally.
There were caveats to it. Everyone knows when something is absolutely impossible. And when the impossible becomes possible, we know it's not natural. Especialy when it happens after we prayed.

I think I have shared this before. The year was 2014, I wouldn't want to go into details so as not to wear you out. But, there was this lady that passes by us always backing a 4 year old child.

One day, my wife asked her to allow the child walk. "Why back him everyday?". It was then the lady opened the boy's concealed right leg. The mother covers the leg with the clothes she uses to back him. The leg was extra large - elephantiasis. The woman said she has taken him for surgery twice but the ailment returns after each surgery. She was to take him for the third surgery but she didn't have the required 100k as at then. My wife asked her not to worry. "My husband is a man of God. Let him see the child's leg." The lady came to meet me on a Monday morning and I prayed for both mother and child. On Wednesday morning, I saw the woman in my house. "Daddy, thanks so much for the other day sir. See his leg." She wore a brighter countenance this very day. I can still visualize the joy on her face.

The swollen leg had begun to shrink. Drastically reduced in size. Though not yet at par with the other leg at the time, but the size reduction was very obvious. No surgery. Only my prayers. "You spirit of infirmity, I terminate your operations in this leg, and cast you out. You leg, hear the Word of the Lord, take on your normal size, and from now on begin to heal in Jesus name! You Elephantiasis, be gone!" Then, I repeated"Be gone, be gone, be gone in Jesus name!". That was it. The result was a shrunk leg.

A month later, I saw the boy playing around with his mates. Something he couldn't do before. I give all Glory to Jesus. That's what we call a miracle. It happened after prayers. It was an impossible situation without surgery. It had a mark of rarity. No natural explanation.

Bwahahahahahaha! Is this goomba trying to tell me he doesn't know glass bottles are made and not naturally occurring?
I don't know where you got that ideology from? Please what exactly did I say that gave you this obnoxious conclusion? It seems you never even understand anything I write. All is well in Jesus name.

I wonder at you o. So, the Tabera people made the glass bottle and arranged the orange inside it according to your superlative brains. Hahahaha! Kudos to you. You are very intelligent.

Ha! I even thought he'll come up with scientific methods such as attaching the bottle to a tree with a flowering orange inside it, then, allowing the orange to grow and ripen inside the bottle. I didn't know it's such level of low thinking he expects me to descend to.

I can give you a few scientific ways to make that happen actually but those Tabera people were stark illiterates. I don't know if they still are. They know absolutely nothing. You can visit the place. Mount Tabera. Along Lagos Ibadan Express Way.

It's hilarious that you even expect them to be bottle manufcturers. Or you thought they know how to contract bottles out to manufacturers in 1999. Did they even have the money?

Your superlative brains didn't tell you that the orange should rot after staying in the bottle for many years? Was it the manufacturer that preserved the orange too? Or do you even think that the orange in the bottle thing was the only weird phenomenon in the place? Lol. Why are you thinking so narrowly?
