So a man allegedly has started selling off some of his properties to enjoy his life while he still breathes after his children started neglecting him, focusing on their mother instead.

Honestly, the father is right. He worked for his money. He has given the children the best legacy which is education and proper training to stand on their own. Papa, enjoy the fruits of your labour. Mama is already enjoying the fruits of her labour. Children should also labour and leave the papa’s property if they can’t return the benevolence the responsible father gave them in their developmental years. |

He is free to do whatever he wants with his properties If truly truly you say the children abroad are doing well then while still having it at the back of their mind that they will want to rely on their fathers properties |

Yes, the papa do okay — but with small overreaction. He get every right to enjoy his sweat, especially when the children forget am. But he for still use wisdom to handle am small instead of anger, so e no scatter family completely. |

The father sounds like a GENTLEMAN. Otherwise, the UNGRATEFUL brats would not have had access to him. He would NOT pick their calls to listen to them beeaatch and moan about selling his OWN properties. Obviously, I DON'T expect them to invite their father to come for Omugwo. But there's NOTHING stopping them from inviting him to come ALONG with their mother. Since a man with properties worth #500M can clearly SPONSOR his own plane tickets. Lots of children OVERLOOK their father. Especially if their father is rich. And it seems this man's children did it in EXCESS. The gap between the gifts they give their mother compared to the ones they give their father is TOO WIDE. You buy a car for your mother and get your father an ORDINARY wristwatch. That's WICKED! Let the Baba sell his properties and buy himself a CAR since nobody is gonna do it for him. Men are NEVER appreciated as much as they deserve. Despite the fact that this man CLEARLY contributed massively to the success of his kids, they are now trying to VILIFY him because they think they are ENTITLED to his properties. They've SUDDENLY forgotten everything he DID for them because they think he's NOT going to give them what they deserve in the FUTURE. Our society has tied the value of a man to his consistent UTILITY in PERPETUITY. A man is NEVER free from OBLIGATIONS! This man has 3 SUCCESSFUL kids living abroad and they still think he has an OBLIGATION to bequeath them with properties. MEN must learn to take care of themselves 'cause NOBODY else will. |

He is wrong and over reacting. Is he not the same person who always said "why are you giving me this? Can I not buy it? Don't worry." Or is it that he needed something and the children did not give him? He should go and sit down in one place. |

Uptownerd:There are so many questions to be answered here before one can give reasonable answers. ✓ The man claims he sold his property worth about Naira 500 million to spend on himself. Did his wife equally have financial gains from the marriage, or was she financially abused by the man during the course of the marriage? 🤔 ✓ The man seems to claim responsibility for the success of his children without going into details as to how he, in fact, contributed to their successes. Why? 🤔 ✓ Why do the man's children not consider him worth spending or taking care of? That is a big question that needs to be answered. We read from the OP the man's side, but what of the children's side of the story? They know best why they would rather buy for their mother than their dad, so their input is necessary in this. 🥱🥱 |
