2 goals are enough to see us qualifying if SA fail to beat Rwanda, but a 3 goals cushion is our best outcome due to GD+
2 goals is a guarantee.
Benin is presently on 12:7
Nigeria is currently on 11:8

If we win by 2 goals, Nigeria will be on 13:8
While Benin will be on 12:9

Meaning ours would become +5, while Benin would become +3.

But the question here is even though we can win Benin, can the SE do it by more than a goal? Mostly if we fail to score atleast a goal in the first half.

SA will be playing at home and let's also pray Rwanda hold them same way Zimbabwe did.

Finally, if God answers our prayers, Na these same players, coach and NFF we wan take play the WC, when even smaller European, Asians and S/American countries are now playing like robots? 😂

The group stands as

Benin, 17 points, +5 GD
South Africa, 15 points +3 GD
Nigeria, 14 points +3 GD

Benin vs Nigeria ended 2 - 1 in Ivory Coast.

A 1 - 0 scoreline for us in Uyo pegs Benin GD to +4, and increases ours to +4 as well., and will see us go through provided SA doesn't win against Rwanda.

The tie between Nigeria and Benin will then be decided based on away goals scored in the matches between both teams. Nigeria scored 1 goal away, and Benin did not score any at Uyo so we go through.

In case of a 2 - 1 victory, Nigeria & Benin will be tied on GD and goals scored away, and the disciplinary record of the two teams (team with less cards) will then be used as the tie breaker to decide the group topper, and qualifying team

Currently Benin republic has amassed 11 yellow cards, 0 red card.

Nigeria has 13 yellow cards, 0 red cards.

So we have to win by a 2 goals margin or 1 nil on Tuesday, and also ensure Benin accumulates more cards while we don't get any bookings.

Of course. our victory will be moot and useless if S/Africa defeats Rwanda on Tuesday. So, its still advantage SA because whats the probability of lightning striking twice in the same place?

By 6.45pm on Tuesday, we go know if we dey go world cup or not.
Benin has 14 yellow cards

Rwanda don't have anything to play for again. I won't be surprised if South Africa beats them 4:1 or 5:0. Zimbabwe only gave South Africa a tough test because it was a derby. I may be wrong but I feel South Africa will find Rwanda easier to beat than Zimbabwe.
But na so una too talk against Zimbabwe that
-they have nothing to play for,
-that they are neighbours,
-They used SouthAfrica as home
- they have kept a clean sheet before
- they are last in the group, yada yada.

This is football bro, Rwanda can even beat SA

I praised Jpes for his Afcon performance and I wanted him to stay but Chelle has not done badly given the circumstances in which we found ourselves in these qualifiers. Imagine, we have 14 points. Chelle alone gave us a whopping 11 out of that measly 14 points. He should be commended. Like BankyGee said, we only have this slim hope because of him.

MetalJigsaw, you don smoke gbana if you don't see that Chelle has done well getting us this far.
Make una dey deceive una self. Other teams dey flog minnows u dey here dey defend mediocrity. Rubbish

I no kuku blame u, as sufferness don master una body for this country

Even some top clubs no get the caliber of players wey we get, u dey here day defend coach wey dey struggle to score one goal against Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Rwanda, Benin. Shame no catch u?

How can you have two African Best footballer winners and be struggling to score one goal against minnows😆 That is a criminal offense nah😁

So it is Peseiro kind of hope that started us on this path we should be talking about? That is the mentality we need for the evolution of our football? We will sack him now and 4 years later we will start crying that we sacked the coach that never lost a game and he's doing great with another team. He literally had the courage to take the job when most other coaches were running away and wouldn't touch us to maintain their reputation, and he's not lost a game. This just sounds like deliberate bias. Because we're in a tight spot now, we glamorize where we're coming from. Like the children of Isreal.
Notice how you had to point at another grade D coach just to defend that flop .

Our recent last 3 qualifying gmes now he didnt do much.. he became selfish and poor at decision making he tries to dribble and shoot then kicks it aagainst the oppsition. Even currently in his club they now prefer Ghanian suliemana.

Go to twitter people are happy that he got a second yellow which sidelines him on next match and he is not going to be missed. Everyone cant be wrong at the same time, Unlike before if lookman has injury scare evryone will be worried.

They have the Best chance to get the 4th play off ticket with a win over Ethiopia. If they beat Ethiopia by 2-0 we must beat Benin by 4-0 and overtake them on goal difference as we will end on same points for play off. This is because we cannot be absolute about Rwanda beating South Africa or holding South Africa to a draw.
Also Madagascar are not likely to beat Mali in Mali neither is Uganda likely to beat Algeria in Algeria in the last group games for the playoffs slot.
Thanks for this analysis. The boys have their work cut out for them. Victory by goal margin of 3 or more.

FT Mexico 0-2 Argentina

Mexico 2 red cards thanks to Argentine bench VAR requests. Lol. The Argies coach got really petty despite his team starting the dirty plays thru #17 Silvetti (scorer of their 2nd goal).

Anyway, Argentina vs Colombia Semifinal is locked in. A repeat of their South American U20 Championship battles.

It is only in your imagination Suliemani is preferred ahead of Lookman.

Lookman started the last two matches Atalanta played. Stop lying up and down here.

Who gave Osimhen most of the passes against Lesotho? Ghost!!!

Besides, that performance is based on the coach instruction and not form, Mr man.

As you can see he always cross or gives long passes against Lesotho.

The point is there is agenda or most criticizing him don't understand football tactics used by Chelle. EOD.

See and tell me Lookman was benched for the Ghanian.

Don't tell me about the matches before then that we know he didn't play because he had issue with the club. Stop lying here, Mr man.
