This is catholic not Anglican
It was obviously stated that it’s an Anglican Church yet you still confidently typed this is catholic not Anglican. I’m gobsmacked.

And so?

It looks like Holy Cross Cathedral of the Catholic Church in the same Lagos Island .
I did my baptism in Holy Cross.

It used to be the seat of the Primacy until it moved to Abuja.

Former Heads of the church, Olufusoye & Adetiloye sat there.
The current seat in Gwarimpa seems like a matchbox compared to this beautiful Gothic edifice. Even the church building in my village is like Chairman. Fmr Primate Akinola was so much in a hurry to finish it off before his consecration as Primate in 1999 and compromised on aesthetics that Anglican cathedrals are known for.

This is the reason behind the design of most Anglican Church building.....they all tends to have this pattern.

Rather than tell slave owners to not own slaves he told slaves to obey their owners in all things
The question is whether he owned slaves?

I remember when PBAT renovated this building during his tenure as Governor even when PBAT is a Muslim.

The church almost collapsed but PBAT intervened and reconstructed the church.

I'm glad the building still has an awesome look.

God bless PBAT

This is scripture in the full context.

5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.

Ephesians 6:5-7

He did not marry but said wife should submit to husband and husband love their wife ... doesn't that translate to endorsement of marriage even though he died single?

Admit that Jesus just like Mohammad is a slave enabler and lovers, both will have been the easiest people to put end to slavery but those cowards didn't rather they encouraged slave owners to expect nothing but obedience from their human slaves

Hope it wasn't involved in Trans-atlantic slave trade? People should know their history!

The Anglican church has a complex history with the slave trade, including direct involvement through investments and plantations like Codrington College in Barbados, and ideological support for slavery. It also had members who opposed it and worked towards abolition. In recent years, the Church of England has apologized for its historical links and has pledged significant funding to address the legacy of slavery through investments and research. Goodlady
Jews dominated the Slave trade.

Go and verify.

The slave trade was dominated by Judeo-Masons and not Christians.

It was Christians who were behind the abolition movement. Not one single Tukum Olam Jew was part of abolition because Jews dominated the entire slave trade alongside the American Puritans.

Jews owned most of the slave ships, and all auction houses were owned a operated by Jews. 79% of all plantations in the US were owned by Jews. Virtually all of the slave plantations in South America were Jewish owned. Apart from Haiti, which was owned by French and French Jews, every other Caribbean country that was founded on slavery, had Jews running the plantations.

So if today the British or even Fulani decide to capture all of us as slaves all we have to do is obey God by obeying our new slaves master in all things?
How is that fair to the slaves when your God is siding with the oppressors, he claimed to create human in his own image but yet considered some as only worthy of been mere slaves
That your god seems even worse than the devil and definitely don't know what is good or bad, he's just blindly following whatever is trending wether it's slavery or whatever bad things so far it's generally accepted at that time

I'm sure if Jesus was born today he will claim slavery is bad not because he's any smart but because he simply aligns with whatever is trendy and woke
