Cocony:You see why i was clamouring to stuff Lesotho with plenty goals. As it stands now, we beed to bid the play offs good bye |

Dannyxy:Even if we had won 2-0 against Lesotho and Nwabali didn't display his moments of madness, today's result for Burkina faso would have canceled our result based on goal difference...a 3-0 win would have given us a safer cushion, and we had our chances to win that game at least 4-0. |

How likely is it that Cameroon beats Angola? |

Ppogbae:Cameroon can be notorious bottlers sometimes, so this one can go either way. Although to me this Angola side are not looking as impressive as they were in the last AFCON |

CapitalCee: NOT AT ALL. OUR WORK IS CLEARLY DEFINED AND HIGHLY POSSIBLE. DEFEAT BENIN REPUBLIC BY A 4GOALS MARGIN AND QUALIFY FOR PLAYOFF SPOT WITHOUT RESORTING TO ANY TIE BREAKERS. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by mank1234(m): 10:10pm On Oct 12, 2025 |
Cocony:Lolz. Benin would be sleeping abi? We have just one route now - which is direct qualification. Except Cameroon loose or CDR draws/loose. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by solonnachi: 10:10pm On Oct 12, 2025 |
The only thing we should pray for now is for DR Congo to lose or draw Sudan at home. If we can beat Benin 1-0, we will be into the playoffs. |

mank1234:WE HAVE TWO ROUTES: THE MORE LIKELIER BEEN THE LESS FANCIED WHICH IS THE PLAYOFF ROUTE. THE DIRECT ROUTE MAKES US COMPLACENT AND HOPING ON RWANDA WHICH MIGHT FAIL. BEAT BENIN REPUBLIC BY A 4GOALS MARGIN AND OVERTAKE BURKINA FASO. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by mank1234(m): 10:12pm On Oct 12, 2025 |
QueenJazz:Cameroon needs just a draw to make playoff. I don't see Angola beating them in Cameroon. |

Nwabali and Ekong Una do this one. Chai... |

CapitalCee:ekong with the own goal and zimbabwe error, awoniyi and boniface twin tragedy losing chances in our first matches, ndidi with his covenant with never scoring. Point is, this is a team work. Lets not apportion blames to one person alone, it should go round. Uzoho might be blamed for that but you remember osimhen was also doing bicycle in that game when we needed just one more goal. Lets prepare for the friendlies in november as the only way we can go further is only through the direct route. I have accepted the fact that we wont go. Would occupy myself with movies to watch by the time of the match and come and watch basco's highlights after we bash the team or praise the team, whatever the outcome is. We just hope for a better outing in our WCQ starting from 2027. |

We like giving accolades to mediocrity in this country. Tell me when last we took advantage of all these mediocre teams. Now Burkina Faso is 3-1 up against Ethiopia. Tell me how we're gonna scale through? Maduka didn't commit quarter of blunders committed by Nwabali before he was dragged all over the internet. Now look at what Nwabali has costs us, yet some folks will still be defending him. Chelle is a good coach. No one should blame him should we fail to make it to the World Cup. Ever watched Ghana play? Even if they lost, they usually play the round leather with passion and hunger. But our boys will be strolling on the pitch. No pressing, and Zero ball position. I love the Super Eagles. But of what use are they in the world stage when they're struggling against Africa minnows? |

Cocony:If you think we will beat Benin by a 4 goals margin then you must be a joker. And i am one of the biggest Optimists you can find. We had our opportunity to sxore more goals against Rwanda and Lesotho. But we couldnt. The one we scored Nwabali used his brainfart to reduce it. At thos point, I give up. |

Only playoff spots left are down to how the Cameroon and DRC games go, Gabon is home and dry in the playoffs already based on superior GD+... as it stands now, we have to win by any scoreline not less than 2 goals and hope and pray South African draw or lose against Rwanda...our hopes for a playoff odd were 80% dashed today by Burkina Faso |

He be like say our chance for playoff don slim o. How many goals do we need to score to displace Burkina Faso for that 4th position. |

Congo and Cameroon will go for broke. It is what it is. This is where visionless planning and poor leadership gets you. From AFCON runners up to this. |

victornoah:You see that guy called Stanley Nwabali . The guy don do us strong thing. Like i mention earlier, if I am the super Eagles coach, the first person I will kick out of the team is Nwabali. I hate that guy with passion. His mentality and attitude is bottom base. I wonder how he is eveb a professional footballer. We seriosly need tp look for another GK if we want to do anything reasonable in any competition |

Ppogbae:Private individual forsaw this Play offs loophole, but our technicall team at NFF were not even aware. If you watch the Burkina match, you coould see that they have read the table and understood that they needed goals. But our own we were just jonsing against Rwanda and Lesotho. People wey we suppose thump at least 3-0 each. Same thing happened with the double yellow card issue, the team technical crew were not even aware, until private individual fans noticed it. Honestly if we want pur football to move forward, we need to protest in the NFF office and chase away all those guys at NFF they have killed Nigeriam football completely |

Meanwhile I really dislike the attitude of Nigerian players, I have only seen strong mentality and passion from osimhen, they play games like it’s just one of those games. You need to see falcons play, the passion, the fight and strong mentality. Ekong Ndidi Iwobi Moses Chukwueze are the worst culprits of this, they lack any passion most times, no fight no grits, like they play so casually like they can’t wait to go to their clubs, very poor national team mentality. I would rather ndidi seat out this game, ekong too.. If they don’t want to come play they should reject call ups, you play like 6 times a year for your national team except there is a competition yet they are so casual about games. |

CapitalCee:hahaha calm down with the vitriolic and resentful comments. Remember y’all loved him at the last Afcon. The guy been goofing around lately but he needs a psychologist and a serious contender for the position. Since the legendary Vincent Enyeama retired we don’t have a solid number 1 yet. May God of soccer ⚽️ favor Nigeria |

Amedino99:I agree about the earlier mistake. But peoppe with the mentality and attitude of Nwabali should be no where the national team. The guys behaviour irritates me. In a crucial match were you barely made any save, you decided to mess us up. At the time we conceded that goal we were cruising and was even going for the 3rd goal. Boom! he came up with his unprofessional behavioue. I do not agree with you about not aportioning blames, there shiuld be consequences for him for such behaviour including the one against Rwanda where he was determined to be sent off |
