“My Opay Debt is Clear!” — Man Receives Help Clearing ₦345k Loan During Hallelujah Challenge

Faith met favor for one young Nigerian man who joined Pastor Nathaniel Bassey’s Hallelujah Challenge, as his heartfelt declaration of faith led to an astonishing miracle — the clearing of his ₦345,000 Opay debt within 24 hours.

The emotional testimony has gone viral on social media, stirring waves of inspiration and faith among Nigerians participating in the ongoing worship and prayer movement. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
How It Started: A Cry for Help Turned into a Miracle

The man, identified as @omolebolajimicheal on TikTok, joined thousands of believers across the world for the Hallelujah Challenge, a live midnight worship and prayer session led by Pastor Nathaniel Bassey.

On the third day of the programme, Omole decided to put his faith to the test. During the prayer session, participants were encouraged to make bold declarations of faith — writing down what they believed God would do for them.

Without hesitation, Omole wrote a powerful statement on his screen:

“My Opay debt is clear by fire.”

The declaration quickly caught the attention of fellow worshippers and spread across social media platforms, especially on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), as many found his act of faith both bold and relatable.

The Miracle: “Debt Cleared Within 24 Hours”

In a follow-up video shared by @amebogistlover on TikTok, Omole joyfully shared that his prayer had been answered within just a few hours.

According to him, he received an unexpected call from someone who had seen his viral post and decided to pay off his entire ₦345,000 Opay debt. The good Samaritan reportedly said they were touched by his faith and wanted to be part of his testimony.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Omole testified:

"I just believed God could do it. I wrote ‘My Opay debt is clear by fire,’ and before 24 hours, someone reached out and cleared everything. I am still in shock.”

The video of his testimony has since garnered thousands of views, likes, and comments from people who described it as a sign of divine intervention and an encouragement to keep believing in the power of prayer.
What Is the Hallelujah Challenge?

The Hallelujah Challenge, initiated by Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, is a 30-day midnight prayer and praise movement that began as an online revival several years ago. It invites believers from all over the world to worship God collectively on social media platforms — especially Instagram and YouTube.

Each session typically runs from 12 a.m. to 1 a.m., featuring live worship, thanksgiving, and testimonies of miraculous breakthroughs.

This year’s edition has once again captured massive attention, with millions tuning in nightly to sing, pray, and share their stories of divine intervention — from healed illnesses to financial turnarounds.

Nigerians React: “Faith Still Works”

Following Omole’s viral testimony, social media has been buzzing with reactions from inspired users who said his story renewed their faith in God’s power.

One commenter wrote:

“This is why you should never joke with faith. When God moves, He shocks people.”

Another added:

“Hallelujah Challenge is not just a trend; it’s a movement of grace. This is living proof.”

Some users also expressed hope that their own “written declarations” during the prayer challenge would yield similar miracles, with many now sharing screenshots of their personal faith notes.
Pastor Nathaniel Bassey Reacts

While Pastor Nathaniel Bassey has not directly commented on Omole’s story, he has consistently emphasized the importance of faith and expectation during the Hallelujah Challenge.

In a recent broadcast, he said:

“We are not just praying for miracles; we are praising God because He is faithful. When people worship sincerely, Heaven responds.”

Faith, Hope, and Viral Testimonies

The Hallelujah Challenge has become more than just an online worship event — it’s a global faith phenomenon, uniting believers and producing countless testimonies year after year.

Omole’s debt-clearing miracle serves as a vivid reminder of what many believers describe as “the power of praise and prophetic declaration.”

For countless Nigerians burdened by financial challenges, his story has become a beacon of hope that faith — no matter how small — can still move mountains.

cool

That wasn't a miracle but favour by someone who showed concern.
The dept wasn't wiped out by the miraculous, someone paid it. The hallelujah challenge only help to make her plight go viral to reach his helper.

There are good people out there who are willing to help others not because of church or hallelujah challenge with Nathaniel Bassy.

May help, blessings and favour meet us always, not because we are church goers but because we are the children of the most high God, the originator of life, the God of all creation. The infinite and mighty one. The earth shall bless us with his riches

Government hasn't reduced unemployment

To reduce unemployment, you got to change the basis of your economy from resources to manufactured goods and services

That's good...!

God richly bless the giver. His reward will be far exceeding.

As for the young man above, if he likes he should go into another borrowing spree or venture, then praying for succor.

Bible already admonished... "Go and Sin no more". tongue

The way Nigerians would rather be waiting for help rather than to be responsible with their lives is really surprising to me. They believe so much in charity than hardwork and being responsible

That's not exactly true...!

How many citizens of other nations are as hardworking as Nigerians?!! List the countries!

The Nigerian system is simply corrupt, rotten and stacked against honest and hardworking people.

Look around and research well... You will see that the wealthiest Nigerians are neither hardworking nor honest.

Yeah and they have said the same thing under previous administrations. We are doing well, we have increased non oil income,we have reduced inflation

But jobs remain scarce because the basis of the economy is importing consumer goods from selling resources

Until we use our resources to make products the world needs, our economy will be awful.

Nah... I have no excuses to give, just stating facts.

I am successful in Nigeria, but I can't even say it's because I am more hardworking or intelligent than most of my fellow citizens... That would be silly and unnecessary hubris.

I am just fortunate to have a very good connection and in a good profession.

All citizens of this country cannot be as lucky or as connected... However, a hardworking citizen should be able to live comfortably even though he isn't wealthy.

In Nigeria, that is not the case. Except you wish to pretend or you are among those that rather gaslight your fellow citizens rather than call out the damaged country and deteriorating economic climate.

How else do you explain that most Nigerian professionals who relocate abroad quickly get into the top earning class of those nations in their chosen fields within a few years... Something they could never achieve in Nigeria while working and hustling far harder?!!

The truth is what it is.

If u think u are successful as a Nigerian u are really missing in and oversimplifying what it means to be successful. Its like being wealthy but from a very poor family. that's not the end of the journey u still have work to do. As Esan people say, "We are all eating" is better than "I am eating." Thats why black people are not si advanced will all too often like to personalize and individualize success.

Lol... Well, I never said I was eating alone nor did I say I am not influencing others.

Maybe you are the one missing the point you claim to be stating.

Talking about black people, the real question is about the working society and the encouragement to excel.

I absolutely don't fully agree...! Black people support themselves as much as their environments allow them.

Take a look at Atlanta in the United States... That's one of the largest communities of wealthy Black people on Earth.

But, they would never have gone far if their country didn't have exceptionally good leadership at all levels.

Create the enabling society, and by enabling society I mean:

1. Secure and free of terrorism
2. Lawful
3. Brimming with basic amenities like water, electricity and good roads.

...and watch Nigerians take over the universe with unusual industry and revenue generation.
