Tony Okoroji, the Chairman of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) has begun an indefinite one-man demonstration in front of the Federal High Court, Lagos.


Okoroji said that his action has become necessary to draw the attention of the world to a new and dangerous attempt to destroy the Nigerian judicial system by the blackmail of a Nigerian judge to force him not to deliver a judgment written by him.


He says he's asking all lawyers and judges in the Nigerian legal system to insist that the case file in Suit No FHC/L/CS/1259/2017 which he said was taken away in bizarre circumstances from Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court, Lagos, just as he was about to deliver judgment in the suit, be returned to the judge so that he can deliver his judgment and any of the parties dissatisfied with the judgment can proceed to the Court of Appeal.



According to Chief Okoroji, the key question Justice Buba was scheduled to answer in his judgment is this: Under Nigerian law, is the syndicate known as Musical Copyright Society Nigeria (MCSN) truly an approved collecting society and authorized to collect money on behalf of innocent Nigerian musicians? Okoroji was insistent that some people desperately do not want that question answered hence the muscling of Justice Ibrahim Buba and the failed machinations to remove Okoroji himself as Chairman of COSON.

COSON is a society not a federal council backed by law. It was established for musicians to associate if they want to. They also have a right not to associate so you cannot collect money on the behalf of those who refuse to associate with you.

If the Judge is saying that any group of people can just register an organization and start collecting money on the behalf of others, then I put it to you that YOU BRIBED THE JUDGE to make that judgement.
Not every musician is affiliated to COSON so you will not be allowed to invade Radio stations, TV stations, nite clubs, restaurants and pubs to collect money when their songs are played.

We have seen all sorts of stories and attack on an innocent AGF by Tony Okoroji because it appears he cannot have the AGF buy into what is now becoming a very Big Scam in the music industry.

It may interest us to know that the NCC and its top officials are in bed with Tony having serve on the board of the NCC for a long time where they perfected and registered the then *Performing and Mechanical Rights Society (PMRS)* and gave it approval over and above MCSN that was already on ground owing to the fact that MCSN did not allow Tony take over as the head so as not to crash it as he did PMAN.

It is pertinent to note that the Top Officials of the NCC as still drawing their part of the share from PMRS now COSON based on their initial agreement. It is sad that some people who are now aggrieved by what is happening in COSON are sending petitions to the regulator NCC. For WHAT? *NCC and Tony Okoroji are one and the same or do they want the NCC to Cut off their Nose to Spite their Face? *

History

Tony had always wanted to own a Collecting Society after he left PMAN and opened American Specs. However he knew he needed people to use in achiving such. So after trying to hit at MCSN and could not succeed, NCC was just a soft landing for him especially because you had corrupt official who interestingly are still there till date. I will mention their names. Tony floated several organizations to run with but they all failed until he finally sold the idea together with the officials of NCC to *Am-B pro* who jump at it and executed his plan but little did they know that Tony and his people at the NCC had a plan B which will be in stages.

The list would be endless but we would mention a few who had been deceived and hit by these syndicate with its Biggest Scam:

Evangelist Ebenezer Obey, Bode Akinyemi, Keji Okonowo, Rogers Okonkwo,Osita Okeke, Laolu Akins, Toju Ejueyitchie, Sunny Neji, Dare Fasasi, Paul Okeugo, Onyeka Onwenu, Obi Asika, Banky W, Joel Ajayi, Sikiru Agboola, Efe Omorogbe even Audu Maikori and many more who helped Okoroji in executing the COSON plan. They have all written and signed petitions on this same issue but unfortunately those petitions were sent to the wrong place – The NCC which is a subsidiary of COSON (Tony’s Group of Company, TOPS)

Where are they today? As soon as they start to see the fault and have knowledge of ALL the under-dealings of Tony and his boys, they are shown the way out immediately through a Jankara Election or meeting.


The latest victims can tell you better and would be making their experiences know as they have started asking serious questions bordering on Fraud and illegal spending of Musicians money in their care. For instance, Monies that go in for the COSON Week which is commissioned only to TOPS… Tony Okoroji’s PLC (LOL) and we have not even asked how much the COSON HOUSE was bought, already we are aware that Tony is the sole agent and TOPS was the Construction and Renovation Expects in the entire deal. There really needs to be a full investigation to these and many more CHOPPINGS!!.


*NCC under Justice Ministry- Anthony Okoroji, Afam Ezekude & Adoke Bello Mohammed (AAA)*


It is most surprising to see someone like Tony trying to become the spokesperson of government, maybe to the NCC, after he has enjoyed the last administration and wants them back in power so that the deal will continue. No wonder he wants the NCC to be under the Ministry of Information so that his friend *Lai Mohammed* would do his bidding.

However, Okoroji refused to tell the public that *Afam Ezekode* (who was not Qualified for the job) was made DG of the NCC by his Classmate Adoke Bello Mohammed after he had finished using *Bambo Adewopo(SAN).* Afam was the proxy for the Malabu Broker. Okoroji enjoyed so much under the AGF and the NCC at Justice and did not see anything wrong at the time because he was able to factor them into the deal and we need not say more. Bottom line its *_Tony, Afam, Adoke & Meeee - On the Breakfast Table_ .*

From the above, it is very obvious what has gone down in all this and why Okoroji intends to continue with the *MONOPOLY* , so that it can be business as usual. If not, why is Tony complaining so much now and why are the same people at the NCC trying to sabotage the good policies of this present administration? They were taking and executing directives from Adoke because of their share but since the road is blocked now they are saying they can’t because Tony says so.

Tony has sued its regulator for giving a licence to another person to operate and the regulator is busy still running around like there is fire in the house. Have you seen First Bank sue CBN for allowing another Bank to Operate? Or a pure water maker suing NAFDAC for allowing another person produce? Is someone joking here or what?

Meanwhile Tony didn’t tell us that he had sued the AGF, NCC and even Ministry of Information before and lost. Tony didn’t tell the public that he has asked the NCC not to respect the AGF. Tony didn’t tell the public that he has challenged the NCC at the Ministry of Justice and lost in 2009. Now he is bringing up the same issue. I beg let him go to Appeal. Anyway, Tony is not a lawyer so how would he even know?

The government should seriously look inside the NCC and check this Adoke’s people who still feel Tony is their BOSS since he still sends them the thing. �

I am sorry however, for the members of the organization like I said who are complaining to the NCC because nothing serious will be done. In fact, Tony will draft a response and it would be put on the letterhead of the NCC, signed by Akpan, Fagbemi, John, Amodu, Ezeilo or Afam himself and sent back to you. It is very clear why Tony is attacking the innocent AGF because the man has refused to follow his orders like others… *Our Mumu Don Do!!*

If Tony wants to jump from 3rd Mainland because his people have by themselves spoken out finally about the *MASSIVE FRAUD* that is going on in COSON and how Tony has been deceiving the public and how he now wants to use Lai Mohammed (his next victim on the line) to continue his Option A4, then he should just say so. But we think he needs to check himself into Yaba left. The Law would soon catch up with him.

HOW THE CARTEL IN NCC IN COLLUSION WITH TONY OKOROJI HIJACKED CMO ADMISTRATION IN NIGERIA*


As we are following the train of the BIG BOYS in the Music industry, we have come to realize that the
main issue is about one man who is fully backed by the senior officials of The Regulator ( *The Nigerian
Copyright Commission* ), NCC.


We note that these cabal have so entered the arena and they are no longer even ashamed to show their
hands in everything that they do. It has become obvious that they cannot even respond to a common
letter concerning the music industry except it is certified by Tony. No wonder it has become an
academic exercise for anyone or group to say anything about Tony at the NCC, it would reach Tony
faster than the speed of lightening.


The NCC having been ordered by the National Assembly and now the AGF based on findings of abuse of
Office by the NCC and having been compromised up till date are still adamant in carrying out that
directive owing to the fact that they would be exposed by Tony if they don’t follow his dictates.


Afam Ezekudi for Instance, is just like a figure head who does not know his left from his right and of
course what do we expect when he was just called while in the United Kingdom by his friend Adoke to
come and occupy a position he knew nothing about at the time and even now. As soon as he showed
up, Tony made his move on him and the rest is history like they say.


Now we don’t know if the NCC is now under the Ministry of COSON (headed by Okoroji), which use to be
an Agency under the NCC as a Monopoly. It would interest the public to know that once the investigation and
public hearing starts with the NCC and in extension to COSON that the real masquerades would be
exposed in the whole MASSIVE SCAM on the Music Industry by these officials who even doubled as staff
at the PMRS now COSON at a time. I can tell you ahead that Afam would not be able to say anything meaningful as
he would always push the questions to any of his staff… Akpan, Fagbemi, John etc. Mark my word on this
note.


It is also obvious that they have prepared COSON as a retirement home to the detriment of the real
owners of music in Nigeria.
Otherwise, how do you explain the fact that COSON was the sole collecting Society for over 7 years and our musicians are still on the low level of life except very and I mean very few?


Tony has for over 7 years been collecting money on behalf of the entire music industry but never made
it clear that it is not all musicians in Nigeria that are COSON members and NCC has been asked if they
gave COSON the power to do so and if not why is COSON afraid in declaring what is not part its system
so the owners can collect it. There is certainly more than meets the eyes because even the recent
Directors in COSON questioned this much as they could not see monies of the previous year reflecting in the
accounts. Today for trying to know and dare to ask, they have been kicked out as usual and labeled “MCSN people" ,
giving a dog a bad name so as to kill it.

Unfortunately, before now, Onyeka from our findings have been shouting about this tactics by Tony but
no one was listening, now the calamity as befell everyone who dare to question Tony and the NCC who are always available to defend their money machine (ATM) .

Tony as refused to tell the general Public that at the NCC, there is a MAJOR playing who works from outside who has been championing and executing for Tony way before anybody knew about the scheme. This man had been also trying to help push laws that can make Tony rule the entire Music Industry. That is why sometimes Tony would want to make people feel he is a lawyer himself. His name is Prof. Bankole Shodipo who is on the right of the picture above and seen with his main man Tony Okoroji and the present Director General of the NCC. While Nigerian Musicians are sleeping on their rights and while the past COSON Directors are busy trying to wake up from their dreamland, Shodipo, Afam and Tony (SAT) are very busy in Abuja scheming to ‘overthrow’ Ezekude as DG NCC with the connivance of Tony Okoroji. Please don't be deceived because Afam Ezekude is also in on the deal as usual or he would love to step aside for another MAGIC to hit the music industry.
