I had a nightmare today 😭

The Super Eagles were playing Benin, we were losing 2–1, then Osimhen hit the bar from outside the box, then one player like that, not our current player, but for the nightmare he sha play for us, his name is Renebeé (na wetin I see for the nightmare o), he came on and scored the equalizing goal. We come draw.

I was now calculating the table if we can still qualify, the next thing I see, na straight to penalties... Osimhen took the first and scored, Moffi scored, Ekong scored, Ndidi balloon him own go outside stadium...

My guy come wake me. I no come even know whether for the nightmare na Benin win the PSO or Nigeria... Headache just wan finish me this morning.
I saw WAFCON final scores 2 nights before it happened
I was shocked
A flash vision, i watched all the knock out matches Nigeria played. Was too invested in it
These things may happen
I just didn’t want to believe it would be high scoring that’s why I didn’t do anything with it

I pray we qualify

But honestly we no deserve to go World Cup
So who deserves to be in world cup?
Any country that legitimately tops the table deserves to be in the world cup.
If we beat Benin tomorrow & we finish top of the table, then we deserve to be in the world cup.

It's only when we fail, that you can say we don't deserve to be in the world cup.

Benin lost twice to SA
Serious prayers & hardwork will determine who wins the group
Hopefully we prepare properly for the World Cup
Our defense is poor
We concede terribly

Two different formations and three different tweaks that we can use to lineup against Benin.

Which is best? Any changes? 🤔
The first formation is the best and is how I think we should line up. Only thing I’d say is to drop Troost Ekong. He’s been very slack in his defending of late. He’s past it for us. Bassey and Fredrick for CB. We have Bruno and the other call-up for the wing backs.

The other two formations don't have balance in the midfield, far too open.

Are you implying that it is impossible for S/Eagles to win the group?

But I don't think Bruno can play RB. We might just have to use Olakunle Olusegun there if that's the case.

If we had done the needful and racked up the necessary goals against LES, all we will need is just any win against BEN.

This team just likes creating problems for themselves. Very funny team with grade D coach.

That is football. Burkina Faso will also be feeling bad for not scoring more than 3 goals against Ethiopia with missed chances..

I'm starting to have mixed feelings about the upcoming game.

If we qualify, we get to go to the USA and appear on the big stage after 8 years. There's also something sentimental about returning to the country where we played our very first World Cup game. Not to mention, USA has always favored us in terms of football competitions:

1. The 1994 World Cup in USA was where we made the knockouts for the first time and almost made the quarters. We skyrocketed to the 5th best in the world after the tourney.

2. The 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics where Nigeria became the first African nation to win gold in football.

So for those reasons, it will be nice to return there. USA is almost like a second home too because of diaspora fans. There will be massive support base for us there.

But at the same time, if we don't qualify, the NFF will have nowhere to hide. Missing back to back World Cups will force all attention to fall upon the NFF. If we qualify the NFF would have hidden under the positive news to dilute and distract from the obvious problems that need to be solved in our football administration. There could be massive reforms made and we'd come back stronger. Hopefully.

So I don't know. I want us to qualify, but at the same time, if these criminals at NFF don't get a rude awakening to see how terrible they've been, they will keep using flashes of brilliance like our World Cup qualification as leverage that things are not as terrible as they are.

Long story short, whatever happens on Tuesday, I welcome it without complaints.

Actually our ranking of 5th was before the World Cup.

The players themselves are not serious; they are not self-driven, just a set of spoiled kids always waiting to be pushed. What pains me most is some of them having so many caps for the National side yet play as if they are newbies, it's nauseating! The most senior ones among them, especially the ones who joined before Osihmen, can't even show leadership, pure agbayas!

Nwabali should not allow madness prevail over him, he is a fine GK

This highlights reminds me of our problem of not putting enough bodies in the box for cutbacks or crosses

My drive for them to qualify is only because of Osimhen and Lookman, if not I don't even care if they qualify for AFCON, let alone WC.

That Lesotho game could have easily ended in a draw. Aswear some people for don peme due to HBP or heart failure

Omuero once stated that Ekong is the best penalty taker in training.
Yeah. He'll be the 1st in any nervy moment of any competition till he hangs his boots for me. Iheanacho follows. Osimhen sef no dey top 3 best takers IMO. But seniorman no dey currently. I wonder if he'll go WC if we qualify sef.

I really feel for Osimhen. He may yet miss another WC because of some clowns that he has as teammates🥺

And if you minus his goals, we would have forgotten about WCQ long ago.

To keep a clean sheet tomorrow, Onyeka starts alongside Iwobi.Ndidi drops to the bench.

Chiemela starts in the heart of defence alongside Bassey cos of the fast beninoise attack.

Akor starts in a 2-man attack alongside Osimhen cos of his trickery in the final third.

Simon and Lookman completes the attack in a diamond formation.

Bright who got the assist for our equalizer against SA starts at RB.

Skiing is no longer fast and Gernot Rohr will look to exploit this weakness.

Go!Go!!Go!!! Super Eagles.
