One thing we should also do is make sure we milk every foul against us dry. We night be able to get a Beninoire sent off. I expect the Beninoire to defend strong and hard and try to use corner kicks to punish us like they did when they beat us. I hope the technical team has studied tapes of all matches we played against them recently to identify our mistakes and what worked well for us when we got a result. Super Eagles to roast the squirrels 4-0. |

MetalJigsaw:Our only chance is to edge out Burkina. DRC won't lose against Sudan. We can edge out Burkina if we can miraculously score 4 unreplied goals. |

Cocony:We even defeated the same team 3-0, some few months back in the 2025 nations cup qualifier. Anything can happen with Super eagles, about 8 f the 9 games played by SE in world cup qualifiers have been sub-par. |

Osimhen has played 4 games against Benin and failed to score in only one of them. 4 games, 3 goals against them, two coming in the last two matches. I hope the streak continues today. 🙏🏾💯🇳🇬 |

The Eagles need goals and that’s where I have my issues with them. They fire blanks too much. I hope they prove me wrong. Even if they don’t qualify just score goals a plenty and put sceptics like me to shame! But can they? Jamb question! |

Nigerians on twitter (X) are seriously praying for our downfall today just to drag and blame osimhen. It is actually funny cause that is the only Nigeria player that plays with 100% passion for us |

MetalJigsaw:If you read my write up on Direct and Indirect factors we were actually competing against 3potential opponents for a playoff spot assuming direct qualification eludes us via a South Africa win over Rwanda. The opponents were Madagascar, Burkina Faso and Uganda. Note however uncertainties do become certainties on the field like who would have thought Cape Verde will qualify ahead of Cameroun and Angola! As it stands, excluding the Zimbabwe games we have this: P 7 W 3 D 3 L 1 GF 9 GA 6 GD +3 PTS 12. We need an eventual total of 15pts and an eventual total goal difference of +7 to secure playoffs irrespective of the outcome of the SouthAfrica vs Rwanda game. Scoring 2 or 3 goals from freekicks is necessary for the Super Eagles in this game. The reason being that we do not know how many yellow cards our players might get today and to avoid the stress of same points and goal difference with Burkina Faso going down to yellow cards, a 4goal margin is sufficient to do the job. Now playoffs does not mean you will qualify as you already have Cameroun and the possibility of Gabon or Cote D'Ivoire joining with DRC likely joining after our game. Notwithstanding, nobody says SUDAN cannot embarrass DR Congo in DR Congo's home after our set of games. Even if Uganda embarrasses Algeria, it will not be more than a draw or at most a 1:0 away win Let's all support the Super Eagles to a 4:0 or 5:0 victory on the field with our chants of : All we are saying, give us more goals . It is possible, it is achievable as we all stay positive. |

What do we have to offer at the world cup if we qualify? Fill up the pockets of a few greedy guys at the glass house with some world cup dollars and watch the players do their half hearted stuff because they've lost the passion for the jersey while we waste our emotions hoping they scrap a result out of nothing because other country don't deserve better. |

Emmy450:Bro. X is filled with the most youzeless Nigerians you can find on the planet. What did Osimhen do to them? Man was MOTM in the last game and they were still dragging him. He was motivating his teammates after the match, they said he's arrogant, that he's feeling bigger than the team. Nigerians deserve their leaders. The Isak and Gyökeres they've been comparing him with can't do sheeet for their national teams, both of them combined, they have 1 point in 4 games and someone that is feeding off scraps to muster one goal, two goals or assists just to make sure we qualify is the villain. E no suppose better for some people I swear. Nothing he does is ever right in their eyes. Clowns. One even said he prays Osimhen misses a penalty against Benin. Like why? Make club football start abeg. And if Osimhen can retire after this WCQ, let him retire please, that guy don see shege for this country. How I wish you can transfer country make he go dey play for Germany, Belgium or even Türkiye seff, all of them need proper a sharp striker and them get the midfielders to create the chances. |

Hanibal:Most times, if the midfield is weak, there is so little your strikers can do, even if they are world-class. And that's the huge problem we have in our own team. The 2013 Afcon-winning team had no world-class strikers, but with midfielders like Onazi, Mikel, and Moses, it was just enough to pull through. We underrate the importance of both the defensive and attacking midfield! |
