Who cares about Afcon when you have the World Cup ticket

Make we get shame small
for capeverde it’s the same since they can’t win either but for a big African country, nations cup is way better. I’ll gladly take that Egypt 2006-2010 run over any yeye world cup that we would be booted out by the second round.

Most times, if the midfield is weak, there is so little your strikers can do, even if they are world-class. And that's the huge problem we have in our own team. The 2013 Afcon-winning team had no world-class strikers, but with midfielders like Onazi, Mikel, and Moses, it was just enough to pull through.

We underrate the importance of both the defensive and attacking midfield!
Nigeria has midfielders, but for whatever reason Chelle refused to invite a balanced midfield.. there are only 3 natural midfielders in the team currently, all 3 are DMs huh

Bro. X is filled with the most youzeless Nigerians you can find on the planet. What did Osimhen do to them?

Man was MOTM in the last game and they were still dragging him. He was motivating his teammates after the match, they said he's arrogant, that he's feeling bigger than the team. Nigerians deserve their leaders.

The Isak and Gyökeres they've been comparing him with can't do sheeet for their national teams, both of them combined, they have 1 point in 4 games and someone that is feeding off scraps to muster one goal, two goals or assists just to make sure we qualify is the villain.

E no suppose better for some people I swear. Nothing he does is ever right in their eyes. Clowns. One even said he prays Osimhen misses a penalty against Benin. Like why?

Make club football start abeg. And if Osimhen can retire after this WCQ, let him retire please, that guy don see shege for this country. How I wish you can transfer country make he go dey play for Germany, Belgium or even Türkiye seff, all of them need proper a sharp striker and them get the midfielders to create the chances.
I feel you o,even I don delete X since, that place is too toxic for my liking

Qualification for the World Cup is a reflection of where you truly are in your national football development. Let's not get it twisted; I would trade two or three African Cup of Nations titles for a World Cup ticket. After all, at the global stage, who truly values Afcon apart from us Africans?

We blame some North African countries for always qualifying for the World Cup and doing badly at the competition, but we forget that they continue to dominate African club continental competitions.

We don't have midfielders, bruv. Let's be honest, we just keep brandishing names. It's a major reason we are too low scoring for a major soccer nation like Nigeria, we keep blaming coaches and the NFF, but na who sabi play go produce results na

He has more haters than fans in Nigeria and I'm not capping. The Finidi thing don pass but Nigerians love to overdo, plus since Twitter start dey pay, people can't think again. Always looking for banger tweets.

It's now like a 65% haters - 35% fans thing now. It's only in Nigeria I'm seeing fans hating on their player because he scores against their clubs or because he didn't sign for their clubs. Lol.

nope, Tunisia is the most consistent at the World Cup from North Africa but I’m sure if they tell you to pick one of Tunisia Egypt and Algeria for Nigeria to play in an Afcon final I’m sure you’ll rather play Tunisia than the rest. Winning 3/3 Afcon isn’t beans, even back to back only peak Cameroon managed to pull it off

The sooner everybody realize social media (Twitter) isn't a real place, the better
Watched a clip of the team alighting from their bus... See the way fans were hailing osihmen... Most of the time, the fans hail him and not his teammates sef, then you begin to wonder who are now the haters online 😂
I can't even remember a scenario where Nigerian fans has physically ever booed osihmen
For example today now, watch how the stadium would be full to it's brink, then you wonder where are all the people against the team and has has said they won't support super eagles

My dear, forget ooh social media is not a real place, anybody can be anything 💯
Las las everything na cruise

but in reality, anytime he plays he either score or provides an assist, thus their argument is flawed,
What would they say about Alexander ISAK that has 0 goals and assist in their WC qualifiers??

Benin might win this game if they mount sufficient pressure on our defense.
If our route to goal is through a patient build up then we need at least two defensive midfielders.

I suggest long passes from the midfield to the forwards, even if the passes miss their intended targets. We will be in position early enough to recover. We don't need counters from the opposition, until some issues are sorted out.

We have very lethal forwards. We just need fewer opposition players in their own box and therefore more spaces to attack. We need the opposition to come out, that's the reason for the long passes from the midfield rather than dillydallying around their box and running the risk of dangerous counters.
