Absence of lookman is a huge boost. No selfish play or holding up the play for too long. Let him start from the bench next time please.
Even before this game, I had identified that playing Simon and Lookman at the same time was a problem. Chelle needs to start benching one of them and when on the pitch they play directly from the wings and not Lookman always trying to play through the middle.

As for Olusegun he has no business in this team. It is above his pay grade.

LMAO. Atleast you black Naijas hold the economy with 90% extreme poverty , underdevelopment, and majority of youth that dream of escaping from the day they are conceived grin.

We the slaves of Africa envy una wella grin grin
They talk without self-awareness, none whatsoever

I was reading somewhere and apparently Nigeria has the owest life expectancy in the world, worse than war-torn countries and people are still dying over curable diseases like Malaria over there but people are fixated about who runs the SAs economy, South African economy is run by South Africans

We never gel nada! We need someone in that midfield to pull the strings. We play too much through the sides. I call it sides because we really don't have wing play.
If we meet a good side, all they need to do is double up on our wingers and they effectively cut off supply to the attackers..
That's why I said Benin were poor..

We can't play this way at the playoffs..
We need our midfield to work

I kno chukwueze i watched in Villarreal. Ac milan playin pattern messed up his confidence.
Watch out for him in fulham

Don't be surprised when Chelle invites him in November.

Its not being unfair lookman tends to hold ball too much to score his own gaols which chukwueze gets the ball and looks for osimhen.

Chukwueze played with same simon and performed while lookman played with him 3 times and didnt show up.

But in all lookman is better than simon sha.
He is a bit selfish thats his problem
The issue is we are using lookman in a wrong position. Play him as a striker besides oshimen not on the wings or on the right and he will turn up

Benin did not control anything.
Our conservativeness was intentional.
Was this really difficult to see?
Did you see me say Benin controlled the game?
I have been saying Benin were poor
We should be thanking God for that first goal..
That changed everything for both teams

Black South Africans have always been organized boss, even Bantustans under Apartheid were far more organized than many African independent states eg.. Bophutstswana under Lucas Mangope.. so the notion that we "would have been worse than so and so" is borne out of Obvious jealousy nothing else..

And keep on singing the "white man" song, have you seen Addis Ababa lately ?

I am very much around Queenjazz. I must state an obvious observation with the moderators of this Sports section: LEARN TO CENSOR WRONG INFORMATION AND NOT SOMEONE THAT STATED WHAT IS RIGHT. SECONDLY , DO NOT GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT THERE SEEMS TO BE A PREFERENCE FOR A PARTICULAR SET OR TRIBE TO BE HEARD MAKING CORRECT ANALYSIS
THIRDLY, KNOW THAT TWITTER IS AVAILABLE. AND AN ABOUT TO BE LAUNCHED SOCIAL MEDIA APP CALLED IN NIGERIA SO BE HONEST IN YOUR ACTIVITIES AS MODERATORS(AS I TRIED TO UNDERSTAND YOUR SHAMELESS RATIONALE FOR PUTTING SOME
MINUTES BAN ON ME.)
Everything you posted is false, defamatory, and I am hurt by it.

You were banned by the Spambot AI which does not discriminate against anyone. (See the screenshot below)

I do not have any favourites here, and familiarity and ethnicity has never been a consideration for me in moderating this section.

Also, NL is a free for all forum and no one has a monopoly of knowledge and is awarded 🏆 for best analysis. You post, I post, we debate and we come to a better understanding, and thats what makes the forum interesting .

I know it hurts to be banned but pls chill, and take it easy.

you really trust these set of players to do both. God forbid what if something happens to Osimhen. Please I take World Cup qualification over winning the Afcon
Well, the team is growing
They are getting used to Chelle's system and they are winning games..
We are actually on an unbeaten run right now..
The team will only get better
If we play to our strengths, I don't see why we can't win the AFCON and make it to the world Cup as well

It is not confirmed yet. The outcome of DR Congo game is a factor first followed by October 2025 FIFA RANKINGS which will determine who plays who.
That is the correct basis for the playoffs from CAF perspective.
From the look of things if we hopefully qualify from the CAF ZONE, the main threats will be the Asian and South American
Representatives.
I don't understand.

What is the criteria before the fifa rankings

I don't like naija peeps. How can we not see that we have a gem in our hands, a warrior of a man, a beast who deserves not just praise but adulation.

To have the hopes of the whole nation rest on his shoulders and still delivered, is incredible. Osimhen is the man!!!
Yet some say he is not as good as we say he is. Reason no big club came for him in the summer and he ended up in the Hausa League. Many of them are still here swallowing the bitter pie that Seriki came to the party and delivered a masterclass.

What is the criteria before the fifa rankings
Of the eventual 4 second best teams, 1st by the October Ranking vs 4th by same ranking and the other game is 2nd by the October Ranking vs 3rd by same ranking. Penalties to be played in the eventuality of a draw. Then the winners of both games square up to get the right to represent CAF in the INTER-CONFEDERATION PLAYOFFS OF 6TEAMS.
