TheSuperNerd:
That is a legendary note. The Great Yekini had 2 international Hattricks. Osimhen now on 3.

Yekini's 2 hattricks (4 & 3)...

⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ vs Burkina Faso (7-1) in Lagos 1991, Afcon Qualifiers.

⚽️⚽️⚽️ vs Ethiopia (6-0) in Lagos 1993, Afcon Qualifiers.
Yekini scored 4 or 5 against Ethiopia, Late Peter Rufai scored a penalty, I think the 6th goal and one goal was argued as to whether it was Barnabas Imenger that had the last touch or if it was Yekini's.

NIGHTMARE0O7:
Omo i feel for them they would hav comfortably qualified on norms cry
But i think all these hapend for Nigeria to qualify. When u look at these incidents.

1) Eritrea factor
1) Lesotho narrowly missed goal in Uyo
2) Lookman's double yellow
3) suprising 4-0 win(exact min golas dey needed).
U wil know Fate wants Nigeria to qualify.
I think S.Eagles are going to America
I KNOW Nigeria is going to America.

IN OTHER POSITIVE DEVELOPMENTS: CONCACAF ZONE IS NOT CONCLUDED YET. AO NO ABSOLUTENESS ABOUT JAMAICA OR COSTA RICA AS EACH TEAM IN EACH GROUP OF FOUR GETS TO PLAY A TOTAL OF 6MATCHES.
AS IT STANDS PANAMA THOUGH CURRENTLY 2ND IN THEIR GROUP ARE RANKED 29TH IN THE WORLD AND I EXCLAIMED PANA WHAT? 29TH HOW? THOUGH THE CRITERIA ARE LEGIT. BOLIVIA THE SOUTH AMERICA REPRESENTATIVE IS RANKED 77TH AND NIGERIA ARE CURRENTLY RANKED 45TH(COULD IMPROVE ASSUMING WE SCALE
PAST THE AFRICAN VERSION AS THE EVENTUAL REPS). NEW CALEDONIA THE OCEANIA REPRESENTATIVE ARE RANKED 150TH

I love Galatasaray for not undervaluing this beast!

To hell with top 5 leagues clubs!
Galatasaray has one of the best strikers in world football on their hands and they value him immensely! 🦁👑🔥

As long as Osimhen plays there and even when he leaves, I'll always support and respect them too! Paying him €430k+ per week is not easy, but they know they've got a crazy treasure and did not subject him to the non-sense disrespect the EPL and Serie A are trying to subject him to.

This new week, Europe will resonate with the name of Victor Osimhen and the respect will be loud!

I swear. If Lookman played we no go score pass 2 and I'm not capping. He'll come good and great. This is just not his time, he has a lot on his plate right now.
Yes not his time ,the coach should understand this ..but they will always play him ahead of Chukueze who delivered several crosses to Osihmen

opes:
The Eritrea factor hit Burkina Faso the most. They earned 21 points from regular matches, but had 9 goals and 6 points deducted, which cost them a playoff spot
Without the fourth goal our victory would only have opened the door for these lousy Southies?

The world cup needs prime Osimhen. Glad we still have a chance.

Galatasaray is not a mediocre club in the comity of European Clubs .
This is a team that beat Arsenal in the final of the then UEFA Cup(is it 2001 or 2002) parading the likes of George Hagi of Romania, Hakan Sukur, Hasan Sas to mention but a few of the bulk of Turkish players that helped Turkey place 3rd in the 2002 World cup. I think at a time they also paraded Mario Jardel.

He did not score 4 or 5 vs Ethiopia. He scored 3. I have the official records of all his goals from Cap 1 to Cap 62 across all Nigerian appearances.

Note: 62 - 4 Olympic Games Qualifiers makes it exclusively 58 NT Caps.

Exactly. And Angola were so poor. If Angola had met this Benin side today, dem for collect at least 2.
Just that, the playoff is a huge lifeline to all 4 teams, everyone will drop behind their poor qualifying campaign and put on a new armor of God😅

You are on point.
However, I said 4 or 5 because I remember the 1st goal seemed disputed as his' or Barnabas Imenger's and I did not remember Nduka Ugbade scoring the 5th goal.

Omo, those are beasts of players back then. Hakan Suhur and George Hagi, oh Lord, mhen. A free kick for Hagi is almost like a penalty.

My Coach: Éric Sekou Chelle!

The right man for the job. This man knows his job. We all know how we use the same set of players every international window. This man came and introduced:
1. Benjamin Fredrick
2. Igoh Ogbu
3. Felix Agu
4. Tolu Arokodare
5. Akor Adams
6. Christiantus Uche

- Started benching Ekong because he's not at his best.
- Won the Unity Cup (even though it's a friendly cup) but at least we played serious teams to win it.
- Kept experimenting with different players, including debutants so as to get his best starting XI, never lost one match in the process.
- Picked Nigeria already on the brink of missing out on the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
- Played all the matches in front of him, going UNBEATEN and eventually qualifying for the playoffs.
- Kept delivering even when the entire country didn't believe in him.
- Played 9 games, won 6 and drew 3.

I know he has one or two improvements to make, but... WHAT A MANAGER! TAKE A BOW, ÉRIC CHELLE! 🫡🙇🏾‍♂️

Clearly yes with the tracksuit improvised shorts and an excellent Finidi George display while yet at Calabar Rovers or was it Sharks?

Yes, Jardel played for them too.
Beat Arsenal to win the UEFA Cup in 2001, then beat Real Madrid (winners of the UCL then) to win the UEFA Super Cup!

They have history! Great fans too.

While you are right about the freekick prowess of George Hagi(The Carpathian Maradona) you intended to say Hristo Stoichkov's disallowed freekick goal for Bulgaria on our debut at USA 94. THEY ARE 2 DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS

Nwabali matter don tie wrapper, abeg what should we do cos we are rejoicing now but this is the 3rd match in a row with such carelessness. I hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the end. It's a straight goal in Europe.

Where will we see goalie abeg?

I agree that there is a gap between the Number 1, and to be honest, we don’t even have a Number 2 currently. If Maduka was available, maybe we would have been working towards something, but that Onana wannabe is, for all intents and purposes, untested and inexperienced.

Quality goalkeepers go a long way in must win games, and there is no way to resolve that issue as it stands. Nwabali is all we have
