Hello Nairalanders, I notice that there are alot of people willing to travel to Mexico but they dont know how to go about it. like:
i) requirement for Tourist visa to mexico from Nigeria
ii) requirement for student visa
iii)spouse,work,sport visas and alot more.
iv) how mexican conduct their interviews.
v) There address and website as well as visa application form.
Vi) visa fee and how they accept their visa fee.

Also, how Nigerians that are currently living in mexico are surviving, how newly arrived Nigerian can live in mexico where to go and where not to go and alot more.
I am using this opportunity to call on Nigerians who are currently living in mexico and people that are have traveling experience to contribute to this particular Topic which I know most of people that are willing to Travel to Mexico will surely benefit and also for upcoming novice will be highly benefited

@larry4ever, go to their embassy in abuja and make your findings and keep your money away from agent.mexico is not that save. They can shoot anyone because of $5. They shoot anyhow and kidnap expecially foreigner, strange bulet anyhow.I am not trying to discourage you but that is basic truth about the place. But if you are there you are in usa, because there are many usa citizen living there because they share bounaries. Don't think of crossing oo.they speak spanish and english as their offical language.

hum thanks all, to add to what my fellows has contributed. mexico is a good place if you know correct state to settle in mexico some state in mexico are good for beginners while some are not good. anyone interested in traveling there should do their research on their own. as for me I can travel there. but I dont encourage anyone to think of crossing there are many things you can do legally to make a living in mexico. as regards to mexico visa it is very easy to get their visa if you have your document but it is not so that it is necessary to have canada or uk visa on your passport before they can give you but if you have travel to uk, russia, germany, turkey it is added advantage for you to get the visa. I have correct agent that is doing it. peace.

Mexico Tourist visa is easy to get in Mexician embassy abuja, it costs $36, they will give you 3 months, once you get there you can get their stay in Mexico.
Am currently in Mexico, i have been working in Mexico for two years, its a nice country, but not many black people are there, as a black man they look like me like a king.
Mexico is safe, its only the North of Mexico that its not, their electricity is stable, good water, good road.

I have been to mexico many times..its true not many black people there...I knew of americans there who were husstleing to survive there even though they could go back to USA..many USA fugitives hide there and yes there is lots of drug gang murder up north involveing government and personal fights.....there are safe palces to go further south and away from the pacific side sinaloa and michuacan and some US citizens i know love to go there often for holiday...if americans would husstle there, then nigerian would not be so worried there with a better standard of development also high population and commerce..i travel and stay in central america often but below mexico in nicaragua also again this january 2 weeks time for 6 month stay...i use US passport but there is the mexican visa info for abuja someone posted above and $36 is cheap compared to what i pay with US passport in countries near mexico...i lived on the border of mexico for 5 years 1997 to 2001 and i would go to mexico every weekend and often go for several weeks far south..once i drove 4 days south into mexico to puerto vallarta and back to arizona USA...many beautiful beach resort cities there...there is lots of official coruption at border crossings and possible random places, they try to extort bribes often and if you are black in mexico,it is likely that anyone who does not know you will think you are black american there...i remember children trying to jump and touch my hair to see what it was like ,very rare for them to see black people...i also remember children trying to grab my wallet and run one time...if mexico is easy visa from nigeria, its worth the try to go and it will have you centered in the americas with many nice countries nearby

IT states that it is required for you to go in person to the embassy for all nigerians applying to go to mexico...No online APPLICATION option...use the information posted ABOVE here to know what you must gather to take with you when you go to the embassy..the telephone to call there is posted above and its wise to call them for an appointment so to be sure they have time to see you when you arrive....KNOWING SOMEONE IN MEXICO WHO IS MEXICAN CITIZEN TO INVITE YOU IS IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT...ITS BEST YOU GET OFF THIS NAIRALAND AND GO TO MEXICAN WEB SITES TO MEET PEOPLE... AND GET CALLING AND THEN GOING TO THE EMBASSY IN ABUJA

I am some how confuse if someone will not need transit visa if there is stop over to connect to another flight. e.g KLM, lufthansa etc. kindly clarify it. thanks in millions.
Re: Traveling To Mexico General Enquiries by 19naia(m): 9:24pm On Jan 12, 2013
generally speaking, when buying an airline ticket,it is expected that you have your visas sorted out at the time of check in at airport and one time when i bought my ticket in person at the airline office, they wanted to see my visa or qualifying visa waived nation passport, and then also to get most visas, they want to see your ticket....the airline was able to confirm for me what visas were needed for transit or other purposes...that is when you buy in person at their office or if you buy online ticket, then you must find the ticket/route and then call to the airline to request transit visa info...airlines normally only sell roundtrip ticket for non nationals of the destination ...you can also just call and buy over the phone after all your questions and needs have been answered.......the other way is search to buy the ticket on line or in person and then call or email the consulates of those countries for transit visa policies, and then set about to meet the requirements..transit visas are easy especially if you already have your destination entry requirements sorted out....the conflict of visa needed to buy ticket and ticket needed to get visa may eliminate online and phone options in some cases...a good travel agent can help you sort that out......use this link here to research the address and telephone/email of most consulates/embassies in the world:::http://www.visahq.com/visas.php
