Definitely. But we don't know if he'd have started playing consistently at his club then. Werey wan use gym kill himself and I love it. Make he build like Gala goalkeeper. 😂

BankyGee:
My Coach: Éric Sekou Chelle!

The right man for the job. This man knows his job. We all know how we use the same set of players every international window. This man came and introduced:
1. Benjamin Fredrick
2. Igoh Ogbu
3. Felix Agu
4. Tolu Arokodare
5. Akor Adams
6. Christiantus Uche

- Started benching Ekong because he's not at his best.
- Won the Unity Cup (even though it's a friendly cup) but at least we played serious teams to win it.
- Kept experimenting with different players, including debutants so as to get his best starting XI, never lost one match in the process.
- Picked Nigeria already on the brink of missing out on the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
- Played all the matches in front of him, going UNBEATEN and eventually qualifying for the playoffs.
- Kept delivering even when the entire country didn't believe in him.
- Played 9 games, won 6 and drew 3.

I know he has one or two improvements to make, but... WHAT A MANAGER! TAKE A BOW, ÉRIC CHELLE! 🫡🙇🏾‍♂️
And people here we're quick to criticize him and also blame him for the draw against Zimbabwe... I don't think Nigerians appreciate genuine act of service enough TBF.

Jamaica won today. Its Caracao thst will make. Jamaica will qualify directly
Curacao in the playoffs? 😃😃

Lol, if Nigeria don't start exhibiting bipolar tendencies again, this playoffs should be a breeze.

I predict Costa Rica as our deciding game in March. They're roughly on par with Jamaica. If we could put Jamaica away with our B team, I'm sure we can beat Costa Rica if we face off.

I ask again, why was Benin 🇧🇯 legit goal not counted ? Nwabali dropped d ball on d ground as if dere was an infringement 😄…if var Dey , d goal would av stood
Eritrea pulling out, Souh Africa's point deduction, Bassey's goal against South Africa, Nwabali' brain fart (the one you mentioned) and many others. Maybe the universe is giving us a push even when we're sluggish and unwilling.

We are our own biggest problem. The most annoying are those fans who don't even pay attention to Nigerian football unless Super Eagles are playing a major game on a major stage. There are many who aren't even paying attention to Nigeria's qualifying campaign. But watch them come and start mouthing off if Nigeria gets to the World Cup or the AFCON and don't play up their standards. They'll be calling for Chelle's head completely oblivious to the role that man has played in keeping our World Cup dreams alive.

But i think all these hapend for Nigeria to qualify. When u look at these incidents.

....Eriterea Factor
....3 points award to Lesoth boosted their cofidence to avoid bottom
.....Lesotho narrowly missed goal in Uyo
......Lookman's double yellow
.....suprising 4-0 win(exact min golas dey needed).
U wil know Fate wants Nigeria to qualify.
I think S.Eagles are going to America
Omo... I didn't even see your post before making mine. I'm expecting this luck to continue till March

Bolivia has qualified from SouthAmerica. If we qualify with our Fifa ranking. We will not meet the South American representatives
FIFA has not said so on their website. Until we qualify as CAF's representative we don't know who we are meeting. I pointed out the rankings cos as it stands, if we come out as CAF representative we would have gained some points and will only play one Inter confederation match the opponent of which we are not aware as the Intercontinental pairing has not been made which is the fact as well as the truth. We need to check their website and/or Wikipedia update before drawing conclusion.

I swear. Bunch of clowns.

I've seen many foreign accounts and top journalists giving Osimhen the praise and accolades for the wicked striker that he is, but guess who are in the comments sections of those posts slandering Osimhen? The same foolish Nigerians.

Onyedika, Lookman and Aina should be back for the playoffs next month, those are added quality with enough experience to boost the team.

Does Gabon have good defenders?
Everybody start doing your homework now
I've watched most of their AFCON and world cup qualifiers, they can score goals no doubt, but they are also very defensively suspect...I believe they conceded the most goals in their WCQ group. We are better defensively than them and Benjamin/Bassey will frustrate Auba and Lemina

Mybettingtips:

Watch our keeper

Nwabali needs to be talked to. Serious talk, his non chaplains attitude may cost us again. The ref didn’t blow his whistle yet he dropped the ball and the Benin guy scored a legit goal. Thank God the ref didn’t give the goal. That’s a big risk

Captain Ndidi went to talk to him, see the way he shuffled him away. At half time camera was on him and Ekong and they were seriously arguing. His ego may cost us big in future

A keeper that should ginger us by launching fast counters when we were in dire need of goals. He was busy wasting time sleeping on the ball. Thank God Frank the Tank got us the winning goal.
What exactly is stopping us from calling Arthur Okonkwo? He is eligible to play for us straight away. He has been cleared by FIFA to switch. He has made himself available. He has been putting in decent performances in the championship. Why he hasn't been called is still a surprise to me. I have personally seen his game on a few occasions. He's better than Nwabali.

At this rate I'll take Uzoho over him oh.

A player that doesn't listen to teammates let alone his senior teammates is a waiting disaster

Same way he shoved off Bassey, the Bobo come dey look am like;

Unfortunately these same teams turn into prime Bayern whenever they see Nigeria. Their eyes go red for people like Osimhen, but see the useless space they were giving Apollis.

This is why we can't afford to be complacent. Everyone (except our players sometimes) knows Nigeria is a world class threat that can run shoulders with the very best (Argentina, France etc) when they are on form. That's why these minnows don't take us lightly. Every match against us feels like a final for them.

Unfortunately, we on the other hand are always complacent with these small teams.

Our whooping of Benin last night just goes to show the kind of damage we can cause when we're playing to our full potential, or close to our full potential.

Here's a fun fact: Benin weren't actually terrible yesterday. They were quite decent. They actually created a lot of good chances against us, but they just weren't clinical or lethal enough. We were just too hot for them to handle.

God forbid! Uzoho keh? Francis "Onana" Uzoho? Might as well play without a goal keeper. 😭

Nwabali is actually good. Pride and overconfidence is his biggest problem.
