He is right... but all these are changing in this modem day. A society where; "the way family, neighbours, and friends all look out for one another. That bond gives children a foundation money can’t buy,” is quickly becoming no more!!! ![]() |

I agree 100%, despite all the challenges we face in Nigeria. The sense of community, cultural values, and strong family bonds in Nigeria make it one of the best places to raise children. |

With all these our dilapidated and lack of infrastructures I doubt. Maybe he bases his argument on environmental influence. Apart from social influence you never compare raising a child here to raising them abroad where they get everything available including modern health care and far more quality education |

I agreed. One could still raise kids abroad but Nigeria's environment has a way of making one to raise and all round kids. My people in US do send their children to be enrolled in some prestigious catholic schools in Nigeria. One is currently in my house, attending one of the Jesuit colleges in Nigeria - He would move to boarding when he gets to JSS 3 His parents in Houston are happy about their decision, one of which they want him to have Nigerian friends, class mates and build a good social networks with some Nigerians. The religious aspect of it is also a factor and the ability of the kids to connect to our village and his root. So far, he is bonding very well and adapting fast. The below quote from MI is the goal "He revealed that he envisions a balanced upbringing for his future kids — one that merges Nigerian cultural roots with global exposure." |

The guy is right this may be one of the reasons they easily get depressed over there, when you have no one to relate with, share your joy and sad moment with and eventually commit suicide or go for mass shooting. This is where we Africans especially Nigerians should still be grateful to God for having a society where we have family settings and friends we can lean on in time of challenges and share our happy and challenging moments with. And I pray this Western way of life that is creeping in gradually will not completely take away this commendable family settings. |

That’s a fact! If morals, etiquette, discipline, communication, influences and community responsibility are on the table, Nigeria is definitely one of the best. |
