3. Check your potential business location retail price.
4. Do check and balance with transport cost.
Then you can know if the 2m will be enough or not.

All these are stories. Building materials strives well in areas were new constructions are going on especially for retails except you want to start big. Most building materials dealers stays closed to each other, that is they have their own markets; except perhaps cement dealers. No one building materials move more than the other they are inter-dependent on each other. Example, if you buy cement today, before you finished the building, you will need Iron rods, nails, plumbing materials, pop materials, keys and doors, etc.

Don’t just start any business because people on social media said so!Decide which business you intend to go into,learn the business for at least 6months!There are things you only learn/know by being on ground

You are in southwest and Ogunpa market is your best bet. Some claimed things are cheaper in Lagos but I never tried because of Lagos Wahala.
Go to the market yourself, go round very well and dont just buy from the first place you see things. There are a lot who bought and resell in the same market so the more you go around, the more you are likely to get it directly from the "major distributor".
Whatever you want to buy, don't buy pieces, ask how much is carton or dozen and tell them to give you half or even quarter.
A lot of things you will need to learn from going to the market but later, you can just be sending money for waybill and your goods will be delivered to you.

Am considering linking up with the importers who I assume are major distributors themselves then buying in cartons from them.

She supplies them to nearby restaurants. Some come to meet her at home to buy. Like average of 30k worth of fufu/day.
