If you knew how the table looked like prior to the point deductions from Mokoena and the Eritrea situation, you would be stupified at the possibility of even smelling a playoff spot.

Heck, take a look at the 2nd place table on Google which doesn't account for the Eritrea point removals. Now take in how we were able to score 4 unreplied goals against a Beninoise team that had all the momentum and a chance to qualify.

This is truly a miracle.

You still have not provided your submission on his showing. The 4-0 win didnt cover the fact that we still have flaws that need addressing in the team.

Sir Kog45, if you cannot honestly provide a true analysis on Olakunle's showing, then it shows u are afraid of spilling the truth. And I hope you keep this energy and not analyse or criticize the performance of other lads as well.

Oh is that so....but 4-0 don covered it😁na everybody dey celebrate Doctor

All these digs at Nwabali should stop.
I don't want his confidence to take a dig.

Someone is already clamoring for Arthur Okonkwo to deliver us from Nwabali.
Is this blindness or just plain ignorance.
How much of Arthur Okonkwo does this person know. (I am not taking anything away from Arthur)

Could it be that Nwabali's composure and confidence is intimidating the timidity of some people.
They cannot just come to grip that someone can be as confident as that.

We have over the years clamored for a goal keeper like Nwabali.
Nwabali is very good.
Please appreciate him.

Your opinion on Nairaland today versus the opinion of other pundits in Africa and Europe during the U20 AFCON 2023 AND THE FIFA U20 WORLD CUP IN 2023 which led to his move to Europe which would I regard with more importance? Theirs of course.

The question I think would be better if we asked what performance led to his invitation to the National team? For instance FC Ebedei if I am not mistaken churned out Obafemi Martins, we only discovered him when he was at Inter Milan. The significance to his invitation was his delivery whilst at Inter Milan because whilst at Ebedei he did not earn any Nigerian youth team invitation.
By the way he was registered with Nasarawa United before attending U20 AFCON in 2023.

The idea of Akinsanmiro is if Chelle can please play a 3-man midfield.
So yes, if Akin is called just like how Uche was called, I am afraid we will still see a 2 man midfield.
So while personnel is also important, I can agree it is also a tactics issue.

We all saw how more balanced we were in the middle with more presence after Onyeka came in for Adams. We had Onyeka, Ndidi, Iwobi on the pitch at the same time. Not that this is our most tactically balanced 3 but it beats the 2 man setup of Iwobi x Ndidi.

You see why that Unity Cup important bah? 😂 People been write am off. It gave us just not new players but made us watch what Chelle can do even without our main stars.

Now, it has shown us what the Confederation playoffs will look like. I'll just take it as a Unity Cup 2.0, the same format, one winner, 4 teams. If we can win the Unity Cup three times back-to-back-to-back, we can win the Unity Cup 2.0 😁

Olakunle wasn't terrible per se. For me, he was just... there really.

I'd rate him a 6 or a weak 7 over 10. He didn't mess the bed, but didn't really stand out either.

Nwabali is good. But the criticisms over his antics in the last game vs Lesotho are justified. I dont mean over-the-top criticisms but sound criticism. He almost cost us.

But all the same. He is a big presence in the dressing room and still our number 1. Losing both parents is a blow so I can relate from a clinical and psychological POV.

And this is partly why I dont want to hear any funny talks of Aniagboso right now near where we have Nwabali and Okoye.

Nwabali is tested, trusted but needs to be careful going forward. No more unnecessary antics. The cleansheet vs Benin will do good for his proper show of confidence and composure.
