lbrichman2:Too selfish. That's my problem with Lookman. The reason Lookman shone at the last Afcon was due to the selflessness of Osimhen and Moses Simon |

semid4lyfe:NEVER.. Lookman holds on to the ball for too long and plays hero-ball... SE scored 4 goals without Lookman and Ekong.. |

SymphonyRad:Lookman is best deployed as a support striker.. We reduce his influence in games when we play him as a winger and expect him to cross or create.. He's an intelligent and highly technical player.. We need him playing closer to Osimhen if we are going to reach our potential.. |

Mujtahida:Lookman is only selfish when Osimhen isn't in the team, so he plays like the main guy.. With him partnering Osimhen, he excels in that supporting role.. Playing him on the wings is wasting his world class potential |

Awoniyi has 10 caps more than enough to show what he's about however I don't think his problem has been opportunity but injuries. Nigeria is currently blessed with so many forwards that when Awoniyi is missing due to injury other forwards come in. The competition for places in the striking department for anyone not named Osimhen is pretty intense that if you don't shine immediately you will lose your place. Guys like Sadiq, Onuachu, Moffi, Dessers, Tolu have struggled for game time in the SE with varying levels of effectiveness when they play. The bottom line is no matter your status as a forward in club football if you don't make an instant impact with the national team you will be dropped for another option. Don't forget that Awoniyi was part of the line up that failed to score against Lesotho including Boniface who is the only one you can argue was given very long rope. forgiveness: |

FIFA U20 WC Semis Morocco 1-0 France HT Scored from a penalty situation. Initially hit post but went in off the GK's back Morocco are 45mins away from the U20 WC Final and they have Zero shots on target vs France's 4. Morocco have really thrived on a solid defensive game and brilliant countet transition plays through out the U20 WC. |

He cant even comment on his boy, Olakunle's performance so that answers everything. Olakunle did not have a good 45mins. He was lack lustre, indecisive, wasteful. Just plain truth. Same twitter where I had folks asking who the hell the #22 was and what in the hell he was playing? Abegi. Mujtahida: |

chrisooblog:Osimhen played 6 games without scoring a goal. He managed to score 2 goals in his 9th caps before he picked up. We should stop using double standards here. We should have said the 9 caps were enough for him to prove himself. While Osimhen received love and positive impulse. Awoniyi received hate and bad impulse. This matters alot because it shapes behaviors in a positive or negative reaction. The same thing Boniface will receive if he is called tomorrow. Yes love. |

Osimhen scored on his 6th cap, Oga. And that 6th cap was his 2nd NT start. So dont make it look like Osimhen didnt take his chances too. 7th cap came vs Brazil. He started. His 3rd NT start. He scored again on his 8th cap vs Benin in an Afcon Qualifiers. His 4th NT start. His 9th Cap was his 5th NT start and he bagged 2 goals and 2 assists. forgiveness: |

Icon4s:Same here. And I could be mistaken but against DR Congo, we surprisingly don't have a good record. If I recall properly, they've beaten us more times than we've beaten them, which is crazy. Although to be fair, I don't think we've played many games. |

France U20s equalise and to be honest, they deserve it. They are the better side. Morocco's haram style is obvious. Defend... Defend... Defend... and hit on counter. My maroc boys dey fall hands. TheSuperNerd: |

Awoniyi started 4 of his first 7 NT Caps. He ended up starting 50% of his NT caps. 5 out of 10. Awo got his chances. Especially at a full tournament... Afcon 2021. So you are trying to rewrite history as if he was not given chances. forgiveness: |

How we still have Moses Simon and Chukwueze(with respect to him) as starters in 2025 is baffling to me, this is what qualifying for youth tournaments would have solved but we have an NFF that is more concerned with embezzlement than actual football administration, the sadder thing is that our main stars like Osimhen, Iwobi are approaching their later peak years yet there are no young bloods knocking on the door of the NT ready to take over from them in due time |

AET Morocco 1-1 France. Morocco made a second GK change. Their #1 got subbed out due to injury before extra time and then as PSO approached, they brought in their third GK, possibly their PK expert. Let us see how it goes. Penalties is next. TheSuperNerd: |

I don't know what the coaching crew told Moses Simon at the interval, dude came out smoking in the second half and got 2 assists and almost got a goal Thank you Mo for your selfless service to the SE |
