YouTube experienced a widespread outage Wednesday, with thousands of users reporting issues, according to Downdetector.com.

More than 200,000 users had reported problems with the platform as of 4:36 p.m. PT (12:36 a.m Nigerian time), according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.

Update at 4:40 p.m. PT (12:40 a.m Nigerian time)
Nearly 300,000 users had reported a problem with YouTube.

Was just trying to do my small doomscrolling for the night, only to realise YouTube was glitching. Randomly playing some videos, randomly showing errors.

Just realising 300,000+ people were already on downdetector reporting the issue. 😅

Of all apps to suffer glitches, YouTube my night pass time! Was having issues too with it this morning and had to update the app yet same error message. I hope they get it fixed soon. It's a trove of knowledge and information to some of us.

No wonder. I thought it was my network. Airtel useless on a regular day. Those ones are having issues too. I guess the YouTube one will come down to maintenance.
