Morocco scores. France misses.

Morocco wins 5-4 on Penalties

They will contest the Final of the Fifa U20 WC 2025.

Resilient in defence. Decent counter attack transitions. Good GK in their #1. Tactical compactness.

France were better overall. Had 8 shots on target vs Morocco's 1 but Morocco wins out.

Congrats My Maroc Boys.
I think it's time for NFF to make Morocco FA as a case study...this is pure football development

Forgiveness and agenda 5&6

TheSuperNerd:
Awoniyi started 4 of his first 7 NT Caps.

He ended up starting 50% of his NT caps. 5 out of 10.

Awo got his chances. Especially at a full tournament... Afcon 2021. So you are trying to rewrite history as if he was not given chances.

Arrogant because he argued with somebody? Arguing now equals arrogance? U learn something new everyday.

I have not seen Nwabali do anything that Osimhen hasn't done. Anyone complaining better show their receipts of Osimhen complaints or they are just hypocrites.
Now you want to justify it with false equivalence? Osimhen jeopardize the team or doesn't heed his teammates call on the pitch? Habaaaaa.

By the way you lied Awoniyi only had one assist at the AFCON.
Taiwo Awoniyi had his chances but failed especially during Afcon, injuries made things worse for him and was surprised Nottingham offered him extension, possibly to show their appreciation, better for him to move in January even if it's championship to rediscover himself and launch his career back

My brother, the ideology of downplaying bad behaviour is disgusting and appalling as if we watched a different match entirely.

I have been a campaigner for NWABALI but for that Lesotho flop plus the time wasting when we were only 2:0 up was a red flag for me.
Im tired of yes-men in this national team. Naso media officer throw Dessers under bus but no mention of what Nwabali is currently doing. We are lucky that the benin goal didn't count and that Onyeka also scored that 4th goal. Else na 3-1 we go dey weep on and by then all these artful dodging of the truth will be a different story.
He wasn't this foolish. Infact this attitude skyrocketed after some games in the PSL this year. He now brought it to the team fulllyyyyy. We don't need that. We need his head in the moment and in the game.

Once again we are lucky that Benin goal didn't count.

I love Nwabali and defended him many times here...he should thank his Star that we made it to the playoffs he would have received stick and trust Nigerians that's the end.

Awoniyi hate!? Forgiveness you don start again.

Taiwo is a player who I admire for his faith, humility and doggedness but my bias for him shouldn't cloud my reasoning about how he has performed for the national team.

Awoniyi has 10 caps more than enough to show what he's capable of and every fair supporter will say he has been average so far with the SE.

So using Osimhen as a cover to excuse Taiwo's average performances so far for the national team will not fly. Other forwards don't have stellar numbers and have been criticized why should Awoniyi be excused.

Victor has been performing let Awoniyi up his game so that everyone will hail him instead of using agenda and shalaye to cover for him.
Is it a lie Osimhen scored his first goal after 6 caps?

Awoniyi scored after 3 cap.

Is it a lie Osimhen scored 2 goals after 9 caps while Awoniyi scored 2 goals after 10 caps?

Na lie?

Yes you are right on Awoniy and I hope he rediscover himself but many are still waiting for Boniface goal in eagles except me and Mujtahida 😁

Boniface is a real disappointment. He's lack of seriousness is his undoing. Awoniyi is just unlucky with injuries.

Just rewatching the match and saw that, that Ikedia boy almost touched Simon's cross to Onyeka with his hand. Omo!!

How did Chelle invite that boy ahead of Ejuke? Hmm
God foresaw that that moment will come when during a WCQ match in which we desperately need a fourth goal, Simon will cross the ball and Olakunle will jump for it, so God made him short so that no matter how high he jumps he'd not be able to get to the ball.

God surely has a sense of humor 😂😂😂

Osimhen played 214 minutes without scoring a single goal. It took him 215 minutes to score his first goal in his 7th match.

Awoniyi played 161 minutes without scoring a goal. He eventually scored in his 162 minutes in his 3rd game.

Osimhen had only 1 goal after 388 minutes. He scored his 2nd goal for SE after playing 389 minutes via penalty. This happened to be his 9th caps for SE.

However, Awoniyi had 1 goal after 336 minutes but scored his 2nd goal after 337 minutes which was his 7th game for SE.

Who had more chances to blossom?

Egbon you're 100% correct. On Boniface has anyone been clamoring for him lately? We only hoped he will replicate last year's Leverkusen performance which he sadly failed to do and has been duly ignored since by the SE handlers.

We should not forget Osimhen struggled to score in the first 5 matches he played but was still given chances upon chances before he picked up.

How many goals did he score in AFCON? He scored once and assisted 3 times.

The problem with Nigeria is, once you are a fan favorite, no matter what you play, you will still be given chances upon chances.

Awoniyi didn't enjoy the grace Osimhen enjoyed when he was inform.

For Osimhen, the patient eventually paid.

I think Boniface lost his place by not being in Afcon. Sometimes, when you miss an opportunity, you lose out completely. Some players cemented their place in the team with Afcon. Even Ndidi still dey struggle after missing Afcon too. For Awoniyi, he may just have lost his place totally, except for a miracle happening.

Life can be unfair, and that's the reality. For some players, they need just one match to sneak in, and no one will offer them more opportunities if they don't play well in just one match; other players will have several opportunities before they can finally cement their place. Just imagine if Benjamin Frderick did not play well in the chance he had in the Gold Cup earlier this year, I doubt he would be given more opportunities to prove himself. Adams may just have cemented his place by just that goal against Lesotho. mhen life can be cruel!

It's tough but that's how it should be in a highly competitive team with high standards.

I just wish our midfield was that intense as regards competition for places. Imagine after 8 plus years Iwobi and Ndidi are still sure starters in midfield.

I think the play offs would do us more good preparation wise if we make it to the world cup. Super Eagles always start competitions slowly then build momentum as they progress which is mostly due to NFF not organising enough friendly matches for the team to blend properly.

Just look at us playing up to four international competitive games alone mehnn. I really hope we make it to the World Cup. This is the best time to evalaute our squard depth especially in the middle. Our boys would be racking up Caps.

It's time and chance bro. That Benjamin ehn, he's not pacy as such. I think his strength lies in his football intelligence in that he's never caught out of place. He plays in such a way that with two or three runs, he's on you and he never gets beaten.

grin grin

Hehehe.....me sef still dey observe am with corner eyes.

Watched him in Getafe, and he doesn't strike me as a technical player. I see him as a battler, and workaholic kinda player who covers a lot of ground, is difficult to dislodge off the ball and gets into the box to contribute a fair share of goals.

But his meteoric rise from playing amateur football in Owerri in 2022 to the Spanish La Liga/Premiership in just 2/3 years suggests he's got something. I mean, all the talent scouts and managers cannot be blind.

And at the apex level, clubs typically have dedicated scouting departments with staff watching dozens of tapes and analysing player data before making a buying decision.

Granted he's had limited appearances in the Super Eagles but his cameos have been average at best if not subpar.
