I think Chrisantus Uche problem is our technical team (Chelle and NFf) inability to correctly profile him. They don't know what position he's best at. Wrong profiling of players has been a long standing problem,eg Iwobi, lookman,Simon. I think he's best as a box to box cm where he can use his energy

More into him than the victory? If that was true, my posts would be more about Olakunle than about our Victory or other football happenings. Look through my last 20 posts and tell me Olakunle dominates discussions.

I only needed your honest appraisal of his 45mins showing which you did not provide until now. So thank you for finally dropping it. It was not hard now, was it?

Kog45:
Doc,you are more into this boy than our victory in our discussion?I needed to watch him again and sincerely am not impressed, pls you can roll back pages to see if I ever pushed for his invitation...I just celebrated a young talent making eagles just like I did for Benjamin Frederick, fact I said it here that I will start Frederick but some said NO?but today the boy is on fans lips.

On Olakunle Olusegun,Abegi he can't make my XI even my bench he would be difficult for him.

My fix against Benin is just goals I don't care about individual displays that day.

Awo had a full tournament to blossom by just his 2nd cap. His 2nd, 3rd and 4th caps came at a major tournament. He was the main man. Those are chances and repainting them however u wish will not change that fact.

forgiveness:
Osimhen played 214 minutes without scoring a single goal. It took him 215 minutes to score his first goal in his 7th match.

Awoniyi played 161 minutes without scoring a goal. He eventually scored in his 162 minutes in his 3rd game.

Osimhen had only 1 goal after 388 minutes. He scored his 2nd goal for SE after playing 389 minutes via penalty. This happened to be his 9th caps for SE.

However, Awoniyi had 1 goal after 336 minutes but scored his 2nd goal after 337 minutes which was his 7th game for SE.

Who had more chances to blossom?

Haaland to snatch a late victory for team B
That guy na spoiler shaa. Wicked Goals lord. But Osimhen will have the last say and snatch two late fouls just outside the box and a penalty win to be converted by Rice and Mbappe respectively.

Osimhen to Team B's win chances:

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m):
The 442 is not our best. It is only effective when chasing a game or goals. We started with 442 and you saw how the 2 man midfield struggled to keep a hold of plays in the middle. If not for Chukwueze's brilliance, we would have had a goalless first half.

Switching to a 3 man midfield provided the control we needed in the middle to build momentum towards finishing off the job. And that 3 man personnel of Iwobi, Frank and Ndidi is still not close to our best tactically balanced 3 in the middle yet we still fashioned out some chances. Osimhen's header off Bruno's cross which was saved at the last min by the Benin GK is one.
Olakunle's wasted chance is another.

Iwobi went out for Moffi on 88mins and we threw nearly everyone forward. That was no longer 442. It was 424. Or dare I say, 4-1-5. Tolu, Moffi, Olakunle all clustered into the box, Moses Simon driving into the left of the box with Bruno catching up fast on the outside in case of a pass for a quick cross, and Onyeka arriving into the box.

442 is useful in certain game phases but most certainly not our best formation and I would only play 442 with the exact personnel type that suits it.

Bossoflife25:
This 4-4-2 is our best set up. Chelle switched to 4-3-3 by bringing on Frank. We had Frank, Ndidi, and Iwobi in the midfield and we couldn't even build a genuine chance not until Moffi came on when we switched back to 4-4-2, and scored within minutes. I would start Onyedika to play Iwobi's role and either Onyeka/Ndidi. Onyedika will provide the balance Iwobi lack in stamina, marking, passing, pace and shooting. No team can withstand Akor, Osimhen, Simon and Chukwueze/Lookman breathing down its neck. Onyedika is the key to this formation. Dele can also play the role

Chelle is not that coach.. i know a lot of people will crucify me for this but he is not that coach. Yes he tried to get us out of the shii we were and he did his best.
But He is not technically sound

A coach who couldnt spot that lookman is match rusty wouldnt know what to do with a player like uche, so im not suprised. Right from the first match lookman played for us during his issues with his club i saw he was out of form and needed to rest. But nope caoch was only using APOTY to keep playing him.
Meanwhile chukwueze who he experimented Vs Jamaica showed signeds but he kept benching him.
If not for lookman double yellow card we wont be here with WC hope today

FATE& LUCK saved chelle Not his technical ability.

@the bolded, this is true. That flash chuks showed against Jamaica was a free expo but don’t know why the coach didn’t utilise that going forward after that tournament

Chrisantus has lungs for days, has crazy work rate and covers lots of the ground, He's also difficult to shake off the ball and dispossess legally. Also, chips in with a few goals. These attributes lend credence to his best position being a Box-to-Box midfielder.

However some coaches, especially the older generation prefer positional midfielders and do not fancy Box to Box players. To them, box to box means jack of all trades, and master of none. Their thinking is you must either be a DM, AM, DLPM etc

I suspect Chelle is that kinda coach, and that's the reason he doesn't fancy Chrisantus and hasn't given him ample minutes.

Nwabali is good. But the criticisms over his antics in the last game vs Lesotho are justified. I dont mean over-the-top criticisms but sound criticism. He almost cost us.

But all the same. He is a big presence in the dressing room and still our number 1. Losing both parents is a blow so I can relate from a clinical and psychological POV.

And this is partly why I dont want to hear any funny talks of Aniagboso right now near where we have Nwabali and Okoye.

Nwabali is tested, trusted but needs to be careful going forward. No more unnecessary antics. The cleansheet vs Benin will do good for his proper show of confidence and composure.
Nwabali is not beyond criticism.
But people can be malicious.

I did a deeper profile study on Christantus Uche over the past week as well and I am very convinced that he is needed badly in the Super Eagles midfield as a quality addition at CDM and CM most especially. He also excels in the CAM zones.

Uche in summary is a rock in his defensive half, a fox in the opponent's box, and a well rounded nine-tailed fox in midfield.

The lad's close ball control, on field vision, high technicality combined with good passing and his immense physicality makes him a proper Yaya Toure profile.

This guy will cover all midfield positions. The coaches should get him in as soon as possible.

He is not a specialist MF like Onyedika, Iwobi and co who specialises in certain midfield roles to excel but he is a lad who looks pretty comfortable across all midfield positions due to his ability to combine his beastly physical profile with his high end technical profile.

I used to think we just have a Rodri-like profile in Uche but I am now further convinced we have a Yaya Toure profile in Uche.

Onyedika is our Busquets/Rodri-profile.
As seen above in 2024☝️

Poor man? I dont think so. At 21, he has all it takes to rise to that sort of player. He is an exact Yaya Profile. Bigger potentially than a Poor man's standards.

I believe I was the first to point out Uche's Yaya Profile traits.

Where was Yaya at 21?? He was in Belgium. At 22, Yaya was in Ukraine.

At 23, Yaya was in Greece. At 24, he was at Monaco in Ligue 1.

He joined Barca at 25. And then made his move to Man City at 28 and Boom!!! Yaya's Legend was formed at City!

Uche at 21 is still very young and has time on his hands. But Chelle has to figure out quickly what we in here already know. Uche is our Box to Box Weapon.

Exactly. A poor man yaya toure

Ur first statement sums up chelle coaching intents and his exploits in Mali 🇲🇱 …he is not really after controlling games but creating a lot of scoring opportunities hence most times winning d match .he always love to score enough goals in a match..d match against Benin 🇧🇯 and Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 at home is very identical,Dts aw he loves to play

D only difference btw d two matches is dt we didn’t come to party during Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 but we created a lot of scoring chances
