Today as I was cooking free food for the vulnerable and homeless people on the street of Lagos like I always do, some uniform men came there, harassed me, bullied me and took away the food I was cooking, took away my cooking gas and everything I was making free food with.

My only offense was serving love on a plate through my healthy meals.

I am not a chef and I do not cook to sell.

Why would anyone take to the streets to start cooking without authorization? Would the food taste any different if it were prepared in your home?

If your intention was truly humanitarian and not for clout, you could have achieved the same purpose by seeking permission from the authorities or cooking the meals at home.

We must all learn to do things the right way and stop playing the victim when the law catches up with us for our own wrongdoing.
