It's being implemented in style, salary thresholds have gone up, Immigration skills charge for sponsors has gone up by over 30%, which will make it difficult for more companies to sponsor, and the medium skills list category can be wiped out or reviewed by the end of 2026. All these will ensure that not many will make it to either the finish line of 5 years or 10 years.

BTW I read a report last month about how Xi is increasingly becoming wary and paranoid of the returnees from esp the UK and the USA....

That some of them (well many of them) have been recruited as spies and they are very paranoid about hiring them in key positions

It got me thinking of Nigeria
And how many people in key positions are alresfy recruited by foreign powers and Nigeria doesnt know

Or who knows ?
Nigerian govt may have covertly sent some of us who jaapa undercover to become spies here on behalf of the Nigerian govt

After the 10yr limit is implemented and people don't feel their lives are better, houses don't get cheaper, wages don't shoot up, there is still road traffic or NHS still has problems, then folks would turn around and still blame new migrants for their woes narrating how migrants of 2020-2025 were true contributors. 15yrs perhaps or a complete stop to citizenship by naturalisation might be be the next call. Afterall, Saudi Arabia does xyz.

The main thing that'd stop this rally would be if it's shown to affect the economy
