adamkkk:How much was it in October 2022 when minimum wage was 30k? How much was it in October 2014 when minimum wage was 18k? This information would help us figure out if we are better off or worse off in Tinubu’s renewed hopelessness administration. Deltafirstson:Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC January 19, 2015 The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70. On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price. But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”. It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel. https://www.thecable.ng/petrol-never-cost-n70-per-litre-says-apc/ Buhari’ll reduce petrol to N40/L —David-West |

twilliamx:Are you even more shocked that the same bag of rice was 9k in 2015 when minimum wage was 18k? Why do you think that everything has become worse since Tinubu made his expired soldier president in 2015 ![]() thisweekng:>> >> >> May 1, 2025 May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity real— Tinubu According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.” On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe. Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2025/05/may-day-hunger-unemployment-insecurity-real-tinubu/ |

Typical Nigeria always. No means to preserve them. Soon, the price will go up when they're not available. |

This news is unnecessary. If it was cheap tomatoes that can be understandable. But pepper that you only need little to add to food. |

5k or 500 naira? I don't use pepper much. They are boosted or GMO (would even find black seeds inside). Just use small or it would change your digestive system. |

Elliotwaveforec:Most yes, but a few like me don't. And rodo is a minor when it comes to saying food is getting cheaper. Why not use yam, potato, Palm oil, veggies, the almighty eggs that will actually add nutrients especially to young kids as example. |

faceland:Carrots can be preserved - all vegetables. You just don't have the preservation system. I remember eating a two months old slice of watermelon at a time. Kept fresh. Could stay longer than that. |

adamkkk:That's a great bargain. Research how to dehydrate your bounty in the sun or machine and grind and turn into spice granules. You have enough there in the pic to last for many months. Those peppers also freeze well. Enjoy Mr. Chef.👨🏾🍳👩🏽🍳 |
