Yesterday, I plugged my fridge when phcn restored light. When they took it off, I mistakenly forgot I had my fridge still connected.

Immediately I connected the switch over to Solar, the inverter started making a sharp dotted noise. I ran and disconnected the fridge.

Later this morning, I noticed the light from my bulb was blinking or flickering at intervals.

Please what can I do to rectify the flickering issue?
I don't know if it's the battery causing the flickering or the inverter.
What should I do 😔

Have you waited for sun to recharge the lost power the fridge drained from the battery? If after heavy sunlight and the inverter didn't show symbol of being charged or optimally charged, contact a solar technician to help you reset the inverter. That drain might make the inverter go into reset.

Just wait for sun to rise and check the light in evening time . Because you have already drained the battery.

U made a very big mistake , one my fridge is permanently disconnected from my solar, I got to know that light is on or off through my fridge socket, so try this before you destroy your batteries

What's the capacity of your inverter and battery.
It's very possible that your inverter is only used for lighting and phone charging, if that's the case then battery had been drained completely.
You will have to wait for sun or grid to help recharge back to normal.

Another possible scenario:Inverter capacity is very low to your fridge hence the fridge has damaged the inverter.

I believe strongly the former reason is the case.

Change those bulbs. They were probably damaged.

How many watts inverter, check if Fan, sound system or Tv, is working with it. If not, You probably overloaded the inverter, making a Capacitor to fail or one of the MosFets (Transistor) to also Fail(Shunting). Capacitors swell up when they fail. I have experienced both failures and fixed it.

What type of inverter are you using? In some inverters, you need to toggle the frequency to 60HZ and then return it to 50Hz to stop that flickering.

Igbt is insulated gate bipolar transistor used mostly for welding machines. Inverters use Mosfets.

And have you reset the inverter?
Draining causes resetting of inverter.
Learned this from an ex.

Okay...so previously you weren't using Solar to power the fridge bah?.....a case of smaller KVA system, but AC light that came on confused you and the solar system carried the fridge

Now the possible issue is .....the inverter carried an overload. You know.... start-up voltage of fridge, House Ac are high unlike fan and some other appliances. So because of high start-up voltage, the inverter might have burned.

Wait for sunshine today and see if it can get recharged(the battery).....but if it doesn't, then the control unit of the inverter has burned.

Solution.....take the inverter back to the company if there warranty still covers it, they will repair it for free.

I'm into Solar tho.....if it's SMS inverter.....I can give you contact of inside person in the company

It's too early to fully recharge the drain. Let proper sun hit the panel. And you shouldn't be using the bulbs in the morning unless your room is dark.

show the image of your inverter and battery..
or state their capacities?
disconnect load from solar...wait for some charge till 1pm today...then try again.

let me not conclude..but inverter seem to be a sachet inverter, or dead battery.
either way...nothing is damaged yet.

This is a proper installation.
Whatever heavy appliance he doesn't want on the solar should have been disconnected from that junction box or whatever it is called.

Imagine if he wasn't home. He should look into it after fixing this issue.
