Sugarboyy:I dont understand this una arguement oh. But the greatest Nigeria male footballer is KANU NWANKWO but if u want to judge with goals in national team its YEKINI. The greatest Nigeria Female footballer is OSHOALA but is u want to Judge with Goals in national team then is NKWOCHA. My point is the bases for judgement should be consistent if we want to Use individual archievement or collective archivement. |

Sing as much as we may; most of us make points not on current state but on retrospect. If Remo had won, a lot of noise would have been made on the quality of the stadium and the seeming tactical nous of Coach Ogunmodede (which are partially true). The era after 3SC penalty loss to Zamalek in the 1996 Champions Cup(later CAF Champions league) was marked by immense trouncing of our teams representing us that even Enyimba was knocked out by Asec Mimosas of Cote D'Ivoire in its first attempt in 2002. More than half of the team was retained with some reinforcements the next season leading to the 2003 triumph but this time with the right blend of Coach, players and financial backing/morale booster by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu's regular presence on matchday. However talent discovery was key irrespective of the previous club the person starred for. Like I said there was no huge fund stashed for this project's achievement as even the Enyimba fans also contributed immensely financially. Street leagues, Intra State tourneys, InterSeco dary School competitions years before their emergence all formed the basis of Enyimba's triumph. In another development, Chijioke Aniagboso who many think is not ripe for Eagles yet kept another clean sheet while Stanley NWABALI and his team posted another poor performance and are at the bottom of the South African PSL. We will keep watching. |

forgiveness:You don't have any time worthy of notice not only when you quote me out of context. Read through my prior and latter posts and the consistent message is we should talk about contributions shelving tribe aside and placing excellence first. Never was it implied that we is a tribe as no tribe won gold, silver or bronze but a nation called NIGERIA . |

Cocony:Since you have an issue with the 12 year timeline, what timeline would you prefer to use to make a comparison? Choose any that best illustrate your point cause we'll still arrive at the same conclusion. Of course I'm aware rankings change, but since you insist at grasping at straws, were they ranked in the top 10 at the material time the transfers took place? None of the league represented in your list was ranked in the Top 10 in Europe when said players moved save Uche who didn't even play for Udinese. Again, validating my point. |

NIGHTMARE0O7:Sorry, to me Nigeria greatest male footballer is by far Okocha and not Kanu. All over the world, ex footballers recognises Okocha while some current footballers also recognises him as their football mentor. Even recently, I think Zico picked him as Africa greatest ever. I remember when they were both active, there were always anxiety whenever Okocha wasn't playing either for club or for country but there was never a time Kanu was the go to man both for country and all the club's he ever played for. |

I am afraid we don't have a solid Central midfielder in our team currently. Iwobi is not a central midfielder and he lacks traits of an AMF. It's been long I followed our players abroad because of the way people want to dominate the team through the back door despite not adding anything to the team. However, since I watched Chelsea matches, rI will recommend Chukwumeka who is better Central midfielder and AMF than what we have currently. I will begin to scout from henceforth. We must go world cup but we can't play playoff with Ndidi and Iwobi. Ndidi not good like before again. |

Cocony:Why cite secondary sources when you can easily cite the primary source. This is UEFA's own ranking website, you're free to pull up a screenshot showing any of the other 3 leagues being ranked top 10 when those transfers took place. https://www.uefa.com/nationalassociations/uefarankings/country/?year=2013 Again this conversation is needless as this isn't even the crux of the argument, but I'll indulge you anyways. |

lovewins:The Italian and Turkish leagues were in the top 10. For want of time I would have unearthed other transfers as you specified top 10leagues which for me is a restriction designed to promote your point(nice effort though) but same cannot be applied in determining who you call up to the National team at that said time. The crux of the argument was the matter of talent pool which I have already stated that we had and still do have but we don't have the right coaches to unearth them. Take the 2005 U20 and the 2008 and 2016 U203as case studies. Samson Siasia especially in 2016 took his time touring the country and scouting for players and it showed in their playing style in the u23 AFCON 2015 which they won as well as the 2016 Olympic Bronze. The problem in the aftermath of the 2016 Bronze was seeming lack of continuity. You need a good coach who knows his onions to go round and unearth players for the National team. Etebo, Seth Sincere, and Azubuike Okechukwu were discovered from here. |

BankyGee:🤣🤣🤣🤣 To be honest, the keeper wasn't terrible. It's just the defense was godawful. Sometimes when I think about Nigerian football, I just wonder like, what's the point? If Nigeria was a football club, I'd have quit supporting them ages ago. Unfortunately I'm doomed as a citizen to keep hoping for the best for a country that doesn't even wish herself well. |

Congratulations Morocco. The main reason I'm so happy for their victory is that they've taken away Ghana's bragging rights of being the only African nation to ever do it. Come to think of it, how did we lose so heavily to these same Argentina? Morocco just demystified them. |

QueenJazz:I swear. The defending for that third goal was so terrible, how will you as a defender use your back heel to keep the ball in play for an opposing attacker and keep walking behind him instead of to "try" to recover? I weak. Flamingos wey I use confidence wan go use hold body too go swallow 4. 🙆🏾♂️ |

forgiveness:I will never be in support of dual nationality players crashing the party only when its convenient for them to do so. It's opportunistic, parasitic and could spoil team chemistry and cause disunity in the squad. I recall this same dude was asked about playing for Nigeria 2 years ago, and he said, (I paraphrase) "at the moment I'm focused on playing for England but lets see what the future holds which is a subtle way to turn us down. The guy no even better pass Iwobi for AM. Iwobi is a better orchestrator and passer. The issue with Iwobi is wrong deployment, midfield partnerships and formation by our National team coaches which negatively impacts on his output. We can do without him. Between Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika, Wilfred Ndidi, Fisayo Dele Bashiru, Chrisantus Uche, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Alhassan Yusuf, Anthony Dennis and even Samuel Chukwueze we have enough players to cover in midfield. Any dual national who wants to play for Nigeria should do like Ashleigh Plumptre, Alex Iwobi, Cyriel Dessers, Ademola Lookman, William Troost-Ekong etc and come out to declare their interest with their full chest, not use Nigeria as Plan B. If they didn't declare interest and commitment when the work was being done, they shouldn't benefit from it by going to the world cup. Make hin wait until after the world cup when the next AFCON qualifiers will begin, no be now. |
