Iwobi is head and shoulders above Chukwuemeka .
I don't think so if CMF in regards to cmf position.

Opinion that is off tangent is no opinion at all. Carney Chukwuemeka cannot come in and uplift our midfield simply because he is not available to us. The lad is still English and would require change of allegiance and most importantly, his heart is more with England.

Update yourself on our true available options so we can have a feasible discussion and not fantasies talk.
Are you in Chukwuemeka to ascertain he can switch allegiance?

Was there ever a time he completely shut the doors to play for SE?

This your opinion is the epitome of off tangent because it doesn't make sense and doesn't proves anything.

According to FIFA rules and Chukwuemeka's status, he is still available to play for Nigeria as at today. Stop fo.oling around with your watery opinion.

where a player plays doesn’t matter 😏
It matters. Where you play, determines your mentality. As for GKs the quality of the strikers you face will determine how you react. In the play offs we may likely face Mbeumo, Yohan Wissa, Aubameyang, Etta Eyoung, Bounga, Cedric Berkambu etc. the quality of their shots will be different from that of Lesotho and even Benin Strikers. We cannot have a goal keeper from Chippa United as Super Eagles first choice when Morroco are having Bouno, Ivory coast are Yahia Fofana, Cameroon Onana, Senegal are parading Mendy.

This argument is funny so just kill it. There are angles to consider. When Ghana came to Abuja and won the 2022 WC ticket, remind me again where their GK at the time was playing. Jojo Wollacott. Where did he play prior to that crucial game?

If we went by where a player plays 100%, even Benjamin Frederick wont be in the Super Eagles today.

Okoye just returned. Let things take shape. Not cho cho cho.

To be honest u will pick Nwabali and even adebayo adeleye over an inconsistent onana
If onana was a Nigerian this is how some people will say he should keep for us. Where a player olayes is not always a determinant. Not everyone will have the opportunity to get good clubs

I hope FIFA/CAF will deploy VAR or the Video Support System for the CAF WC playoffs in Morocco, as Morocco has the infrastructure for the technology.

The last thing we would want to see are more legit goals being wrongly ruled out for offside..

The claim that the duo of Okocha and Oliseh spoon-feed Yekini and thus the reason for his goals doesn't hold up to scrutiny,Ogbeni.

The fact shows that Yekini had already scored 20 goals in the National Team before either Okocha or Oliseh made their debut.

Let's leave this narrative and move on,abeg.
While I may not use the word spoon feed, Oliseh and the entire team played for Rashidi

Maybe you have fi.sh brain to have forgotten quickly how there were heated debates regarding Lookman. Na reason you and your cohorts called me names but today shame still never catch una.

Iwobi will still need to catch up with "retired" Dele Ali's record.

It baffles me you are even comparing.

Saka vs Chuks!!!! Mtcheeeew! Are you still debating thar?

Most of you are supporting players based on where they come from but with nothing to show for.

No doubt I talked about some of those aforementioned players at a point they were just coming up but una thinks say na prejudice. Now, tell me some of them had bad career.

Josh Maja!!!? I never stick my neck out for him though. He was average. So stop being mischievous by mentioning few players I supported.

Maybe you were a toddler when the debate between Solanke and Iheanacho was hot here. Ask your masters here they will tell you except shame dey catch them.

I rated Awoniyi ahead of Osimhen!!!? Really!? Are you trying to impress to gain supporters? This is In your dreams. All those crap you conjure blah blah Origi.......cooked false accusation is from your wildest imagination. Not from me.

Onuachu with 25 caps and over 700 minutes in Se scored only 3 goals. Nevertheless, I told you I have not been following Nigerian players recently. So, what is your point?
You make too much out of tribal sentiments all the time.

I have been on this thread long enough to know that contributors make their contributions and support for players based on tribal affiliation.

Where was Enyeama as at 2002? He was at Enyimba, go and check his performance against England at Korea/Japan world cup.

Either this Nwabali goes to therapy or Chelle replaces him with Okoye for the time being. He's a ticking time bomb waiting to happen. I just pray that the day he finally blows up, it won't be during competitive games like the playoffs, AFCON, or in a World Cup game (if we make it).

1)Enyeama was at Enyimba, yes a team that topped and was topping a competitive Nigerian League at the time for which the South African league paled in comparison then on the Continental front.
2)Enyeama's first game if I am not mistaken was in a 3:0 friendly against Kenya, then maybe against Jamaica(correct me if Jamaica was not inclusive) and afterwards the 3rd match against England(0:0) after we had been eliminated via a 1;0 loss to Argentina and a 2:1 loss to Sweden previously.
3) Enyeama from his debut all through the qualifiers for the 2004 AFCON never put up silly performances nor exhibited seeming attitudinal issues and was very instrumental after the World Cup in Enyimba's back to back continental triumphs. Same cannot be said for Stanley NWABALI.

I stated earlier that Willy Okpara had won a trophy with and for Orlando pirates in 1995/96. That therefore was not in doubt but where were their Clubs in 2002-2005 seasons?

Once upon a time a certain Willy Okpara left the shores of Nigeria to become the Number One man at Orlando Pirates and was instrumental in the Club and by extension South African Club first African Triumph. You are on point my brother and that is why I still maintain he is subpar. That someone is subpar does not mean the person cannot improve or go to greener pastures
Willy Okpara played for ACB Lagos from 1987 to 1989 before moving to South African side Orlando Pirates. Okpara was the club's first choice goalkeeper from 1990 to 2002, losing his place to Congolese goalkeeper Michel Babale during 2002–03 season, then becoming an understudy to Thabang Radebe and Francis Chansa before retiring in 2005. He holds the record of Pirates' appearances with 375 matches, and is also the club's longest serving player. He was part of the 1995 CAF Champions League winning team.

The 2002 CAF Champions League was the 38th of the CAF Champions League, the Africa's premier club football tournament prize organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Zamalek of Egypt defeated Raja Casablanca of Morocco in the final to win their fifth title.

You see this talk about Okoye coming to replace Nwabali for playoff, I totally understand but IMO, it's not advisable.

Okoye should be number 1 for Eagles today but what happened? Confidence and bad goalkeeping. While he may have improved for his club side, bringing him into the starting lineup suddenly might disrupt the momentum of the team. Moreso, we're not sure he has outgrown his jitters in NT colours.

But he should be called up, maybe Nwabali will sit up.

I understood what he wrote. When we clamored for Victor Moses to switch allegiance, this was exactly the reaction of peeps here. No he is not available blah blah blah.

The Bobo changed mind and switched Nationality to Nigeria. The rest is history.

He is available based on FIFA rule. Perhaps, you should say it SEEMS, he is not ready to play for us.

Enyeama was not the first choice at 2002 world cup, he played in a dead rubber match where there was no pressure. And England needed just a draw to confirm qualification.
Meanwhile, the mentality at Enyimba in 2002 is miles better than that of Chippa United. I am talking about psychology and winning mentality. By that time Enyimba was in a period where they are winning NPFL and CAF champions league. They faced Very good teams like Zamalek, Al Ahly, Esperance, USM Algiers etc.
If Nwabali is the first choice at Pirates or Sundown or Al Ahly or Pyramids then fine, these teams are always motivated to win, they are always at a pressure cooker moments and high stake matches. At Chippa united thats not the case, nothing much at stake, thats why Nwabali can easily misbehave, because he doesnt know how important games are by default.

When they got to the world cup and AFCON later, what did they do? They replaced him. They recognised that a goalkeeper in lowly competitive enviroment should not be their first choice.

A lot of people will argue that the forwards that we faced versus Cameroon, Angola and SA are not really top quality. Evidence Magcopa who started for SA only scored 1 goal for over 1 year and it was even a penalty. Magri, Nkoudou and Mounbagna are not worl d beaters.
When he faced Simon Adingra, Sabastine Haller, Nicolas Pepe who had a bit of a quality in the final he let in 2 questionable goals.
