Misinformation. The only reason Joseph Wollacott missed the 2022 world cup was a hand injury. They realised nothing because even recently their 1st choice GK is Benjamin Asare of Accra Hearts of Oaks. Coach Otto Addo prefers a Local GK ahead of Ati Zigi based in Europe (St Gallen in Switzerland). Also, he still calls Wollacott as one of his 3 GKs. So again cease the Cho Cho Cho and rest. Let things take shape naturally. CapitalCee: |

CapitalCee:To buttress your point he was loaned to Dender in Belgium and by way of ranking of leagues or quality of opposition the Belgian league is many years ahead of the South African league. The people bringing up the Fredricks case are making odious comparisons. |

quickberry:Their rise started in 2001 when they won the play offs(Super 4: ENYIMBA, NPA, GOMBE YNITED AND RANGERS INT'L). Some time later they embarked on an Italian playing tour where they lost 6:0 to Inter Milan and Ivan Zamorano played against Enyimba. |

quickberry:A team that won back to back league title in Nigerian league in the early 2000s are not elite? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Nigerian teams are some of the best in Africa at that time. For Enyimba to win the Nigeriam league that time back to back they are elite. And in any case Enyeama was not the first choice GK in 2002 na. He only became first choice in around 2004 when Enyimba was dominating African football. His fellow Team mates at that time where even Super Eagles players already. So Enyeama wasnt just lifted from No where. |

Oga pls if you dont know something, kindly rest it. Enyeama did struggle with crosses in the GWG. This is common knowledge. CapitalCee: |

quickberry:Thats the same point i was making. So he has the right ingredients to make the SE squad albeit not the first choice. Nwabali lacks that as his team is not competing anywhere near the top |

quickberry:As at 2002, Enyimba already won back to back leagues in a more competitive Nigerian league. At that time he was not even the first choice. Ike Shorommu was. He only became first choice when his team were dominating Africa |

TheSuperNerd:My point still stands Enyeama might be fumbling crosees a few times but he was solid most times even during his early days in SE. The mainpoint we are debating here is that Enyeama was in team where winning was the focus. Unlike Nwabali QED. |

quickberry:Do every one a favour: produce Enyeama's videos of his 1st 4 Super Eagles appearances to prove the truth you think you are telling while I will try to get Ejide's 1st 4matches videos from the match against NAMIBIA in 2001(if I am not mistaken) so as to find out who fumbled with crosses early; since you don't want to agree with what CapitalCee prove to you that where you play matters as well as the quality of opposition you face and I will lastly add the quality of Coaching you receive. The videos can be from today onwards peradventure we have work to attend to. Not a must today alone. |

TheSuperNerd:Look at you. Wollacot was the GK for most of the world cup qualifying campaing becauss Richard Ofori of Orlando Pirates was injured in 2021. During the world cup Wollacot was injured but was included in the squad. By AFCON 2023, he was the 3rd choice GK behind Ofori and Ati Zigi. As for Benjamin Asare their current Number 1. He has kept record number of clean sheets in Ghannian leagie with Hearts of Oak and they finished 3rd last season. In Heart of Oaks there is winning mentality. If Nwabali is performing for Hearts of Oaks like Asari i wont be worried. |

Cocony: Cocony: This is your standard for his "experience"; A tournament over a decade before his call to the NT.And a regular in the NPFL But Nwabali with NPFL games under his belt, AFCON showing; saving two penalties enroute to finals, and consistent showing in a better league than NPFL is who you're attacking ![]() |

quickberry:When you fumble you get warned and eventually replaced especially if you have a tactical Coach. Ask Westerhof after the 1st round of 1994 World Cup qualifiers why he brought in Wilfred Agbonavbare from Rayo Vallecano despite not CONCEDING a goal in the 4 matches played against SouthAfrica and Congo Brazzaville after being grouped against Algeria and Cote D'Ivoire in the 2nd Round of qualifiers and yet Alloy Agu, Peter Rufai and Ike Shorunmu did not man the post in the later 4qualifiers. |

Odunayaw:Which one on one saves did he make in Afcon? On 2 rare occasion when our tight defence allowed a one to one agaisnt him versus Guinea bissau and Angola, he was either saved by the bar or the ball went wide. The one on one he faced away to Benin in the world cup qualifiers he conceded. As for Penalties its anybodies game, evem though i will gove kudos to him |

CapitalCee: Quick one off my head is the group game against CIvAnother quick memory of wonderful reaction is an Angolan header in the early minutes of the game. Saying penalties is anybodies game before giving him kudos is disingenuous but go for gold
