Odunayaw:
cheesy Quick one off my head is the group game against CIv

Another quick memory of wonderful reaction is an Angolan header in the early minutes of the game.

Saying penalties is anybodies game before giving him kudos is disingenuous but go for gold
Those are nor one on one situation.

You talk too much misinformation. Like your fellow newbie Cocony. I can see why both of you showed up in this thread at the same time.

Wollacott was always Otto's preference heading to the 2022 WC and a hand injury happened. Wheee is Ofori now in the Black stars? Where?

Also, so now you want to color up Hearts of Oak as an elite club? Asare is local and that is the point. Ati Zigi is starring in the Swiss Super League and 100% defeats your silly argument of Europe >>> Local.

Now rest and eat the L.

CapitalCee:
Look at you. Wollacot was the GK for most of the world cup qualifying campaing becauss Richard Ofori of Orlando Pirates was injured in 2021. During the world cup Wollacot was injured but was included in the squad.
By AFCON 2023, he was the 3rd choice GK behind Ofori and Ati Zigi.

As for Benjamin Asare their current Number 1. He has kept record number of clean sheets in Ghannian leagie with Hearts of Oak and they finished 3rd last season. In Heart of Oaks there is winning mentality. If Nwabali is performing for Hearts of Oaks like Asari i wont be worried.

Enyeama waz never fumbling crossess in SE shirt. He was solid throughout his time in SE.
So you finally accept that Enyeama did fumble crosses as Super Eagles GK. Good. That is all. That is a wide shift from this post you dropped earlier ☝️😄

More proof that you hardly know what you are saying. Will block you too now. Like Cocony, like you.

CapitalCee:
My point still stands Enyeama might be fumbling crosees a few times but he was solid most times even during his early days in SE.

The mainpoint we are debating here is that Enyeama was in team where winning was the focus. Unlike Nwabali QED.

The only players that were part of both tournaments were:

1. Okocha
2. Kanu
3. Ike
4. Aghahowa
5. Babayaro
6. Udeze

When I say you did not really watch the matches you are proving me right.

So, how was it the commencement of the preparation for the world cup?

Even all the coaches were sacked
Taribo West
Justice Christopher
Isaac Okoronkwo
Garba Lawal
That added to the above makes them 10 and as a matter of fact NIGERIA'S Central defenders against Argentina and Sweden were Taribo West and Isaac Okoronkwo.
My dear quickberry you use Google to argue, you didn't watch nothing.

I think it should be clear to all by now that Cocony and CapitalCee are just the same. I silently raised eyebrows when I saw them walk into the thread at the same time using Super Eagles Calculations to gain attention. Unlike CAR321, who came in did his thing and pushes no agenda, these 2 clearly have agenda up their sleeves.
Anyway, I dont entertain their agenda for longer than necessary. They stay blocked and dead on arrival.

Sir,I don't have energy for front and back argument...am sorry but fact, have been watching eagles as Green eagles as far back as 1980 and from 1983 am able to know more about what's going on in the field of play, just to tell you that I will never support your argument based on Nwabali club status or league....I followed the NPFL traveling watching the league....Pls who was the first choice between Dele Aiyenugba and Vincent Enyeama when they met in Enyimba?

Pls define rookie for me

Yes Ezenwa was not regular in NPFLwhen he kept against Cameroon

If you read one of my posts yesterday, you will know the clear answer. Dele Aiyenugba was number 1 before Vincent Enyeama arrived from Ibom Stars and if I am not mistaken whilst (Vincent) concluding or is it studying Chemistry in Uyo. Dele Aiyenugba was Number 1 and was bought from Kwara Stars then. I think Kwara Stars were relegated and eventually folde

My brother, Ezenwa was not a newbie going into the game against Cameroun in 2017 on our way to 2018 WORLD CUP. After being part of the 2007 U20 TEAM BOTH AFCON AND THE WORLD CUP FOR U20s HE HAD BEEN A REGULAR IN THE NPFL.
YES ENYEAMA WAS NEW BUT NOT JITTERY AND WAS ALREADY TESTED IN A FRIENDLY AGAINST KENYA AND HAVING LOST OUT ON QUALIFICATION, THE RIGHT THING ANY COACH WILL DO IN HIS 3RD MATCH THAT WILL NOT CHANGE THE TURN OF EVENTS AS PER QUALIFICATION IS TO GRANT APPEARANCES TO SOME OF HIS PLAYERS. ENYEAMA WAS NOT JITTERY, COCKY NOR DID HE DISPLAY ARROGANCE TOWARDS ANY OF HIS CAPTAINS IN THE SUPER EAGLES.
Hmm,tested against Kenya in a friendly and ready for WC...my university coach discovered Vincent Enyeama,so I know much

Run away from the obvious in denial as much as you may: ANY CONSTRUCTIVELY CRITICAL THINKER AND ANALYST WILL DEDUCE THESE POINTS: HE HAD GOOD CLUB EXPERIENCE AS WELL AS A NATIONAL CAP WHERE HE DIDN'T CONCEDE A GOAL AND THE MATCH WAS A DEAD-RUBBER GAME.

So,nobody plays for Osimhen?

Which team doesn't play for its Strikers?
That's the point of saying Rashidi was spoon fed or like I said more appropriately the team played for him.

The current team has not really learnt to play to the strength of Osimhen. Our last match just gives a glimpse of what is possible when the team clocks in on doing so. I really don't know how the team and Rashidi rolled before 94 but at Afcon one can see that Oliseh particularly was instrumental to the goals Rashidi scored. We are yet to find such a supplier for Osimhen.

I'm must say that I'm not pitting Osimhen against Rashidi. I love the two of them because they are good strikers who love playing for the GWG.

The Russia friendly was a huge relief for some of us that Okoye was solid because who relies on one GK. I remember how cold sweat and chills came upon me when it seemed Nwabali was injured in the last group game at AFCON.

It is a good thing for us to have options in GK ready to go above and beyond. However must one be pulled down for another? Who do una this thing sef

We are actually talking about football ideas and perspectives.

You tagged the idea of leaning strictly to dominative play foolishness. Luis Enrique said he will rather lose instead of not playing football.

So you are tagging Enrique foolish. If you don't think he is foolish, it plugs a big hole in your argument.

Either this Nwabali goes to therapy or Chelle replaces him with Okoye for the time being. He's a ticking time bomb waiting to happen. I just pray that the day he finally blows up, it won't be during competitive games like the playoffs, AFCON, or in a World Cup game (if we make it).
Nwabali was a calm presence during Afcon. Why has he become so erratic, so abrasive and a drama queen? A significant part of the conversation during this international break dwelled on him. Is he reacting from the loss of his parents because without being told, that kind of loss can take a toll on a man. May God give him comfort.

Now the call is for Okoye to be given a chance. I don't see Chelle bending that way but if he does and Okoye puts up a good performance, Nwabali will be relegated to the bench.

Yes Ezenwa was not regular in NPFLwhen he kept against Cameroon
Let's start with Ikechukwu Ezenwa not being regular before the Cameroon match: Over a span of 3years he kept 61 matches for Heartland of Owerri, he left for Sharks and kept 45matches up till 2014. Moved to Sunshine Stars between 2014-2016 and like CapitalCee rightly stated he was with Ifeanyi Ubah between 2016-2017 where he kept 28matches.N IGERIA vs CAMEROUN 4:0 invitation came on the heels of his previous performances at youth level plus his consistency/regularity with the clubs he featured for. THESE ARE FACTS NOT STATEMENTS NEEDING SELF-PROCLAIMED EXPERTS TO VALIDATE.
I am still trying to recall if he was part of a Silver winning CHAN TEAM IN GHANA.

Ah yes! Strasbourg is. I even watched their last game vs PSG. The 3-3 draw. Enrique's young guns (coz Dembele was absent and Vitinha × Hakimi didnt play) vs Liam Rosenior's youngsters.

Strasbourg has arguably the youngest squad in the Top 5 leagues but they play like the elites. Liam Rosenior is doing quite a job there and every talent at that club is a must watch for me because it is like selecting some of the best youngsters in their positions and bringing them to Strasbourg.

TheGoodJoe, let me add too that Strasbourg is for me, like Chelsea's junior brothers in France. This is because Todd and Blueco, Owners of Chelsea also own Strasbourg.

This is why they could secure Emegha's signature ahead of next season. And Strasbourg already have Emegha's replacement firing on all cylinders this season, panichelli.

My brother, we or some of us are not pulling down NWABALI.
Have you asked yourself these:
1)Where was Chippa United after these same number of games last season?
2)Super Eagles fumbled earlier in the qualifiers and he was part of the fumbling and when a redemption song presented itself to be sang why was he "singing his own song" against Lesotho and Benin(a feat we would not have entertained years back when Lagos National Stadium hosts NIGERIA'S games) with wrong attitudes and the near miss for Lesotho that would have made it 2:2?
3)Have we gone so low as a Nation that we support decay just because the source once tasted like honey and we call it a phase?
There is room for therapy, mind you not only Maduka did well, Aniagboso did well also in Europe so thinking we are pulling him down is erratic rather he should not pull us down with inconsistencies that might eventually cost us the WORLD CUP PLAYOFFS TICKET.
ONCE UPON A TIME OKOYE TO ME FELT LIKE SHIT NOT NECESSARILY THE TUNISIA 1:0 SECOND ROUND LOSS BUT THE 4:4 DRAW WITH SIERRA LEONE IN OUR OWN BACKYARD AND SO IT IS NOT AS IF HE IS OUR FAVE.
OF THE LOT WE HAVE, HE HAS IMPROVED AND FACED STERNER TESTS WHEN COMPARED WITH NWABALI AND THAT HAS BEING AND STILL IS MY POINT.

Semid4lyfe, Correct my assumption: A THREAD TAGGED SUPER EAGLES SHOULD DISCUSS SUPER EAGLES AND POSSIBLE PLAYERS FOR SUPER EAGLES.
LIKEWISE, A THREAD FOR EUROPEAN CLUBSIDES HAVE BEEN EXISTING ON NAIRALAND FOR MANY YEARS NOW.

ONE OF YOUR RULE TALKS ABOUT POSTING RIGHT INFORMATION ON THE WRONG SECTION WHILST ANOTHER TALKS ABOUT FALSE INFORMATION AND DERAILING OF THREADS.
IN FAIRNESS TO LAID DOWN NAIRALAND RULES LOOK INTO THE MATTER OF ADDRESSING ME AND CAPITALCEE AS SAME, AS WELL AS COMMENTING ON EUROPEAN CLUBS OR COACHES THAT DO NOT HAVE A DIRECT BEARING ON SUPER EAGLES PAST, PRESENT OR FUTURE.
