Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa and Cross River states have cultural affinity with Igbos. They have lived together for ages before the break out of the civil war in late 1960s.

The Midwest (now Edo and Delta) have rejected inclusion into southwest. They saw shege as part of Western region in '60s.

Yes, the Eastern Region bit doesn't quite gel. Leave the geopolitical zones as they currently are in the South. No time to waste. The Middle Belt part may need some realignment later.
No new states. Reduce the FG's exclusive list DRASTICALLY to Currency/Central Banking, Foreign affairs, Interior as it it applies nationally/Federal Police for interstate offences, immigration, Supreme Court and military/Defence but more decentralised and a few more critical matters.

Much of policing, local infrastructure, education, health, employment and others go to regions. Abolish states and introduce districts/Local Councils/mayors to be at the heart of local development. No commissioners, SSAs/SAs and thousands of political jobbers. Cut parastatals and useless Board of this and Board of that, this and that Authority. That will cut the waste.

Each region can operate their own preferred legal system. Some can forbid alcohol, pork and hotels if they feel those are their biggest problem.

Igbos are the worst. These states you mentioned would be the last to accept inclusion with the Igbos. Yes Igbos were with them before the war and before the leadership of the East was handed over to them. Before the leadership was handed to them Igbos were as cool as a kitten. Whatever Wike and Amaechi said is inconsequential as long as the larger Ikwere people are concerned. The ikwere have been very open about their igboness and have warned against people like you trying to play divisive games on who they are.

Go to Abia State, there's a place in Aba around Umuogele where you will find lots of akwa Ibom people who have mixed with the Igbo so much you will not even know whether you're in Akwa ibom or Abia State... I know that history was not taught to you in school, but the igbos and Ibibio, annang and Efik people have always intermixed via marriage, trade and culture pre colonial times and up till today. Animosity between the Ibibio, Efik, Oron, Annang people and the Igbos only exists on the minds of Southwesters, all these people will rather go with the Igbo than with the Yoruba or any of ethnicity across the Niger.

It was because zik insisted on secession being a treasonable offense that our independence was delayed by 4 years. Everybody else wanted the right to secede. We don’t have it because of you. We had referendum, ironsi removed it. The North was ready to secede after the counter coup of 1966. It was when the British ambassador informed the Northern coupists that "why do you want to secede when Ironsi has given you power over the whole country" that they realised that the kind of power Ironsi had abrogated to the Ibos when he was Head of state that they now stood to inherit that they jettisoned the idea of secession.

Whatever problems you find yourselves in Nigeria today are of your own making, due to your lack of foresight, your covetous nature, your desire to dominate others and your inability to see beyond your noses. All the things you claim you want (which I don’t believe because your actions suggest otherwise) you had and you reversed it.
