The way you oldies praise this 1994 set is tiring, I've been on Nairaland going for fifteen years now every time I come online before I read ten comments I must read something related to the 1994 set you guys have besieged these sports sections just like they have besieged the glass house that any coach the NFF hires if he doesn't play like the 1994 set or handle issues like they time they criticism him.

Apart from Stephen Keshi and to a long extent Samson sia sia what has the 1994 set contributed to our football is it Okocha that almost ruin delta state football or Sunday oliseh that almost destroy the super Eagles, or let's talk about ikpeba that is destroying Nigerian youth with his bet9ja nonsense, I don't even want to mention that one that almost ruin our world cup hope.

What did they achieve which have not been done, they won the Nations Cup and reached the knockout stage didn't the 2013 set equal the record what is so special about them that we will not hear a word?
Make una see me see wahala oo. I praised Oliseh as an individual player. It could well have been Odegbami or Muda Lawal but I didn't watch those guys. How did you now stretch my praise of Oliseh to mean praise of the 94 set? This heat, e no come too much?

My post was inspired by a post I saw on X about our possible all time best 11 oo. Abeg oo.

Morocco strikes again!!!

PSV's starting LB who also featured in PSV's 6-2 thrashing of Napoli last night has completed his switch of allegiance from Netherlands to Morocco.

Anass Salah-Eddine is now an Atlas Lion. 23yrs LB.

Damn! Morocco have been in need of a Quality LB upgrade and they just got it in addition to Utrecht's El Korauni. No more RB, Mazraoui playing as a makeshift LB too. My maroc boys no dey rest at all. Lol

Well, to be fair, Nigeria also recently recruited Felix Agu.
Just wondering.. Could he be related to the Sallah-Edine brothers at Arsenal.

The level of his club performance has dropped by what standard? You watch him

A transfer to a better club is moot, that can be applied to your faves to see how moot it is. And who expects a GK to "help" a whole club away from mid table status?
I have no faves. I cherish a disciplined team with players that are of high repute and can stand their own against star players. CIV exposed him at the last AFCON and he has not been exceptional even with seeming help from our defenders. Goalkeepers do help club avoid relegation status(that is the current state of Chippa United) however that is not the subject even though I have ample evidences.

He got a knock in the first half, even had to be attended to on the pitch, but still played in the second half until he asked to be subbed.

What manner of player is this Osimhen? This energy, this passion, this commitment.

It fills me with admiration and fear. Fear that he will burn out cos I can't comprehend the gusto with which this mad man plays football.

I've never seen an attacker like Osimhen oo. And I've seen attackers but this guy is one of a kind.

He is playing RWB today as Slavia features their normal 3 man backline and held his own superbly vs Ademola Lookman. They came up against each other one on one on the wing and it was always a big battle.

He is still on the pitch while Lookman has been subbed out for Sulemana.

TheSuperNerd:
A chance to watch David Moses in midfield against much tougher opposition today. Been following his progress in the Czech Liga.

Yep, that's him below.

Osihmen and Victor Moses will make this starting line-up; Moses can contend with the wingers for a starting place.

David Moses has been finally subbed off on 68mins and the CBS commentator says, "he's had a really good game" and personally, I agree. He was superb as a RWB for one who is a natural central defensive midfielder.

Not me o, dude is one of the best that ever won the GWG. He was the X-Factor in our 2013 Afcon win. So much was expected of him, and he delivered when he was needed most

Like someone rightly said, our defensive depth is so poor. Zaidu is an average left back but he is way better than Bruno. Bruno is very poor. I have seen Agụ play, I was not impressed. I wonder why our coach doesn't want to give Torunarigha a chance in that left back.

Another very poor defender we have is Osayi Samuel. I think our coach should try talking to Kayode of Brentford.

By the way, those of you who have been following Besiktas games, how good has been Uduokhai? He would not be a bad short-term back up to Bassey.

He doesn’t have that usual African bulky-player look, but he makes up for it with smart runs, great positioning, and tackles that always come at the right moment.…stuffs I av noticed about agus game

Genuine question:

Has there ever been a moment in time where we had a balanced team? I feel like when we solve an issue at one position (e.g. the goalkeeping crisis a few years back) another one pops up.
