One , I don’t believe the story . It looks cooked. Two ,I doubt the daughter could just abandon her step dad if they truly bonded . Three, paying for stuff doesn’t mean there is a relationship . The child might have been sent to boarding schools and obviously abroad to universities .

This is a fabricated story. First and foremost, no child, especially a female child that's not legitimately a child of another Man would be so mean to forget who raised her. If such case happens, Karma would definitely strike the child. My prayers is always that I don't want to raise children that I would depend on in my Old age. It's not permissable to assume or change the name of a child that is not yours to your own name on the assumption that you raised him or her. Prophet Muhammad was commander to desist from calling his adopted child his son. Every child has his or her father and they should bear their father's name not their adopted father's name.
