GOV OYEBANJI THANKS PRESIDENT TINUBU OVER GENERAL OLUYEDE’S APPOINTMENT AS CDS

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has expressed profound gratitude to the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of General Olufemi Oluyede as Chief of Defence Staff.

General Oluyede, who hails from Ikere-Ekiti, was until the new appointment the Chief of Army Staff.

Governor Oyebanji, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Yinka Oyebode, in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, hailed General Oluyede’s appointment as a welcome development.

Specifically, the Governor thanked the President for recognizing the exemplary qualities of the Ikere-Ekiti-born General and for entrusting him with such a strategic position.

Governor Oyebanji said the new CDS epitomizes the core values of courage, integrity and loyalty for which Ekitis are known, adding that he possesses a high level of integrity and professionalism required to make a success of the new assignment being given to him by the President.

The Governor expressed confidence in General Oluyede’s ability to excel in his new role, describing him as a gallant officer with proven track record of accomplishments in his illustrious military career.

He urged the new CDS to leverage his extensive experience and expertise, in charting a new direction for the military, particularly during this critical period.

“The Government and the people of Ekiti State are grateful to the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for General Oluyede’s appointment. We wish him success in this new assignment and pledge our unalloyed support for him.”

Eye service up and down. Abeg, don't distract these young officers by your nepotical ambiance. They have jobs to do and yet to even commence the jobs. We aren't sure they would succeed even though we pray they succeed. There's nothing wonderful or appreciative to show for employing you to do your job as excellent as possible. Busybodies should stop henceforth praising these officers and allow them not get distracted or become a favourite to a governor or a politician.......

Unnecessary thank U. It has nothing to do with Ekiti. There's no direct benefit foe Ekiti. He is serving Nigeria not Ekiti.
Cheap tribalism

As a Yoruba man i love as Tinubu is gaining major post to yorubas but the problem worn my people if it’s other tribe doing this Nigeria will be in a big problem from this same problem even as Hausas ant not complaining now and history can never be teased
