Good day nairalnaders. I'm a guy studying in a university in Ilorin. Current, I have 100k that I want to use to start a business. After so much consideration and pondering, I decided to venture into selling of phone accessories. Right now, I am planning to meet people who are into the business to guide me and give me the overall insight of the business before I kick start it.

I need your support in term of advice on the cons and pros of this business.
Peradventure, if I can get a mentor in Ilorin or from where I can get my goods at a cheaper price.
I know the money is small but I don't want to wait until I have huge amount of money b4 I start

I also need strategies on how to boost my sales

You're a student - try to get the number of everybody in your department/hostel 😝 - store their number and sweet mouth them to save yours too so they can be seeing your status.

Your target audience and customers are in school. Go around and fins people who are already doing the phone accessories business and also sell UK used phones - tell them you will like to be advertising for then, and that they should give you their last price for the products they have then add a small margin for your profit (i.e 10 - 15%).

Take pictures and videos, start posting on your status steady - this way you don't get to invest money in procuring the items just yet - this way you fan test if the business will be viable in your environment - once e pick well, your new commission and current savings will allow you do direct purchase and sales(no do middle man for personal sales sha - property might be stolen - make sure you personally test anything you want to sell too from the vendors - and have a rapport so that they give atleast 1 week warranty on any product you help them sell).

hope it won't affect your academics, why don't you focus on things your school mates need that you can sell, me my best advice to you would have been that you forget about business and start with buying a laptop at least a refurbished on somewhere like Shopinverse.com then you can learn coding or help your classmates with assignments and they pay you for it

I don't actually have the time to learn a new skill. I'm a medical student.
