If your Landlord lives in that House, he will have no choice than to quickly fix that Borehole Pump because he needs Water as well.
But since it is a 'Tenant's Community', if you people like, leave it like that for One Year, na una problem.

How much does it cost to buy a New Borehole Pump, that all of you cant contribute and replace it immediately, instead of disturbing somebody abroad?
You think someone who lives Abroad, has time for the chicken-change you guys pay her as Rent?
All your Rent combined for three years, may not be more than Cost of living for One Month, where she lives.

I'm a landlord and I have two tenants living in two of my flats in Lagos, I have a duplex for myself and family in front for my family whenever we are in Nigeria, but we only come to Nigeria like once in a couple of years, so I don't even know my tenants cos I never met them before.

I belong to the landlords whatshap group for the estate and I've been spending so much on the requirements in the estates. Road projects, transformer, garbage disposal, security fees, and lately survey plans for the entire estate. All of these were unforseen. I didn't just want the house to be empty, that was why I chose to have tenants, not for the money, I'm fine with the little I have.

Plus I spend on maintenance of the house all the time, I'm responsible for the cleaners that clean the entire place twice a month, painters fix where needs to be fixed, yet tenants only pay a flat fee once a year.

When these costs ok n my part are added up, I'm tempted to raise the rents for my tenants. Whoever can't afford the increments is free to move out. I don't even need the tenants no more, I prefer having no headaches with anyone, tenants included.
