Ajayi ke? we dey manage am for now
minfelix:
i will take Ajayi over Tosin for a starter at the afcon if you must remove Frederick…there is no way you will bench frederick and still bench the gentle giant Ajayi
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:41am On Oct 28, 2025
beefing Tosin is understandable and valid.

QueenJazz:
Looking at this lineup again, it's actually quite interesting. Unfortunately, our coaching crew have proven time and time again that the way they watch our football is not the way we watch our football. I'd like to see them try this lineup at least in a friendly but I won't hold my breath.

For obvious reasons, I'm beefing with Adarabioyo, so not sure if I'll want him in the squad. 😒
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:43am On Oct 28, 2025
then Frederick plays as RB.. still a spot for Adarabioyo if he repents soon enough before, not after the AFCON if/when we have qualified for the WC
TheSuperNerd:
That midfield is fire🔥🔥🔥 The front 3 is lit! But, this is not what we will have at the playoffs. No time for the crew to make these changes just yet.

In defence, Aina will be back in January. So unless we risk adding him to the squad to feature him in the later rounds of the Afcon if he is back early Jan.

Lastly, Where is Benjamin Frederick?? Joebie, no let me nod you! Commot Adara "waiting-for-england" and put our best Central joor.

QueenJazz:

based on seniority abi?

Meliforme:
Uche Christanthus should not be starting ahead of Ndidi, Alhassan or Onyeka until we see him play that role over and over.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:46am On Oct 28, 2025

that's why coaches like take pay cut wink

TheSuperNerd:
The Super Eagles may not be Africa's #1 on the rankings today but globally, they remain the biggest and most popular NT on the continent. Coaching Nigeria is arguably the biggest NT job in Africa.

Even you follow dey queue. Start from Sao Tome, Mbanu, u no want.

You always jump to support Yoruba boys! I don't have time for tribalist! My statement is simple to understand. Akin is not what our midfield needs now. He is too fragile for a 442 system. You did not see whre I said he is good na the other one you see. Rest Oga!
Kog45:
Hmm,now seria A no be league abi,a young player won MOTM against Fiorentina but is nothing to you...

Haha, Akinsanmiro never had a cap with eagles you don classified him along Akpoborie,Ekoku bla bla..

This wouldn't bring any change, at least not the way most assume. The only way the NFF changes is by good people getting into the mess and changing it from the inside out. And the only way good people can get in is to change the voting composition of the NFF to wrest power from the cabal cause right now only 46 members vote for the NFF board and at least 37 of them are politicians. The goal is to dilute their voting power by increasing the number of delegates allowed to vote to at least 100. (The composition of the extra delegate makeup is another conversation all together). This is the only way to effect change. But it's naive to think someone is coming to save our football, nobody is.
Every sector in Nigeria right now is bedeviled with corruption rarely will you find an honest Nigerian in helm of affairs so the NFF shouldn't come as a surprise

Al Hilal have convinced Nigerian striker Sunday Adetunji to obtain Sudanese citizenship.

He’s been in brilliant form for the club, scoring goals, leading the line and even helping Al Hilal qualify for the CAF Champions League group stages.

Now, Adetunji is eligible to play for Sudan, and could even make the squad for the AFCON in December!

Will Our friendly matches against south American teams not be honoured again?

I know it boils down to funds, but we can create a team B with players like Orban, Akinsanmiro and many other prospective eagles players to execute the games. While team A Eagles are on world cup playoff duty.

I pray and hope we never get to the extra time or worse penalty shootout in this playoff series Nigeria is about to participate in. If we can dispatch off Gabon in 90 minutes and the final the same fashion that will be better abeg . No be everybody get the stomach for penalty kicks

The way people here and on Twitter are downplaying Gabon is crazy. They're actually the deadliest team en route to our spot in the World Cup. Don't be fooled by the game against Benin. We still had plenty of defensive lapses in that game. We gave Benin lots of spaces. Benin were just not clinical and that's why they didn't punish us severely.

Gabon is the game that will make or break the Eagles in the playoffs. If we beat them, we are very likely going to the World Cup.
if we manage to beat Gabon even with our “so called defensive lapses, una shift focus to the next team in the final….and una go come remind us again that Gabon was not that clinical and the next team will punish us…

Gabon and DRC are the strongest teams in the playoffs based on the performances and results during qualification.
The SE have pedigree and momentum which counts during tournaments. It will be an interesting game but definitely not a walk over.
Gabon and DRC only swept aside the terrible minnows in their group…they could do anything against CIV and Senegal respectively…i know super eagles struggled against minnow in our group, but when they meet serious african teams that poses huge threat, we will treat their F up
