OPEN LETTER TO THE LABELED 💌

To the one they called too much
To the one religion judged before hearing your story
To the one who stopped going to gatherings because the whispers were louder than the sermons

This is for you🫵🏾

I know what it feels like to be labeled.
To be misunderstood because of how you look, how you express, or how you create.

I’ve heard the words too “worldly,” “rebellious,” “fake,” “unspiritual.” I’ve seen the stares, the distance, the disapproval.

But here’s what I’ve learned. Jesus never labeled people. He loved them.

He sat with the broken, touched the untouchable, and called the forgotten family.

You may carry tattoos on your skin
You may have gold in your hair or dreads that make them stare
You may have been told you don’t fit the “Religious image.”
But guess what
Neither did Jesus.
He was rejected, misunderstood, and called names —
Yet He loved louder.
He healed harder.
He forgave deeper.

So, to everyone who’s ever been boxed, branded, or broken or Labeled
You are seen. You are loved. You are chosen.
And no matter what label they’ve put on you, Grace still has your name on it.

(Romans 8:38-39 – “Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”)

This is your reminder:
You don’t have to clean up to come to Him.
You come to Him, and He does the cleansing through love.
(Titus 3:5 – Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us.)

On October 31st, 2025,
We’re releasing more than an album —
We’re releasing a sound, a cry, a movement.

NO LABEL isn’t just MUSIC
It’s a message.
A reminder that grace has no dress code.
That the finished work of the Cross still covers every story, every scar, every soul.

Gospel singer Tim Godfrey has penned an emotional open letter to individuals who have been judged, misunderstood, or labeled because of their appearance, lifestyle, or past mistakes.

In a heartfelt post shared on Instagram, Godfrey reflected on his own experiences of being criticized and misjudged, emphasizing that Jesus never labeled people but instead showed unconditional love and acceptance.

The award-winning singer reminded his followers that God’s love is not reserved for the perfect, but for everyone, regardless of their background or perceived flaws.

Citing Romans 8:38-39 and Titus 3:5, Godfrey stressed that salvation is a gift of mercy, not something earned through outward perfection.

He continued:

“You may carry tattoos on your skin. You may have gold in your hair or dreads that make them stare. You may have been told you don’t fit the ‘religious image.’ But guess what? Neither did Jesus. He was rejected, misunderstood, and called names — yet He loved louder.”

The gospel artist announced that on October 31, 2025, he will be releasing a new project titled “NO LABEL,” which he described as more than an album, a movement to remind people that grace has no dress code.

Tim is funny and i say this in a sincere cool way.

Same defensive lines. "Jesus doesn't label, he ate with the ungodly bla bla". But, jesus used that opportunity he had with them to tell them how they should live a new life and turn away from that old ways. He didn't condone their atrocities, he didn't keep quiet so I don't know how these repeated lines make sense to people like this.

WHat will Jesus do. Ask your self

If you are worldly, prayerfully change your ways. No need for long explanation.
i know he's looking for 'negative' publicity for his album. But still, Jesus was quite harsh on wrong IN the church/temple than outside. If you claim to be christian, be one, not a chriSTAIN.

The question is, does Tim consider himself a minister? If yes, what did Jesus do before sending out His disciples? Did He pick up people (non followers) and make them minister alongside with him first? I'm tired of hearing 'judge not'. No one is judging, but keep sacred things sacred. It's true Jesus Christ loved them all..
But, they were actually broken for Christ. An example of this sinner, I am certain she cannot continue on her old path after that encounter with Christ.

The question is not about the first love we have received in Christ...It's about growing and forsaking our old ways after we have received and remain in Christ.

The issue is not about whom you were before you met JESUS but whom you are becoming thereafter. You wont appear as you have been before your alleged encounter with JESUS and claim you are loved. What has changed - 2Corinthians 5"17. What has happened after receiving HIM? John1:12

My dear just improve yourself spiritually and not defending yourself worldly and carnally and claim that you are loved and begin to compare yourself with JESUS.

No decent church will invite a gospel artist that wears tattoos like a secular singer...

Except those disco churches that preach 'once saved forever saved' no matter your sin.
